“Pros: Rent stabilized! Easy trash and recycling management. Thick walls- I never hear my neighbors unless they’re vacuuming or having a party. Back units are especially quiet. Cons: I do seem to get pests in my unit, but that’s probably just the downside of living on the ground floor. I wish we could pay rent online. Super can be slow to respond about nonurgent work (I had a leaky faucet and it took a few calls). I get terrible light in my unit Advice to landlord: Faster response time would be great.”

“Pros: Close to Prospect Park, apartment was a good size Cons: Multiple scaldings per shower, flickering electricity when using appliances, lack of garbage mgmt in front of the building attracted many many rats, inner courtyard was a dump Advice to landlord: Reassess the garbage strategy and hire a pest consultant to eliminate the large rat infestation in the front yard of the three connected buildings.”

“Pros: Location is great, right next to the train and park Cons: Unresponsive landlord and super. Constant stream of trash inside the building and out, rat infestation on entire west side inside and out. Stairwells constantly have peeling leaf paint, trash, filth, cobwebs, broken windows, with packages being stolen. Intercom has been broken the entire two years I have resided here and homeless people prowl around at night in the stairwells and sleep inside the building. The building had a D energy rating so prepare to pay out the wallet for electric (especially in the summer if you have an ac unit). Lots of homeless and vagrants hang out at the building. Center courtyard could be used as an extra storage space but it’s literally a pit of trash. Broken windows in the common areas. Advice to landlord: Clean up the trash, and get rid of the rat infestation, clean, paint the lobby and install better lighting. Fix the broken intercom and doors so our packages don’t continue to get stole and to stop homeless encampments and trespassing, replace the broken windows”
