I moved from another state into a unit at San Cierra. Upon moving in I immediately realized that the unit was not adequately cleaned. Dirty tub, dirty stove, stained walls. I brought that to the attention of the manager, she admitted that they no longer had a cleaning crew. There were some other issues; the oven did not work; this was a big deal because I don’t eat out much and don’t fry my food. The oven was much needed. The washer was rusty. The dryer did not work well; I had to dry my clothes 3 times and even then, my laundry would be damp. The bases of the kitchen cabinets were loose. The balcony floor had major stains; green and brown stains; the stains covered most of the balcony floors, it was very visible and disgusting not knowing what type of stains they were. There were greasy hands and fingerprints on the walls. I brought that to the attention of management immediately. She gave me a form to list all issues that were present upon moving into the unit, I completed the form and turned the form to management. WELL….It took 6 months for the oven to be fixed, I was told multiple times by maintenance that they were missing the parts they needed to fix the oven. Maintenance said that we would get a new washer and dryer, they returned and said that the one in the unit would be fixed instead. I remained with the rusty washer, the dryer improved however instead of 3 drying cycles, I now needed to run the dryer 2 times in order that my clothes are dry or close to being dry. I was told by the property manager that she would not call for pressure cleaning for just one unit, therefore my balcony never got pressure cleaned. I attempted to clean the balcony myself, unsuccessfully. I bought an oversize carpet for 70 dollars and covered the stains. I decided to break my lease and move out 7 months later. I paid the 3500-hundred-dollar fee for breaking the lease and thought that was all I owed. I moved out and cleaned the apartment from head to toe. I later received a notification for unpaid fees. When I inquired, I was charged for the damages that was in the apartment when I moved in. The previous manager was no longer with the company; the form I turned in was never scanned into my profile therefore I was told there was no proof despite the many, many work orders that I submitted my first month in the unit. I was also charged $170 for a palm size coffee stain in the bedroom carpet, I admit I caused; however, I did not think that these people would not cover any normal wear and tear to the apartment. I was told there were holes on the outside walls of the balcony, I was completely dumb founded, I never even gave the outside walls a glance and had no idea what they were talking about. I barely sat outside; Texas was very hot during that time. I have an adult child. There were only 2 people, we have no local family or friends, no one was ever in that apartment but the 2 of us and I was in that apartment for only 7 months. This manager went as far to say that “well I did not charge you for the hair we found in the bathroom drawer”. I was charged for a stain that was in the bathroom cabinet, which was caused by my hair product, a small stain. She spoke to me as if the apartment was not lived in. I was charged a large amount for water, she explained that the apartment doesn’t charge for water the first month, therefore we pay for that first month upon leaving. What blew my mind was when I told the manager that I was breaking my lease. I told them that I was leaving by the first since I paid for the whole month. However, I was able to move everything out by the first week of the month and attempted to return the key, the manager said that I was not allowed to return the keys prior to the date I gave them. I then returned the keys on the 28th of the month. I was charged rent for the first day of the month because that was the date, I gave them therefore I owe them that one day rent. Despite the fact that I tried to turn the keys in 2 weeks prior. The legality of that I don’t know. I was then made aware that the apartment manager I met when I moved in was a fill in for the actual manager who was out on sick leave. Therefore, everything I said was my word against hers, she did not document any of my complaints or scan the form with damages. She was an imposter; however, she was their imposter not mine. As you are guessing, I lost my deposit and had to pay additional fees. I wrote this long statement because. ALL FUTURE TENANTS BEWARE, from my experience, no one gets their deposit back from San Cierra Apartment. The previous office manager (Janelle) knew she was leaving and did not care to document my complaints and screwed me in the process. The new manager (Maria), despite the fact that she was the one who had maintenance fix my oven after 6 months, had a job to do and that was to rob me of my deposit and as much money as possible. She did her job well. ALL FUTIRE TENANTS; take pictures, make copies of forms and document well. Despite my best effort, I fell short of proper documentation and that was a costly mistake.

I have enjoyed living here, there were a few things that have been corrected, but I love my home. The only thing I will say is I wish we had more parking spaces available. I love the quietness, thank.

There is no parking for my guests, there is a lack of communication. I have to email or send multiple messages in order to get a response. Most of the times I just have to walk to the office to resolve the issue.

Overall we have very few if any complaints. Its well-maintained and our concerns are met with timely service. We are not high-maintenance tenants anyway, but we have a very good relationship with the current staff and maintenace crew.

It started out very unprofessional. It started smoothing out. Once Haven residential management company took over. But now my issue was with racism and inequality towards me as a tenant. I feel that the current staff allows my neighbor, ----- in apartment, ---- to take unfair advantage of me. And now I'm being asked to possibly move.

It has been better especially with the new management. I see that they are enforcing a few rules. I have no other comments to get to the 200 characters. Need to upgrade this survey with no minimum requirements

Terrible. Worst experience ever since the very same day we moved into an apartment totally unfinished. And had to wait 3 weeks till it was completed. In addition to our own problems in our unit, the lighting of the signage at the gate went out, and stayed like that for 3 months. I had to insist so much in getting it fixed, that out of getting tired of my complaints, they finally fixed it. Conclusion: we were tricked and mislead into believing this was a luxury community.

Good, a little concerned with the young children allowed in the pool area, unattended by a parents. The kids use pool furniture like trampolines, throw things that can hurt other residents, their language is offensive. Residents want a peaceful environment that's inviting nor offensive.

I really don't like to type out stuff on surveys. I don't mind answering questions with ratings, or multiple-choice answers. It's nice to include an answer box like this one in case I do feel like I would like to say/include something outside of what was asked.

I don't really like to make comments like this. I will say this. I don't like change in mgt. Companies. We have been here along time. People do not follow rules. Loud car noises, heavy feet going up the stairs. I haven't been able to swim in the pool for 2 years, repairs, kids, broken pipes, etc.
