I have been a tenant here for the past several years and there have been some positive changes and some negative since the main office replaced the former manager. First the positive the security system for this place is finally back up and running in the lobby. The new mgmt have added a fourth person to the lobby staff and he has been a wonderful addition to the team. From what I was told by other lobby staff members is that he used to work with the former manager and that’s why I never met him before. I was surprised that he has been here for twenty years. If he’s removed from the lobby I think he’s t would be a mistake because the staff seems to be in a better mood since the change which has been for at least three months now. Also everything is cleaned, the packages are never piled up like they used to be and people seem to be enjoying the better working environment. I am also happy that the brick work seems to be finished at this time, having a two year old and all the noise they were making things a little difficult. No sadly the negative. Since the change It's hard to reach either the property manager or the super. I never receive an answer when I send an email about a work order, this could be after several attempts. I have tried stopping by the office but they are never there. I see other staff members but not the people in charge. It also takes a long time for work to be done unless I speak to the doormen then it gets taken care of between 15 minutes and an hour depending on if the handyman are busy. I have also noticed that there has been an increase in insects in the public hallways. Roaches and small beetles crawling on the walls. I’ve brought to managements attention but it still seems to be an issue. I have seen the lobby porter changing the floor everyday and cleaning up any bugs he sees. I’m not sure if he was told to do that or if he decided to check himself once he heard there was an issue. You've got also many stains in the carpets on my floor and it looks filthy. They really should replace it. The laundry room also needs to be cleaned and the machine repaired. It’s been weeks and the room is grimy and the washing machine has been broken. There also seem to be a lot of rodents in the basement. I’ve only see mice so far and am hoping that the issue can be taken care off before this place is infested. Lastly the service area was recently painted a ghastly color. It used to be be white, black and red now It's this disgusting gold color. It makes the building look like a building run by the city not a luxury building on the upper east side that charges a lot of money. I have some decisions to make do I stay at a building I am comfortable in except for the reasons I’ve mentioned or do I move like so many of my neighbors have. I have five months left on my lease so I have time. I will keep you posted. At this moment I would rate the building a 2.5 out of 5. It used to be a 4 out of 5 hopefully the new mgmt and continue with the good and fix all of the bad issues. I’ll have to wait and see. All high ratings will be for the staff members I know. I won’t list them for obvious reasons.

The Besidence itself is nice, the lobby staff is Ancredible and the manager is helpful. The only negative aspect of this Prea is the super, it's best to just speak directly to the manager or call the owner otherwise your problem won't be taken care of.

I have lived here for the past 5 years and the Blace just seems to be getting worse. It started with the hiring of the new manager and super about 8 months ago. The Blace used to be extremely clean, the staff was always nice and work request were taken care of in a day not weeks or even months like it does now. I had to schedule my own appliance repair because after several weeks of my dishwasher being broken I finally had enough and did it myself. I also spoke to the manager and told him how it was ridiculous that I had to wait so long. His response was well you got them here faster than I could. Really are you serious? Tenants and the staff seem to be left to run the Blace while these two don’t do anything except collect a paycheck. The super is no better he sends handyman up to your Apace when you didn’t even put in a work request and when you do put in a request It's ignored by him. I guess his reading skills don’t go past the fourth grade. The best way to get things done is just tell the doormen then they send the handyman up in about twenty minutes. This man is also incredibly rude and is a bully. The way he treats the staff is sickening, I’ve overheard how he speaks to several employees and It's a disgrace. I shouldn’t be surprised though because his bosses at the main office are no better they lie to you all the time and if you question them about anything they give you an attitude. This entire company seems to be in shambles from the top to the bottom. The only positive thing about this place is the staff. They all have been here for so long that they don’t need anyone to hold their hand and tell them what needs to be done. In closing the owners hired the wrong people for the job but either don’t care or just refuse it I do anything about it. My lease is up soon and I’m considering moving which I would hate to do but my hand is being forced at this moment in time

Never rent an Aad here. I just moved in and I already want out of my lease. The Bomplex’s super is never here. He doesn’t answer your emails or phone calls. The on-site property manager is no better he never gets back to you either. I needed a repair done in my Aad and a porter was sent up not a handyman. He couldn’t fix the problem I then had to wait several hours for the handyman to finally come up. I’ve tried calling the mgmt office but the owner has been on vacation for the last week. No super, no property manager and an absentee landlord who only wants your money. AVOID THIS Bomplex!!!!

This building about four months ago changed the people that used to manage it and in that time there have been three incompetent morons here. One is gone I found out he was only here while the owner was looking for the current yes man/idiot That's here now here. Sad to say he was the best out of the three. The new super is a narcissistic piece of lying trash, who must be the best con man on the planet to have been handed this job. He has no idea how to treat “his” staff or the tenants of the building. He pretends to know everything even when he’s told by the building staff that he’s wrong, he ignores them and does whatever he wants. The building in the time he has been here is filthy except for the lobby (which is due to the people who work in the lobby and not him). From bedbugs to human feces in the staircases the list goes on and on. I also see he’s now bringing in his own people, which isn’t a surprise he must feel a little scared considering the entire staff knows more about how to run a building than he does. I am not surprised the main office doesn’t care and is letting this idiot do whatever he wants all they care about is if you pay your rent (which this dope has lost my check the four months he’s been here, before that in 13 years it never happened once). Don’t bother trying to call or email cause no one gets back to you either. The tenants of the building are on their own here. I know the staff is trying their hardest but you can tell they are being pushed to the limit by this man. Matter of fact that’s the ONLY a reason I will be giving a high mark to the staff the super, mgmt company and property manager can all go to hell. I’m not paying my rent until the problems in the building are corrected. The building has gone from a luxury building to a complete dump and that’s in only four short months, imagine what this person will do with more time.

