Washington Heights is one of Manhattan's most vibrant Dominican neighborhoods — merengue spills out of car windows, mangonadas are sold on corners, and Fort Washington Avenue's medical campus (NewYork-Presbyterian) anchors the local economy. Fort Tryon Park and the Cloisters are hidden gems.
