“Pros: Building itself is fairly clean, units are spacious, area is nice and clean, neighbors are friendly, good community Cons: Management can be difficult to get in touch with.”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Unit 2B Pros: In-unit W/D, location, dishwasher Cons: Roach & mice issues, landlord put building into foreclosure and new landlord was horrific at management Advice to landlord: Pay your mortgage”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Pros: Place is pretty modern and clean Cons: On a busy street, and going through management changes has delayed fixes and such Advice to landlord: NA”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Unit 3B Pros: clean good area no mice Cons: Low ceilings but fine Advice to landlord: Nothing just maybe better responses”
— 293 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Pros: The location and neighborhood Cons: endured rodent infestation above lower level ceiling Dealt with smell of decomposition of rats for months. Still smelled them to the end. Horrible experience with flooding of pipes bursting, Roof leaks, Hurricane flooding twice. Last straw was a break in Unresponsive Managment extremely unprofessional Incompetent super. Advice to landlord: Take responsibility for your property. Manage it as if You were actually living there.”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Pros: Relatively clean, honestly unbeatable prices Cons: No mail room so packages got stolen more than once. Entry system is not very secure. Rude management. Didn’t receive any security deposit back because “there was a pandemic” Advice to landlord: Be more responsive”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Pros: Great location all apts have nice views it’s by subway Cons: AC did not work and owner was unresponsive Advice to landlord: Please fix your communication and maintenance. This building is going to be trash in a few years if you don’t fix yourself”
— 287 MCGUINNESS BOULEVARD · Brooklyn“Pros: Building *looks* new, location is good, 3 mins away from G greenpoint, many grocery store options, young and hip yet friendly neighborhood. In unit W/D and a dishwasher The super tries his best to be helpful Cons: This building is nothing like other new developments on McGuinness blvd. It may look new but the building is always dirty, something is broken and nothing is taken care of. It is impossible to hold the landloard accountable. They will either straight up ignore your email or not provide any solutions. They are lazy, extremely hard to communicate and do not care about the tenants. I do love living here for its location but considering moving out due to the lack of managements care. No COVID19 related policies or guides ever provided. Advice to landlord: When you collect rent money from tenants, you have duties to take care of the building. Be flexible and empathetic about the current difficulties your tenants are facing”
