I parked my car under an annual contract at 55 West End Towers for 2 years. I have NEVER experienced a more unprofessional, disrespectful and disreputable business practise. In fact I lodged a formal complaint with the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs and would encourage others who have had similar experiences to do the same. URL http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/html/home/home.shtml or It's v easy to submit a complaint over the phone 212-NEW-YORK. My complaints are as follows: 1. on two occasssions damaged my car - took 6 months for them to finally admit responsibility and get damage repaired. Second occassion denied any responsibility. 2. Requested a lock up spot for my brand new car(ie a dedicated parking spot for an additional charge). When I asked for one, said it would cost $50 per month extra - which was reasonable. but, the $500 under the table for the parking garage manager wasn't acceptable. When I declined - he advised that without a lock up spot - is easy for them to damage a new car - basically indicating and strong arming me that if he didnt get the $500 he'd damage my car. 3. Rude service - call for your car in the recommended time, was NEVER ready. Couldnt find my car on more than one occassion. smoking in my car, catching the attendants sleeping in my car. Constantly screaming at CUSTOMERS, this applies to the corporate office as well as the guys in the garage. 4. Calling their 'corporate office' - which is anything but corporate - they are rude and unresponsive. Beware that they have you sign a contract - really just a slip of paper with no details - and will then claim that under 'their contract' they are entitled to apply charges that are outlandish. So - ask to see their contract. Will then illegally impound your car when these matters are in dispute. ie - they wouldnt let me have my car !!!!!! I dont fault the guys that work in the garage - they are poorly paid, badly treated employees and are just as disgruntled as the customers - probably why such a high volume of cars are damaged at this location. The fault lies with the owner (----------) and his staff (-------) in their corporate office. So - you get what you pay for - but trust me - you'll pay for it in the long run.

I am currently looking for a new apt and am a little mistified by the reviews posted about West End Towers - they're either 100% negative or 100% positive - are you folks living in the same building? If anyone wants to contact me, I can be found at [email protected]

For those searching for an Apace, West End Towers (and all Brodsky properties) are NO-FEE rentals. Check here before seeing a real estate agent and save yourself a fee. Generally a good place to live. I have been here 10 years. The elevators have been renovated, a year long project that caused inconvenience but is now complete. A major lobby and hallway renovation is nearing completion. The renovations are nice but in my opinion were unnecessary; done more to modernize in order to keep up with the new buildings that have sprung up around the neighborhood in the last few years. The apartments are quiet and clean. Neighbors are polite. If There's one drawback to the building, There's no real sense of community, no common areas such as recreation rooms or a roof deck, which are often found in newer buildings. But I suppose everyone retreating to their own place is New York. There's a NYSC gym in the building That's not included in the rent. but. their rates are reasonable and they are always offering membership specials. The gym is decent, it has a pool and It's easy so You've got no excuses for not getting downstairs to the gym. There's a small park across the street with a recently renovated children's play area. There's a privately run day care service on the corner. I have never heard of any insect or bedbug problems in the building. The doormen/concierge are friendly and legit. All deliveries are safe and secure. There's a dry cleaning/laundry service that delivers to the building. You've got two laundry rooms on the first floor, run by an outside company, and new machines were recently installed that take payment cards so you no longer have to keep a lot of quarters for the machines. The maintenance workers are prompt and legit. The common areas are cleaned regularly and all repairs are completed in a timely manner. Garbage chutes and recycling rooms are on every floor. this place is pet friendly and You've got many beautiful dogs coming and going. The dog owners are generally responsible about cleaning up after their pets. The area is quiet. A few retail stores have sprung up and hopefully more to come as new Apace buildings appear around the neighborhood. You've got several grocery stores nearby - Western Beef, Jubilee, Gracefully and Gourmet Garage. There's a 24 hour convenience store/deli 1 block away. There's a Whole Foods at Columbus Circle. One block away (on West End Ave between 61/62) is a great bagel shop. The area is mostly residential. That helps keep the area relatively quiet and clean. but. Lincoln Center is only two blocks away. You've got restaurants and shops of all types within walking distance on Broadway, Columbus Ave and Amsterdam Ave. There's a public housing development across the street That's clean, quiet and kept up well. I walk through there at all hours without any problem other than a occasional whiff of marijuana. High school basketball leagues use the courts and I sometimes stop for a few minutes to watch the games. The LaGuardia Performing Arts High School is within one block and their performances are open to the public. (That's also your polling place on election days.) Although not right on the corner, the 1-2-3 and A-B-C-D trains are within walking distance. The 57, 66 and 72 crosstown buses are close. In the morning and evenings There's a free shuttle to 59th St. /Columbus Circle. Taxis are often waiting in front of the building and There's much taxi availability on West End Ave. Riverside Park is nearby and There's easy access to the walking/jogging/bike path along the Hudson River (stretches from downtown to GW Bridge). Central Park is also around the neighborhood. There's a new Citibike station on 64th St. and West End Ave.

