“Unit 1d Pros: Location + my rent is good price + tends to be quiet Cons: Management doesn’t reply to maintenance requests, apartment is in disrepair and it will be months. Have had roach problem, was nearly impossible to get building to address it. Mold issue not taken care of. Took over a year to get critical repairs done. Advice to landlord: Address issues, respond to tenant issues by being helpful.”

“Pros: I liked the low rent and convenient location. The live-in super is amazing. He is willing to help and works hard to keep the building clean and trash managed. Cons: Neighbors were loud both above and next door. Advice to landlord: Enforce the floor covering mandates”

“Pros: Awesome location Relatively decent sized apartment for affordable price Responsive-ish management (you need to call to get answers/help) Cons: To get requests done quickly you need to call Super can be super rude/mean for no reason Occasional sketchy characters in the area on the corner Lots of street noise on the first floor Occasional package theft”

“Pros: Is there any? Cons: The super takes forever to fix anything (if it ever gets fixed). We had black mold in the bathroom from a leak from the apartment above that took two months to get fixed. Will definitely see some bugs. The area has a lot of crazy people at night selling drugs on the corner deli. Advice to landlord: Everything needs renovation”

“Pros: *Relatively cheap rent *Good neighborhood Cons: *The walls are thin. You hear everything your neighbor does, so they better be respectful and quiet or you will be miserable. Some neighbors are, others are a nightmare (barking dogs, musical instruments, or just loud people). *The super is not very responsive. *The corner is a long-term illegal drug market, and junkies often hang out on the building stoop. Advice to landlord: Invest in sound absorbing panels or soundproof drywall for shared walls. Enforce 75% carpeting rule.”
