“Pros: Good clean unit and building Building staff are great Nice views Cons: Management impossible to reach Rent hikes upon lease Elevators can be slow at times”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Pretty new building. Nice staff Cons: Can take awhile for elevator to arrive”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“We had a hellish experience in this Section 8 dog run masquerading as a luxury apartment Our child was charged by 2 aggressive dogs off leash and it scared him to death. We were charged 5-6 times over the years and the building did nothing except write 2 letters to the dog owners. The building constantly tried to position this as a tenant to tenant dispute when it was a case of depraved indifference by the dog owners, the management companies (3 of then, all cowards) and the building owners. The elevators never worked properly from the start and replacement 5-6 years ago didn’t solve the problem. Compensation for 15 years of this and approx 6-7 years of tge dogs debacle was one $10 Starbucks gift card. If you like section 8 tenants scrawling on walls, smoking in stairwells, and dropping f-bombs in the lobby in front of your children, this is the building for you. I went hoarse screaming at management over the last dog incident. They’re sociopaths. There’s new management, but after experiencing 3 nyc property management firms I believe 99% of nyc real estate people are revolting human beings. Dog owners run the place. I had a white 20 something woman’s dog jump on me and put his paws on my incision 4 weeks after abdominal surgery. It happened bc the lobby was backed up w people waiting for the one elevator working at 6 pm on a Friday night. T was also fun to be threatened in the lobby when I told a large woman from uptown to stop dropping f bombs in the lobby. The doorman called the cops. The mother of the teen resident who invited the fat profane guest was called. She had left her son alone and he brought his thuggish friends in for a party. The mother didn’t chastise the son. She tried to attack me and the cops dragged her out. Months later she saw me in the lobby and started berating me. I backed up to the desk to ask the doorman are you seeing and hearing this? He said yes. The super arrived and AGAIN cast this as a tenant to tenant dispute when his employee told him she attacked me verbally at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon. The super told me to write up my version. I told the super to go to h—. He’s an Irish guy, gone to a different building, and we got along, even after this incident. I’m just getting warmed up. There were MANY more dog incidents, including a neighbor who moved out after being charged and a beloved maintenance guy who told me confidentially that the dogs charged him and scared him to death. Until recently I was on the building’s email list. In July or so they sent an email saying that people were throwing garbage out of windows and that such garbage was landing on outdoor space some apartments on the 7th floor enjoy River East is a Section 8 grift and dog park masquerading as a luxury building. It’s hell unless you’re an inconsiderate dog owner, a section 8 beneficiary, or a glutton who likes paying $5800 to walk 20+ floors multiple times per year when the elevators blow up”

— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“It actually feels like home and I have never rented an apartment in my entire life. The staff is very welcoming and helpful It is always clean Very nice. I like the way the store is right downstairs in the building and whether its good or bad weather the necessities or even specialties are right here”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Nice enough building at first look. once in, you find the finishes are very cheap. the maintenance is purely to keep things moving along. Poor building management overall Look before you rent here. the elevators are under engineered for the size of the building. many elevator break downs or used by staff for building tasks that should be done off hours only.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“I highly recommend RiverEast to anyone moving to NYC or looking for a new place in NYC. It’s such a great place to reside in, the staff are kind, helpful and approachable. The location is great and the building is so clean, calm and quiet. Maintenance request are tackled promptly and professionally. I definitely recommend RiverEast with no reservations! P.S. I’m planning to add this positive feedback (with an improved narrative) in Google upon ending my lease -for privacy reasons- and this is the least I can do for such an amazing living experience at RiverEast!”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Unit 3H Pros: Convient location to transportation Cons: Elevators often broken even after replacement. High staff turn over. Management seem indifferent on retaining renters. Advice to landlord: Treat your customers better and a little respect”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“good community to live.Safe and secured.Good Maintenance and no issues with neighbours. All the maintenance requests are completed in time. The building manager helped me in getting my name added to lease.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“community is good . I just hope that rivereast goes back in time and be as it was when they first open it up , clean, consistency and luxurious. That they get a handyman capable of fixing things correctly”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Unit 3h Pros: clean, but cheaply done Cons: elevators are a constant problem, even though they were replaced in the last two years Advice to landlord: allow for escalation of issues, you cannot go any higher than the building manager and she is not very responsive. transparent accounting process would be appreciated. Rent is increased every year and they add "service" fees on top of rent increases but no one knows what the service fees are for. recent updates are cheap, appliances are old and need frequent repairs and the laminate flooring is laid on top of unsealed parquet that warps when wet.”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“It is a solid building with very attentive staff and the common areas of the building are very clean. The roof view is beautiful and i feel safe and secure here. They do a great job with the inventory of packages”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Pros: Close to Q Close to Parks and Ferry Packages are secure and well organized Friendly staff Great Views from rooftop Management is friendly Cons: Rooftop is rarely open. BBQ grill is no good. Very noisy from 1st ave and traffic entering FDR Neighborhood is boring. Management not always upfront and not very helpful. Elevators are constantly down. Advice to landlord: Improve communication and amenities.”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Well constructed building and well maintained building. Cons: Maintenance requests take forever ever since the management changed from Rose Associates to Greystar. Previously, requests were handled within a few hours. Now most requests take a day or two, more if they don’t have replacement appliances. Drier too 2 weeks to be fixed, air conditioner took a few days to be replaced.”
