I recently had to move to this complex as an emergency and I already regret it. The unit is very old and poorly maintained even though it was remodeled. The management is horrible. The lady in charge is not courteous at all and very irresponsible. I have many issues to be taken care of and have requested their attention, but so far I have not had any response. The laundry room is literally falling apart with very old and broken washers and dryers and the management is not responsible for it. I definitely do not recommend this place for living.

I was living there for three months, and I really don't like it. The elevator has been broken for at least thee times in three months. I lived on the 4th floor, the last day i moved out, the evelator was broken so I had to take the stairs to put my stuffs on the car. And it took me almost 4hours to do it. And the voice control really is not that good. There is a big gap under each doors. And you can hear people talk outside the doors. After I got off work, and I took the elevator up to 4th floors, as soon as I step out of the doors, I heard peoples screaming. At first I thought there is like a broke in or something. But after a while it was just a couple having sex in the apartment and I can hear it even I am 15metera away from the doors.

The apartments are specifically for people on a budget to move out and beggers cant be choosers type of apartment complex. You pay for what you get kinda deal. My biggest complaint with this propertyw as the fact that I saw 3 units and they all smelled like dirty water/dirty armpit/cat urine . So I figured Iam on a budget right now and made a last minute emergency move so I took the last one I looked at thinking ok I can make this stink go away and deal with the apartment for a year (temporary) . So I rent a rug cleaner go over that carpet about 10 times, Paint the old looking walls and the stink is less but still not where I would want it to be. The neighborhood to the east is a good neighborhood the west NOT SO MUCH. but inside the complex it seems to be a safe quiet neighborhood so far. I have only been there 2 days. I have to admit if this stink problem or if I notice a roach problem here I will be leaving and breaking my contract because I have a 3 yr old and I cannot take the chance of this place harming his health. For movers on a budget and tight on money this is a decent place besides the stinky apartments.

I lived at Bel Aire for nearly a year and a half, and I am so glad I left. These apartments may seem like a good deal at first glance, but stay away. The fact is, they are the only non low income housing apartment complex on all of 216th street, so they take advantage of that. They also don't tell you that the price of rent is actually 25 or so dollars higher than they advertise. Once you sign the lease, they tell you about a pest control fee (which is a crock cause roaches are everywhere) and some insurnace fee being added. The apartments are old and falling apart. In the summer, termites swarm in the apartments. The management seems like they care for the first couple of calls for the maintenance guy, but then they just stop ignoring your calls. I had a bike stolen from right in front of my apartment even when it was locked up securely to the fence. The worst thing is, when I moved out, I never received my deposit back. I called the management ever day for weeks, and they never responded to my calls. They are crooks. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I have lived here for over a year and have enjoyed it very much. The Property Manager and Maintenance staff have responded quickly to my concerns/maintenance needs. It is very quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The canal that runs alongside the complex is very serene. The rental price is reasonable and the apartment I have is very spacious. They are built like cottages, so no one is above you or below you too make noise. I would definitely recommnend living here.

This place has to be the most disgusting place I've EVER lived in, and I've lived in many apartments in a ten year span. 1st let me say in many apartment buildings there is a major termite infestation that apparently has been around for a couple of years. In my apartment there were termites EVERYWHERE!!! everywhere I looked there was termite wings all over my furniture and kitchen area and I guess termites love to come out at night because we always had to get up and swat at them and the most disturbing part was they were all over our clean bed and kitchen. Finally we had to break our lease because of this situation that never got resolved. The manager would send the maintenance man and he would spray around but that never seemed to work. The managers excuse was "Well, we live in Florida!" and yes, they do have pest control once a month or so however, the manager said that they don't handle termites only ant's, spiders, roaches and ect... Like I said, I lived in many apartments in a 10 year span and never came across this problem. If you want to live in a infested apartment to right ahead and be my guest. Anyways, when we did decide to move, we went up in the attic to get our boxes to move and the WHOLE ENTIRE attic was also termite infested and the WINGS were everywhere.....VERY GROSS. And one more thing to mention the manager is horrible and doesn't really do her job properly. And a side note, one day I was heading to my mail box and I found a baggie of cocaine so I would say that drugs is a major issue in this place and I wouldn't want to raise my children in this place especially a new born with the termite problem. I'm very happy that I moved outta there. Anyways, I attached a picture to this post to show you termites on my kitchen stove. P.S. - My building isn't the only one that had the termites. The maintenance man told my husband and I that there were a lot of buildings that had the infestation even his own apartment. So there was no option to move to another unit.

If you are looking for high end luxury, look somewhere else; However, If your primary concern is affordability Bel Aire is worth consideration. I lived in the complex for 4 years. The units are around 20 years old, and showing signs of age but they are clean. Other than the price, the big positives are the location and the management. Whenever I had an issue, it was dealt with expeditiously and to my satisfaction. My unit didn't have a dishwasher, which would have been nice. noise is sometimes an issue. The adjacent neighborhood to the west is not a good one, but I felt safe in the apartment complex itself.
