If you're considering Sunsetway apartments, please heed this warning: think twice, or better yet, run the other way. We made the mistake of trading a few dollars in savings for what has become a living hell for our family, and we are now actively speaking with a lawyer to address the severe issues we've endured. Our time here has been nothing short of a nightmare, primarily due to a rampant mold infestation that management seems content to literally paint over. My wife and children were constantly sick, and our newborn couldn't sleep through the night because of the mold's impact. It's heartbreaking to see your family suffer when it could have been prevented by responsible management. Speaking of management, they are terrible. They hide in the office all day, seemingly doing nothing to address the escalating problems. Beyond the health hazards, the building itself feels like it's collapsing, and they even sell parking spaces, adding insult to injury. This isn't just about saving a couple of bucks; it's about your family's health and safety. The conditions here are unacceptable, and we deeply regret ever moving in. Do not sacrifice your family's well-being for this place.

I've lived there for a year and a half, i can tell you ppl, dont waste your time. These ppl are crooked, the minute that you move out of that palce, they will torture your credit, if its jot your credit then will somehow. I left my apt clean, rented a rug doctor for the floor, wipe the kotchen. Guess what, they ----ED IT UP and sent me a picture of my apt. They did that because the knew i was moving out of town. Now I have to go to court to pay -------- that i didnt do. Somebody need to report that to city of MIAMI. AGAIN THEY ARE CROOKS.

HORRIBLE!! I been living here for a year and it has been awful, the studios floor falling apart the fridge an ice block all the time you call them to fix it and it takes a week or more. The office personal except the accountant are very rood and unprofessional. oh and the so called "deposit" we give at he begging is a move in fee that they keep at the end. The smell in the complex due to the cats its disgusting. and th smell coming from under the apartments from another world. NOT A PLACE TO LIVE AT ALL!! $200.00 FEE FOR PAYING LATE?? COME ON EVERYONE HAS DIFFICULTIES AT SOME POINT! The laundry always broken washers or dryers!! THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE NEIGHBORS!

I ate crap there.... lieterally, there was crap from cats on the wall..... i ate it... because i was hungry and they said that they would not fix anything. i had to fix the light, bath tub, kitchen, bedrooms and etc. i ran out of money so i could not eat and they took all ma money. there was a crack ----- living next to me... she got evicted, so because they took ma money, i rented the kitchen for her to sleep and eat. she paid me 45 dollars a month. she slept on the floor. i hate this place! not even the crack ----- is coming back tonight. she took ma turkey i was suppose to eat. dont rent here,,,, please stay away there are thieves stealing cars and rebuilding them inside the apartments. there was a puddle of oil on the carpet when i moved in 2 months ago. they still havent changed it. pleas stay away from here. This place is GARBAGE. I live there for a year and regretted every single day. where to start....there are way to many cats and not to mention that you have the old lady's feeding them so they wont ever go away. the management are the lowest most annoying people you will ever encounter and not to mention the the horrible service. it takes them weeks to mow the lawn so there were FLEES in the apt. there is a gap between the apt floor and the ground so the cats live under you. there are roaches and spiders and the kitchen is garbage. everything breaks down and you think you're going to save money on rent you are very wrong. due to the fact that the air is the old school ones the light bill is super high!!!!! i wouldn't recommend this place even on my worse enemy!

Last week I went to see the apartments and get the application., Your sitting in there listening to them., One is yelling to her kid while the other is yelling """it smells like ---- in here., Somebody steped on ---- and brought it in here """ But ok., let it go I need this apartment. So i go back. I went this weekened to turn in my application for an apartment. Here's a first impression, WOW> ! ------ the lady behind the desk has her legs up on her desk while what i hope was scratching herself. Her what I assume to be her boyfriend was on the phone with her. First she did not bother to put her legs down., she only pulled her hand out from where it was to take my application,. She did not hang up her strange conversation with the man on the phone., She instead told him " In a minute, not know in a minute hold on" She took my application ( whith that hand )and said I would need to pay for 2 applications., To Sunset Way Apartments ADDITIONAL INCOME does not include your spouses income. And to top it off it's a fish and bait, everywhere you see these apartments they are advertised as $ 699 for a 1 bedroom. Once you get there and you show them that they tell you oh thats old 2 weeks later its still there but the ad is still old. FALSE ADVERTISING., When you call they send you a coupon for the application fee. Once you go to your appointment they don't validate the coupon for you. If the woman at the office is the Face in front of SUNSET WAY APARTMENTS., I could only imagine what dealing with them every month would be like.

I lived at Sunset for two years. During that time, the exterminator came by once. I informed management about the many ants in my tiny studio apt. They told me to buy some insect killer spray. For 6 months I had to go to the main office everyday to pick up my mail, some person driving under the influence drove right into the mailboxes and destroyed them. It took management that long to fix them. I had my bicycle stolen from right in front of my door. I was going bike riding one Saturday morning and forgot my cell phone. I left the bike against those flimsy wooden fences that they put up. I was in the apt less than 1 minute, and when I went back outside my bike was gone. I called the police, and he said, sometimes we have to count ours loses . I found my bike a week later in front of someone s apt, while I was checking to see if it really was mine, someone came running out of the apt and immediately said, I found it out behind the apartments . Management no longer screens the people that live there. You have teens selling drugs at night right in front of you. Sex offenders, crack heads, etc, etc. My advise, look for something better, you will definitely have to pay more in rent, but you will be much safer and comfortable. Oh, by the way, if you still decide to move in, be prepared to purchase some apartment insurance, they won t let you move in without it. Good luck.

I was in a hurry to rent a new place when I moved in here. I should've done more research. The staff was nice enough at least to me, they even offered not to raise my rent if I renewed my lease. But no way could I take 1 more year here. Especially in summer because of the weird outdated a\c. I paid almost $200 for fpl 1 month because I had to leave it running all day long or the place would take forever to cool down again. The apt itself is outdated ,awful carpeting and wallpaper. Also tons of stray cats everywhere! Like I said i just want to forget I ever lived here.

I relocated here from north miami and since I was new to the area I did all my research and found out that these apts were pretty cheap so I decided to move in, but when I lived there for a few months I realized why the price was so cheap, its because the staff and there apts are CHEAP!!! Don't even think about moving here the a/c are the old fashioned ones(yeah, the boxed a/c) and the fpl bill is super high because if your a/c is off, you will roast and forget about baking cookies for a party, your guest will melt before eating the cookies, and hopefully if you do move here I hope you don't have kids, because when they run around the house it feels like an earthquake because there is a hollow area between the apt and the ground floor, so expect lost of insects too. I hope you take into consideration this review because no one warned me, and I am a mother of 2 and I don't care how cheap it is here I will never renew my lease, besides if you really look careful there is plenty of apt's for about and extra $50 bucks you will get a nice home. TRUST ME.
