We believe every tenant deserves access to the same information that landlords, brokers, and property managers already have. By aggregating public records and community reviews into one easy-to-use tool, we aim to level the playing field for millions of renters across NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Houston.

Our Data Sources

Lucid Rents aggregates publicly available data from city-specific government agencies across all five cities, including:

  • NYC — HPD violations, DOB violations, 311 complaints, NYPD crime data, PLUTO tax lot data, rent stabilization (RPIE filings), energy benchmarking, MTA transit
  • Los Angeles — LAHD code violations, LADBS permits, LAPD crime data, LA County Assessor records, RSO status
  • Chicago — CDPH violations, CDBS permits, CPD crime data, Cook County Assessor records, RLTO protections
  • Miami — Miami-Dade code violations, RER permits, MDPD crime data, Property Appraiser records, building recertification data
  • Houston — City of Houston permits, HPD crime data, HCAD property records, flood zone data

All data is sourced from official open data portals and public datasets. We sync our database daily to ensure information is as current as possible.
