The staff is excellent. But unless you are a 20-30 year old who loves the constant smell of marijuana 24-7 I wouldn't move her. You can smell the stench of pot the moment you walk in the building. Has gotten worst over the past few years I've lived here.

The units are great, but the building is treated like a college dorm by the residents. The building is mostly college kids now who drink and party all night with loud noise and the building doesn't do much in the way of controlling them. Would advise strongly against renting here to anyone over the age of 23 The doormen are seriously amazing though

The building is not well maintained and horribly disorganized. Management does not take into consideration the residents when starting construction projects or even maintaining the building. They property and resident managers are completely non-responsive. And though the front desk staff as a few good members, on the whole they are extremely rude and careless. I would not recommend, and if you do take a look at the building try and speak with those currently living there, to get an accurate impression, most will tell you they are extremely disappointed given they cost of the building, with what they are getting.

this building is poorly managed, with staff stealing tenant's valuable belongings (happened to two neighbors recently). management did not have the patience to help investigate, but blamed everything on tenants for not taking care of their personal items. Also agree with the following 4 observations mentioned by the other folks who posted before me: 1). extremely long period of noisy construction since the very first day when i moved in (without a reasonable notice, but it was advertised to us as "quiet" building). once you moved in, you are stuck. 2). aggressive leasing staff who tell lies and can't keep up promises made. 3). leasing staff opened up tenant's unit without permission, dealing with my neighbor in a rude manner. 4). do your research carefully and negotiate hard. this building is too expensive that does not worth the price, does not offer the amenities that other buildings offer, and very difficult to come up with reasonable renewal terms. I would not recommend this building, especially when there are better and newer buildings available around the neighborhood that give out much better deals and more reasonable price for both new tenants and renewal tenants.

If you want to smell either pot or pinsol this building is for you. They are obsessed with cleaning and it smells like a bottle of chemicals, there is one annoying doorman who is obsessed and cleans non stop all day. The rest of the staff are great. The hallways smell like either pot or cigarettes and they spray lysol to cover it up. There is no ventillation in the hallways because the building was not built well and the hallways are very long. So if you want to breathe I would suggest looking elsewhere. Worst environmentally friendly building and worst apartement experience I've had living in NYC.

The worst rental experience I had in NYC! The leasing office get into my apt without my permission when i am still in lease! Even though I told them I would not extend the lease, I am still legally live in this apt! This is so rude......!! I even don't know do they bring my stuff out! Worst building!

Seriously the worst of the apartment building is the leasing office. Having a similar experience with a review below, the lady who deals with leasing is awful. She apparently hates her job and her response is rude and awful to read, and I'm just trying to find a place to live. I wish I can skip dealing with her rudeness and my experience would be so much better. This apartment is generally really nice. Doormen are nice, repair guys are great. Sound proofing is bad - you basically hear everything. Gym is so small (three treadmills, two elliptical, a weight and two bicycles). But the main issue is the management (leasing, paper work) of this building. Work on it Rockrose.

Staff is wonderful. Repairs are done promptly. It's less expensive than some other buildings. I've had a great experience here. The only negatives have been cigarette smoke in the hallways/stairs and sometimes permeating into my apartment (which may be an issue with NY apartments in general). Also, occasionally if my neighbor plays music too loud, I can feel the wall vibrating.

The mice issue in this building is getting out of control and yet management is doing very little to address this issue. This building is billed as a luxury rental however they do not by policy update cabinets to the standards of a luxury building or to help resolve mice nesting in the cabinets. Rental please be ware.