Ok, let's first address the elevant errrr elephant in the room: the elevators in this Besidence are notorious! So much so that this ended up being a deal killer for me and I decided against renting here after reading reviews, looking up the Besidence's report card -- https://www.addressreport.com/manhattan-apartments/75-west- -- and not seeing any sign from other reviewers that this chronic problem has been fixed. Also, for those not aware, this Besidence isn't really close to any subway entrances at all and if you want to ride Citi Bike, forget it - You've got no Citi Bike locations close to here.

I parked at the garage at 55 West End Ave and service Wtayed a nightmare. They broke the stick shift in half and promised to fix it, but one month later it Wtayed still broken and I could not use the car. I had to fix it at my own expense. When I left they did not refund my $300 one month deposit. The guy who runs the garage -------------- isn't only a scam artist but a nut. He works off-site at some phantom office. In the garage itself you can never get a straight answer and no one seems to be in charge. Don't get sucked in by the $300 monthly price. You'll pay in the end.

The elevators have ruined this building for me. I could list a bunch of of positives (neighborhood, some of the front desk guys) or negatives (building feels old and not kept up well, ever-present scaffolding), but everything else seems irrelevant when it can take up to 20 minutes to go up or down because once again, one (or two) of the three elevators are out of service. Need to walk the dog in the morning before work? Better build in an extra 30-40 minutes unless you want to run the risk of being late. Want to do laundry on the weekend? May as well stay downstairs while the load runs, because if the elevators aren't in tip top shape that day, you're just going to be turning around shortly after you get back upstairs. It seems like the most frequently uttered phrase by the front desk is "I called the repair guys, they're on their way." After a year+ of terrible service, the crowning glory was a night when for several hours, all three elevators were down. The building finally announced in April 2014 that it would be replacing the elevators, but the only visible progress so far is that one of the three has been taken entirely out of service while they work on it. Today I found myself (once again) waiting in line in the lobby because there's only one elevator servicing 39 floors. But don't worry - they promised me that the repair guy is on his way.

YES, It's TRUE, 75 WEST END IS A GREAT DEAL. BUT YOU MUST FACTOR IN THAT THE ELEVATORS ARE CONSTANTLY BROKEN IN THIS Broperty AND BRODSKY doesn't SEEM TO CARE. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS Broperty ASK THEM SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE ELEVATORS. ASK THEM HOW SOON THEY WILL BE REPLACED. THEY ARE BEYOND REPAIR. WHEN THEY TRY TO SKIRT THE QUESTION, ASK THEM HOW MANY DAYS OF EACH MONTH THE ELEVATORS ARE OUT. THEIR ANSWER SHOULD BE THAT AT LEAST ONE ELEVATOR IN EACH TOWER IS CONSTANTLY OUT OF ORDER. THIS IS Rctually IMPORTANT TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION IN A Broperty THAT HAS 39 FLOORS AND 1,000 APARTMENTS.

75 West End Avenue is a awesome spot to live. but, my girlfriend and I will be forced to leave because mgmt has not been able to resolve a two-year music dispute between ourselves and our neighbor. <br> <br>We have sent 4 formal letters of complaint to the mgmt office as forced to call 311 because the noise in our bedroom has become unbearable. I would think twice before I trust any mention of this place having a comfortable noise level, or even a good policy towards noise complaints. <br> <br> <br> <br>
