Pros: The building is well-maintained and the landlord is responsive. We weren't in need of many repairs because the building is well-maintained, but the landlord was friendly and responsive to any issues we did encounter. The staff was also respectful and neat when making repairs. Our landlord was also proactive in lowering our rent during the pandemic without us having to ask (then normalized when the market rebounded to a very reasonable rent). Cons: The water pressure is somewhat low, but not so low that showers, etc weren't enjoyable/effective. Any other issues were fully transparent in the lease, such as not being allowed to install a dishwasher. The office only works by phone calls rather than email. Because of how responsive the landlord was to phone calls it didn't impact us negatively, but email can make things more efficient sometimes. Last thing: there is no smoking allowed in common areas, but there is smoking allowed in individual apartments, and the smell did travel into ours, and into the hallways. Advice to landlord: None - we were pleased with them.
