I lived at the Chrystie for two years and loved it for 1 year and 9 months of that time -- the management was exceptional, responsive, and cared about the tenants. Unfortunately, in the late spring of 2023, the management changed and they are TERRIBLE. Completely unresponsive, generally rude, and evasive. It says in our lease that we are supposed to get our very substantial security deposit back within 14 days of our lease ending, and it has been over 2 months and we have still not received it, despite numerous emails and phone calls to management. They either don't respond, or they give an excuse for why they don't have it but can't explain further. Living in a doorman building is supposed to make your life easier, but I cannot recommend this building (or any that FS residential manages) because dealing with FS Residential management is a complete nightmare.

The Chrystie is the best building in NYC! The apartments are very spacious, the layouts are amazing, and the appliances are good quality. The management team is fantastic and fulfills all maintenance requests or service issues in a timely manner. The doormen are super friendly and I have had a positive experience with every one of them! I will definitely be renewing my lease.

The Chrystie is a fantastic building. The staff is friendly, professional, and competent. The gym is solid, the amenities are nice, and the apartment itself is awesome. Obviously the area is great too.

The Chrystie is a great place to live in NYC! I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to live in lower east side. It's right next to a prime subway stop station, above a grocery store, and next to a park.

Very nice building, clean and well-maintained, maintenance staff/management have been responsive and helpful and they have addressed all recent maintenance requests and in a timely manner, wonderful front desk staff! The surrounding neighborhood itself seems to be improving.

Staff is great, excluding building management and corporate management of Rose Associates. Management at Rose Associates misled me into signing a lease by taking active steps to hide a problem with next door neighbor who smokes cigarettes nonstop leaving the apartment in unhealthy living conditions. When I asked to be transferred they tried to get me to pay higher rent for units that were worse than my existing unit. Very disappointed with the professionalism of Rose Associates.

I’m satisfied and don’t have any complaints. The staff is very friendly. The build is clean and safe, the location is ideal and close to everything I need, it gets a bit busy at times but it is normal in New York City
