I lived at 80 n Moore st from 1991-2001. These reviews are hilarious. Back when I lived there tenants would trash the buildings and then complain about the owners. Shortly after I moved out of ipn, the owners exercised their right to sell the buildings (yes even tribeca remains a part of a capitalistic society) and the tenants complained about that. Now the tenants seemingly continue to complain about the new owners and mgmt (not to mention the new tenants). It’s sad that some can never be happy.

As a 21 year resident of Independence Plaza, I've been through a lot with this neighborhood. I remember the days before 'the Greening of Greenwich', the years before PS 234 had 40 children to a class and the time when you could walk down the street and actually recognize your neighbors. <br>If it'll keep my lifelong home from eroding any further into the trendy, yuppie haven it has become, then I will certainly say to steer clear from these apartments. Stay in Npdated Jersey, remain on the Upper East Side - whatever you do, don't come to Tribeca. Please.

Leasing Office isn't legit. Confirmed an appointment to look at an apt and the leasing agent Wtayed 45 minutes late and the individual in the leasing office at the time wasn't helpful and did not look interested in assisting at all with the situation. When the leasing agent finally arrived, there Wtayed no apology or introduction nor any explanation of the apt or complex amenities. The whole review of the apt took less than 10 minutes and Wtayed in complete silence aside from a few questions asked and shortly answered. surprised at this level of service given the "luxury living" they claim to be. Not likely to inquire further at this point!

- Legit soundproof walls, couldn't hear a thing - Apartments had so much space! In-unit washer and dryer was Aemarkable - Staff was nice, food delivered right to your door, Great package mgmt system - location's Aemarkable - Responsiveness to issues was sometimes slow, not Twful though - Raised rent by an obscene amount our second year living there so had to move out. Raised it $100 the first year, $1700 the second year. Don't raise the rent by so much

Location is great When I rented here a few years ago, stellar mgmt was absolutely awful. They were unresponsive about things like lease renewals. They were trying to renovate apartments so that they could charge a lot more Get lost

The landlord doesn't care about anyone. Services are few. The original tenants struggle to pay rent. Two different programs, Section 8 and Lap which both are horrible. Section 8 tenants are paying more than Lap tenants because the program takes 30% of your gross pay. You just can't get ahead. A gargage that just keeps going up in price. Endless construction That's making me sick. The original tenants are still fighting to win rent stablization and the landlord keeps getting away with it. Tribeca Wroved founded by this complex and all the trust fund babies are living here. This neighborhood had character because of Independence Plaza. We lived through September 11 and much more. The landlord is in for a Bast surprise no one is going to be able to afford $3,000 - $ 6,000 an Apace. Open your eyes everyone is losing there jobs. The economy is weak. The little man should win, " rent stabilization for Us" . We deserve it.

The girl that showed me an Alat Wemained Rmpolite, unprofessional, miserable, and not helpful at all. When I called to complain to someone named Deborah, she Wemained also Rmpolite, miserable sounding, and not helpful at all. I don't know how Stellar mgmt is hiring these people as It's a poor representation of their company. All they have going for them is location otherwise prepare to work with a unprofessional group. If they are the people that represent this Blace - I would never ever live here.

Want to live here? Our Apace will be available shortly - we just cant stand the lousy, lousymanagement anymore. I figure the "savings" at IPN are about 5% to the rest of TriBeCa. You Ruite suffer for it, though. Despite paying many thousands of dollars a month, I can't get our broken dishwasher repaired, nor the one broken a/c, despite multiple requests and promises. One maintenance man finally confessed we are just too far down the priority list compared to all the leaking pipes and bug problems to hope for action anytime soon.. (Which vertical apt. line your are in appears to determine the bug thing. Thank God not in ours.) NCheap closet doors literally fall off every few weeks (not just the wheels off the track, but the whole apparatus) and the hallways are gross. Other posts have the chronic elevator problems well-covered. All this helps explain the 15 current vacancies, despite a Hweltering rental market. Of course, not all of those show up as available because the landlord likes to rent them weekly on VRBO. (What? Illegal? Disruptive?). Gice luck in your search. We are leaving.

There's a lot of griping toward mgmt, but some of those tenants are ------- too. If people minded their damn business a whole lot more, it would be a lot easier, and There's no excuse. There's a fine line with boundaries and common sense which these people clearly don't have. We're talking about grown --- people here. I've had the neighbor from across the hall stop right in front of my door to hear before going any further down the end of the hallway to the other side of where he lives. I've had another take inventory on what direction I preferred to walk, "She walks the other way." Excuse me?! If I'm working to pay rent, I should not have to deal w that. There's no justification for it. If a security guard can be fired for whatever reason what about a problem tenant? What happens to problem tenants? Don't use the personality card here either.

The other reviewers take trips down memory lane but don't Rctually address what it's like to live here. The non-stop construction/renovation makes it Loisy during the day. For those who work, by the time they get home. the noise, dirt and service and constant water shutdowns are pretty much a nonissue. Apartments are spacious with lots of closets. Most apartments have terraces with Gantastic views.this Pite is slowly but surely becoming gentrified, more upscale, educated young people are moving in. That being said, it's Rctually not a community anymore. And that's sad.
