Front staff was extremely helpful, kind, and answered all of my questions during move in. Went above & beyond for a great move in and living experience here! Facilities are well maintained and maintenance is efficient and timely.

Love living here! I have been living here for 9 years now and it has been such an amazing experience. The walkability to Buffalo Bayou has been such a wonderful amenity. Location is one of the best, not in the middle of crazy traffic or busy roads and yet so close to everything!

I've always been treated very well by the staff at Jackson Hill but I wanted acknowledge two out standing individuals that have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Ally Massoud is in the management office and has always made me feel valued and appreciated as a resident. She has an amazing "can do" attitude and her follow-up has been spot on. On several occasions she has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my needs were met to my satisfaction. Luis Santamaria is a member of the maintenance crew and has also gone above and beyond the call of duty for me on several occasions. He has a genuine concern for the residence here. Just last week he showed up at my door 3 hours after he had left the property to resolve an issue I was having in my apartment. He takes a great deal of pride in work. So proud to call Jackson Hill home!

Excellent Apartments all around. If you are looking for prime location in the Houston area this is the place. Definitely give a shot and look into it. Won’t regret the decision especially with the transition to Grey Star properties. Ally was superb when came to the questions regards to this transition with the new property management. Definitely ask for her when you decide to make the move to these apartments.

The Jackson Hill Apartments has been a great place to stay, I love the location and how close it is to the Trails on the Bayou and the nightlife on Washington Ave! The maintenance staff is awesome and the management has been very helpful.

This is not a safe place to live. I lived here for 1.5 years. My truck was broken in to right in front of a camera and nothing was done about it, and then on a separate occasion, my truck was vandalized with over $1,000 worth of damage and nothing was done about it. Each time I could not get access to the footage. I don’t think the cameras work. This is more than likely a result of the gate that closes after every car being broken 90% of the time. Anyone without a clicker can come into the apartments. Just before I left I heard 9 gunshot ring out right outside the apartment. That was the last straw and was time to move. $2,000 per month for 900 square was not worth this. Look somewhere else.

The complex is great. Management is very bad. Promises aren’t kept and once the lease is signed, all attempts to help you will cease. You can’t beat the location or price but the maintenance and management is extremely maddening

Do not be fooled by all the 5 star reviews. Management has been bribing people with gift cards for 5 star reviews. Let me list out all the negative aspects of this apartment complex. I have quite a few. 1. Parking sucks - you are assigned a spot in the garage probably on the upper floors. This is incredible inconvenient if your apartment is on the other side of the complex, not connected to the garage. First you have to go down the elevator, walk across the entire complex, and then walk down more stairs if you live on the first or second floor. Not very ada friendly! I also like to point out that they keep track of the parking spaces on a sheet of paper! It's 2020! Some of the already assigned parking spots are sometimes over booked. 2. Elevator broken - in addition to the awful parking, if you park on any floor except the 3rd, be prepared to walk up and down the stairs because the elevator breaks every month. 3. Bugs everywhere (bats) - this apartment has a major bug problem. there are June bugs, cockroaches, moths, etc. constantly littered in the hall ways. see picture for one of the HUGE moths living here. The bug problem is so bad that bats have started inhabiting the hallways. 4. Poor security - cars get broken into on a monthly bases. Recently, thieves have been stealing tires and rims. This has happened twice! In the most recent time (July), management sent out an email basically stating that this complex is NOT safe. Here are some direct quotes: "As you can appreciate, no one can ensure your safety." " you must take an active role in your own security" "If you have occasion to walk around the complex at night, we urge that you refrain from walking alone." I can't even walk in the GATED complex alone at night without feeling unsafe???? 5. Titanic sinks - This complex will lure you in with fancy appliances, but they are not well installed. We upgraded to a titanic sink but they obviously did not take the time to pick out the right sinks for these apartments. The water pressure is so high and the sink is too far from the spout that it's like a water park every time you wash the dishes. 6. Loud cars - If you are considering living facing the clover traffic circle, don't. You will be woken up at odd hours of the night by people drag racing their annoyingly loud cars. 7. Front gate - The front gate only lets one car in at a time. You think this would help crime but clearly not. Also, you only get one phone number assigned to the gate so if you have roommates, you have to designate one person as the gate opener. Pretty annoying. Another flaw with this gate is that if a resident clicks the gate around the same time as the visitor is let in, the gate will close on the second car and your visitor will get their car hit by the gate and will have to redial your number again. Lose lose situation. 8. Not enough pedestrian entrances - Jackson hill markets this place as "the center of everything" but you can't even walk to the nearby HEB without walking around the entire complex. There are only a handful of pedestrian gates in this enormous complex. Prepare to walk in circles. 9. Sex in the pool - I have witnessed people naked in the pool late at night. Also, management has done an awful job controlling the crowds at the pool in the era of COVID. They have done very little to enforce their rules at the gym or the pool. 10. Packages hard to get - before COVID, packages were sent to the mailroom that are only open 8-6 pm on weekdays. If you work a normal job, good luck getting packages on the weekdays. When the office is closed, mail couriers just leave packages piled up outside the office. Uh hello! With the amount of theft in this complex, I'm pretty surprised that some of the packages are still there when the office opens. 11. Overpriced food trucks that are loud and block driveway - Management invites food trucks into the complex very often. If you live anywhere near the entrance to the garage, be prepared to be disturbed by how loud the food truck generators are. They also block the driveway. And on that subject, because the parking garage and the apartment complex is so horribly laid out, people constantly park their cars in the driveway. It's totally understandable but it gets really hard to see around them for incoming traffic. 12. Promised grill- still no grill a year later Moral of the story: DO NOT LIVE HERE.