— 408 EAST 92 STREET · Manhattan“The experience has been exellent. Love the upkeeping of the building. I also love how welcoming the staff at the concierge is. Everyone makes an effort to get to know you and most importantly they're helpful. Thanks Rivereast!”

— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“This is a great apartment, and I am super excited to live here. The appliances, interior, and all the facilities are fantastic. Also, the moving experience was also wonderful. I'd like to especially mention the management. Alexis West was very kind to arrange our moving date. Due to coronavirus, our moving was at the time of the New York's coronavirus peak, and she kindly moved the moving date a bit, and that helped a lot. Also, I'd like to thank Carolina Burgos for her fast/helpful arrangement for all moving issues. She was super responsive and helpful on all matters, including any paper work, setting up accounts, etc. I am happy to move into the building and want to stay here as much as possible while Im staying in NYC.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“The building is beautiful and always well-kept with decorative design for every season and occasion. The staff is friendly, very helpful, and promptly responsive to every request, especially maintenance. I loved living here for the past 3 years and would highly recommend it!”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“We love living here. Perfect location for us. Beautiful apartment with amazing views. Helpful doormen. Great maintenance staff who come very quickly and respect my privacy during the day. Great delivery service.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“I've had a wonderful experience living at River East. All of the staff are professional and courteous. The building is clean and kept up to date. The apartments are spacious and modern. To have a washer and dryer is a huge plus as well! I highly suggest living in this building!”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Very well maintained building and area. Staff is responsive to any issues. Other residents are friendly, and there's a sense of community. Location (proximity to Central Park, stores, restaurants, subways) is also great.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“I have been at the River East since to 2017. I like the community and ambience of the UES. Q train definitely has changed that neighborhood. Its very easy to commute to midtown, approx 20 minutes. Central Park is 10 minutes walk from the building and east river jogging path is one block away!”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“The location is extremely convenient to the subway and airports. The staff is fantastic and friendly. If I have any issues, the staff is quick to get my issues resolved. I feel safe in the community and it is ideally located next to fantastic food.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“The staff is very friendly and tries to be helpful. Maintenance requests are always attended to very quickly, though not always a permanent fix... Facilities can also sometimes be problematic (e.g., recent leak on/near my floor which caused lots of issues). Overall, some minor gripes but no major complaints.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Have been in building for over one year on two year lease. Elevator service is atrocious, two elevators (no service/freight elevator), has consistently been shoddy at best. Unless you want to pay for concierge (desk attendant, not doorman) and elevator price for reality of walk-up, think twice. Alternative down the street with three elevators and freight is Brittany, was there prior to moving to RiverEast. Below is example of message I was greeted with this morning (12/1/18) prior to attempting to go stock up on food. Rumors has it that one of the two elevators will be completely replaced and offline for 4 - 6 weeks next month (January 2019), so be sure to enquire about that if you are doing walk through.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled given the high level of service provided to me and my family at RiverEast by Marsha Bangaru and Carolina Burgos. We have lived in the building since 2014 and upgraded our apartment once before. We currently are planning to upgrade once again to a 2-bed apartment. Both Miss Bangaru and Miss Burgos were extremely professional and patient during the process. They answered all of our questions and were very responsive in getting back to us on the details of the lease. I am looking forward to another amazing 18-months at RiverEast and am very happy that we have these two professionals managing the building. Signed, Very Happy Tenant”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“Great place to live and great, helpful staff. We have an amazing water view facing east and we get lots of sunshine. The amenities in the apartment are up to date and work great. Location is great as the Q or the 4,5,6 trains can get you wherever you need to go”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“I love the location and accessibility of the River East. However some facilities are little bit old, such as a washing machine, elevators and floor, I hope the staffs keep improving the River East. Thank you.”
— 408 E 92ND ST · Manhattan“We have loved our experience with RiverEast. The doormen/staff are incredible people who brighten my day every day. The rooftop and public areas are always kept in great condition are wonderful commodities. Wonderful place to live.”
