The neighbors are great, and the elevator works most of the time. It’s also close to the 1 train, and not too far from the A. It’s also close to great restaurants and parks! The hallways are always dusty. Some washers and dryers in the basement laundry room were broken for about 2 years. It’s hard to buzz people into the building. Everything definitely has a “landlord special” quality to it. It also took months to replace a fire door in the hallway. And after a fire, rather than actually cleaning the smoke damage, they just painted over it. Maintain a frequent and regular cleaning schedule of the common areas. And fix things in a timely manner, particularly if not fixing something’s could endanger tenants.

There's a roof. grimy. Aggressive, Rmpolite, unhelpful super and manager. Elevator breaks constantly, with no notice posted. Hire a super that can actually communicate with tenants, and a manager that actually gives a shit.

I liked that the super managed to kill 60 rats in one week. I didn’t like the fact that the basement was converted into 3 apartments. Get information about tenants before allowing them to sign a lease.

easy proximity to the 1 and A train. -Units arrive in unclean condition when tenants first move in. - dishwasher has remained broken for 1.5 years since my move-in, despite submitting many repair requests. - multiple occasions of absent hot water with zero communication from mgmt -disruptive and boisterous residents arriving at late hours - stairwell doors banging shut despite repeated grievances / appeals for an automated closer installation. - litter scattered throughout stairwells, corridors, and lift - residents demonstrate a lack of regard for the building or their living environment - super openly grumbles about tenant complaints Recruit staff who genuinely prioritize upkeep and facility administration, and who are committed to guaranteeing occupants enjoy a secure and sanitary environment.
