The super was quite attentive and responsive. There's laundry facilities available in the basement. We experienced a Somber incident where our bathroom ceiling suddenly collapsed and released a large amount of water into our unit. The issue stemmed from drainage complications with the Aad above us, though it was unclear if our upstairs neighbors had never reported the problem or if the super simply hadn't acted on their complaint. It's important not to cut corners when addressing water damage. In our situation, I had to contact 311 to ensure that the contractors working on the repairs would remediate all of the water-damaged materials, not just patch the sections of drywall that had been weakened by trapped moisture.

The freshly renovated apartments offer great bang for your buck. The appliances are modern and the windows let in plenty of natural light. The plumbing fixtures at the sinks work well and deliver cold, clean water that tastes great. Tenants frequently leave garbage scattered throughout the corridors, and occasionally intoxicated individuals end up sleeping on the stairwell. The front entrance and trash room locks are subpar and the keys don't function reliably. These definitely need upgrading. Periodic cockroach sightings occur. The heating system is bad, activates late into the evening, and runs only briefly. The windows allow drafts to seep through. Drainage problems persist regardless of how much drain cleaner gets used. The Super is slow to respond and frequently fails to show up when promised. Water service gets abruptly terminated without advance notification for supposed "maintenance." CONSTANT traffic noise from Broadway reverberates through the building, though admittedly that's beyond the property's control. The landlord should hire a more reliable super, schedule regular pest mgmt services, install security cameras, and replace the defective locks and keys on the main entrance and garbage area.
