“Pros: The building is close to the F train, about a 5 minute walk. Washer/dryer in-unit. Cons: The building is infested with mice and management does nothing about it. They send the same person to “patch holes” one out of every five times you reach out begging for them to do something and the problem is never fixed. During the winter, the heat is on maybe 15 minutes a day so you go to bed shivering and wake up shivering. Walking into the apartment building through the main door downstairs, it smells like a disgusting farm because of them either letting the garbage sit for too long or potential mice decomposing in the walls. When you have rent issues with getting charged random fees, management does not reply, they’re impossible to get ahold of on the phone and they don’t answer emails. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to your tenants and imagine if it was YOU living here and how you’d want to be respected.”
— 83 HENRY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Affordable, natural light, felt safe and comfortable, no disruptive or noisy tenants. Responsive super. Cons: Noise from the trains but you get used to it. Weak water pressure in bathroom.”
— 83 HENRY STREET · Manhattan“Pros: the structure of the apartment itself is very nice, open and high ceilings Cons: we had a broken fridge twice, broken stove, very low water pressure the whole time we lived here, broken washing machine briefly. everything but the water pressure was fixed eventually, the fridge took ages though. it's incredibly loud because the apartments are right under the train. the windows are sound proof but only partially”
