— 338 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 6A Pros: Very clean, no bugs, very responsive super, updated finishes in the kitchen, pet friendly to cats unofficially Cons: Only thing I didn't like is that even though the surrounding area is really nice with stuyvesant park, there would sometimes be harmless, unhoused people who would loiter on the stoop at night. Never felt unsafe, but as a woman not ideal. Advice to landlord: N/A”

— 342 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Cheap, good location. Cons: Roaches, rats, inattentive super, stolen mail”
— 332 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The rooms are quite spacious and we were able to host decent sized gatherings. Neighbors are friendly. Cons: There was a roach problem, mostly in the first month. It was mostly kept at bay by exterminator visits but we saw a couple after the first month too. The stairs and common area sometimes have food lying around and it takes a couple days to be cleaned. Old noisy appliances.”
— 342 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: High Ceilings, Spacious considering the rent Cons: Cockroaches during the summer. With pest control it got a bit better, but still saw here and there. Heater extremely loud. Interior of building is dirty”
— 342 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I liked that my apartment was renovated, the location, and that the rent was not raised for the 4 years I lived there. Cons: I didn't like that the building was a walkup, the super never picked up his phone and almost never called back, the building didn't have laundry, and my unit didn't have a dishwasher or AC. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to tenants.”
— 328 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Viking management is always on top of their stuff! They also never increased my rent. Some of the old rent controlled tenants have been there since the 70s or earlier and are cool characters… but the younger people always seem to be smoking marijuana in the building. Cons: No control of heat. Sometimes would be 40 degrees in my bedroom in the middle of the night. I would call 311 but nothing ever seems to have changed. Also sometimes the hallway smelled like people peed in it. The area has kind of gone to shit with homeless people all around. And homeless people were apparently living on our roof all summer last year. Advice to landlord: Keep not raising rent. Paint the chipped walls in the entryway. Clean the common area floors more often. Better security system maybe video would be helpful to see who people are letting in when they buzz… I think a lot of homeless people are getting buzzed in unknowingly and stealing packages or using the alley as a restroom”
