Unit 5F Pros: Really friendly neighbors, truly a community here. Long time residents on different floors. If you take the time to say hi to everyone and help out, they'll do the same to you. The super Jefrey is the best and is constantly improving the building for the residents. Able to sign up for exterminator, but he doesnt do much if you have a pet. Cons: Landlord is illegaly raising the rent ob rent-stabilized units. They have no registered many units for approximately 10 years and are raising them to "market value", even if there is little change. Theyve tried to dramatically raise the rent on my unit to $300 each time there was renewal, but we negotiated down. It was advertised with laundry in building, but it wasn't working since 2017. Package theft, mice, and roaches but it depends on the floor you live on and also thats just new york Advice to landlord: STOP ILLEGALY RAISING RENT ON STABILIZED UNITS

Pros: Realizing I liked living in the neighborhood Cons: Where to begin... "In building laundry" that was broken for 1.5 years out of the 2 years I lived there. Never got fixed, never got a rent reduction for amenities not delivered. Management is a mess, maintenance request is a mess, my radiator was leaking puddles onto my floor and banging so hard every 10 seconds like the Ghost of Christmas past that my neighbors thought I was sledgehammering the walls and it was FREEZING. Management came to fix it twice (poorly) and then told me that "radiators are all meant to be loud". Bro when I tell you that these radiators kept me from sleeping more than 3h every night during the winter... I mean it. Advice to landlord: There's no redeeming them lmao

Elevator breaks down often Traffic noise and loud passersby can be irritating. School across the street had buses idling which affects air quality and more noise. Advice to landlord: Elevator is a real problem

Pros: Great neighborhood, safe neighborhood, elevator building, buzzer, love my apartment. Friendly neighbors. Pets allowed. Packages are safely delivered. Cons: Management, management and management. Rent higher than the average in the area. Occasional pest issues. Water and heat are not always working properly. Laundry has been “under renovation” for 2 whole years now. Maintenance requests aren’t dealt with fast enough. Tenants’ concerns are simply ignored. Management only cares about cashing rent... also know that you hear your neighbors so clearly you’d think you all live together. Advice to landlord: Fix the laundry room. Listen and assist the tenants. Fix the elevator. Pick up the phone and answer emails...

Pros: The people in the building are very welcoming. Building is safe and the super is very helpful. Cons: There is no laundry room despite management saying they are fixing it(lies). It has been years and the laundry room is just one washer and one dryer that are both unhooked and not working. The building management is bad with responding to needs or complaints. The stainless steel refrigerator had mold all in it when we moved in and it took them two months to replace the fridge only to give us an all black cheap refrigerator that doesn’t match our stainless steel appliances. Advice to landlord: Get the laundry room up and running as you have advertised the laundry room as a part of the reason rent is so high. And when replacing appliances, replace with the same exact appliance that was visually appealing to get us to rent the apartment in the first place.