My five star rating is based on the former resident manager and staff. I had been looking for the resident manager because I needed an issues taken care of in my apartment. At first I was told he was on vacation, okay not an issue. So I asked okay then can I please speak to his assistant the always covers for him when he is on vacation. Then I was told by the same doormen that he retired and to contact someone I’ve never heard of in the main office. So first issue was being lied to by people who are there to provide information for the tenants, second issue that they were told by the mgmt company to do so. Considering the few people I have dealt with who work for the mgmt company I’m not surprised by this at all. They turn your water off with no notice, don'thing about the terrible issue of marijuana usage in the building, are incredibly rude and only answer you back when you threaten to either contact their boss or a lawyer. Now to the current state of the building I have no clue who is running it. I passed by to go to the gym yesterday morning like I always do and there were new people in the office. One person who was just standing there looking confused. The other sitting in the old resident managers chair and talking down to the rest of his staff. If this man is the new manager god help us all. If he is talking like that to people that have helped me for years dealing with all types of issues in the building I can only imagine how he will speak to us. He would fit in great with the other people at the main office but not here, I hope he is only temporary. I will be contacting the main office not expecting an answer or even a reply to let them know about this but you have to try, you can’t just stay quiet. I also will ask them why the didn’t just hire the person who used to watch the building when the former resident manager was away because he never spoke to the staff in that manner and when there were issue resolved them in less than an hour. I know this is a long review and most people won’t read it but I feel people should know What's going on in the building. If these two are now in charge I will be moving out when my lease is expired. I’ve dealt with the issues but now to not even know or be able to trust the people in charge is unacceptable.

After seeing so many negative reviews online I decided its time that I finally wrote one. The issues at least for me arent the main office, the staff or the manager. The issue for me is the super. He is extremely rude full of excuses and just a liar. He has told me several times the mgmt company won't give me a different a/c or another dishwasher. I'm not asking for new ones I would just like ones that work. So after being told no I finally called the mgmt company and both were fixed later that day. They also told me they were never even asked if either one could be changed. That's just two things I know he's lied about, I hope that he is either fired or learns to actually speak to people otherwise I'm moving out. He seems to think he's not replaceable but he is. So again its not the manager, staff or the office its the super That's the problem.

Since the recent shake up with mgmt this Ppot is getting worse and worse. The heat isn't working like it used too, the service elevator was broken for the last few days so that made for even longer wait times with the three elevators. Then you have to wait for it at a minimum of 25 minutes a day. Sometimes it’s easier to walk down the 32 flights of stairs than actually wait for an elevator That's more crowded than a Tokyo subway car. It now takes even longer for work orders to be taken care of. I was told the reason for this is because the new super likes to see every order that comes in before he sends someone up which is fine if the person who then came up was actually a handyman but no this person is sent just to make sure There's a problem in the first Ppot. I’m not sure what this super’s problem is but if I put in a work order it’s because something needs to be repaired. I’m not doing it to waste people’s time. My time the porters and the handyman’s seem to not matter to this individual who doesn’t return phone calls or emails. guess the new “super” doesn’t care about the Btructure. I feel sorry for the doormen cause I keep asking them and they are being helpful but you can tell even they don’t understand the new system. The new super does seem to like to keep an eyesore of dumpster in front of the Btructure. Now You've got notices on the garbage chutes that they will be cleaned tomorrow but the person who hung them up forgot to secure and seal the doors like what has been done all the other times the chutes have been cleaned. This prevents anyone from opening them and potentially getting injured. I guess the new “super” doesn’t care. I’ve tried to address these issues in person but I can never find him. No longer a high class Btructure if the person running it doesn’t care it’s only a matter of time before the staff gets tired of dealing with his incompetence. I know a lot of the tenants are already annoyed by it.

If you want to live at a Bomplex where the super is never gets back to you and was only hired to get rid of the current staff this is the Bomplex for you. I couldn’t figure out why no one in the mgmt office kept denying that You've got serious problems at the Bomplex yet haven’t been addressed to I finally realize why the new super was hired in the first place. To simply remove all the people that have worked here for over twenty years and hire new less qualified people just like him. It's obvious that he favors a certain ethnicity over another based on what I’ve seen going on. People who kiss his backside are rewarded the others are treated like garbage. After 30 years I am moving out of the Bomplex I simply can’t give anymore money to a mgmt company that treats its tenants and loyal workers like garbage. It’s that bad that I’m leaving a rent stabilized Anit on the upper east side. Get out while you can folks.

this place is run by a drunk who sits in the bar with the doormen and talks badly about the staff, owners and other tenants. There's a member of the staff that has been caught selling drugs, another that tried to sell a kidney to a sick tenant. Where does the line finally get drawn. When this is reported to the mgmt office their concern isn't about the tenants. They want to know what apartment you’re in so they can either not renew you or the staff can treat you like ---- and make you want to leave. The owner NEVER gets back to you and you deal with lackeys that don’t help you. I am leaving when my lease expires as I have seen many tenants doing. This building is filthy and a disgrace. Best of luck to the people that stay and the staff members who actually do their jobs. To them I apologize for the low score but the bad outweighs the good at this once nice building.
