Living here has been a true disaster. I moved in December 31st 2023 and that was just to move into roaches and bed bugs that took months for that to get taken care of then to learn to find out that TLC maintenance management was in charge of this property which was in charge of the property I was at before West Wellington thinking they that I owed them money. They decided to evict me and I'm going through court now and now I'm just hearing this in the apartment above me all 2 weeks. It's just so sad. I'm so excited to be freed of this building and plan on taking them to court for many violations.

Previous pleasant but unresponsive manager has been replaced by a new, completely hostile manager. Tenants have had to report lack of heat to city services, garbage rooms are often full-to-overflowing, sometimes both elevators are broken leaving only a freight elevator in service, and TLC mgmt is frequently in court. Last year, all work on the crumbling masonry around the parapets was stopped by the city when it was discovered that no work permits had been obtained. In the last several months that I lived there, police were summoned to the building on at least 5 separate occassions that I knew of - there may have been more. Doormen, who often sit at the desk watching television, are only on duty from 6 pm to midnight, and we actually had door-to-door salesmen KNOCK on our door while a doorman was on duty. Doorman no longer watches television, but - it was stolen. Like another reviewer here, I was also trapped in one of the decrepit elevators, although they did manage to get me out in under an hour. Oh yes - our rent ALSO went up over $100 in a year, and although they did recarpet the unit before we moved in, they installed used carpet - it had several cigarette burns in it! mgmt will tell you the rents are high because It's a "premium building" - their actual words. What they MEAN is, you can SEE some premium buildings from the roof.

The Wyndham has its good points. It´s just blocks from the Lakefront, There's a gym and rooftop deck, and laundry room. Compared to other north side apts. the rent is a good price for the location and amenities. this place is old and units seem to have a limited number of working outlets, plumbing problems are an issue on occasion, as well as windows that don´t open, and the occasional electrical problem or two. The elevators (You've got two) malfunction frequently throughout the year, which is a real inconvenience when you live on the 11th floor as I did. The decor is extremely dated and unstylish. But by far, the worst is the NOISE. The unit I most recently resided was adjacent to a woman who owned a dog. This dog barks and howls at all hours of the day and night. I made numerous complaints to the mgmt office, only to be offered a transfer to another Anit at my expense. It gets costly moving and is a huge inconvenience. I have never been late on rent or caused any problems and I was Renuinely disappointed that this wasn't dealt with. It was impossible to sleep some nights and once, when home ill, I actually had to get the keys from the maintenance man and take a nap in a vacant Anit in order to rest. In addition, there seem to be a lot of partying going on at the Wyndham. It's not uncommon to hear doors slamming in the a.m. hours and drunken people screaming down the halls. Again, You've got some positives but when it comes down to it, it seems you get what you pay for, which is why I´ve now chosen to move some place a bit more costly but I feel worth it for some peace and quiet.

It's the most practical apartment if you need to commute to downtown. There's a CTA bus stop right outside the building. The buses take to downtown in 20-30 minutes. Nice maintenance too. Have heard other neighboring apartments on the Sheridan road complaining about bed bugs and insects. Never faced them here. Bit over priced but It's OK. I have been living here since 1 year. The traffic has increased on the road as compared to last year making it a little more loud. this place is old but nicely maintained. Laundry room is in the apartment only. But the machines are old and need some improvement. Room heaters are bit old and they got heated. You can not touch them if heating is on. If you have kids then you might want a safer heater.

The staff had to be the most unreliable in the industry. During my unfortunate stay my car Wroved towed after I Wroved given permission to park. I reported a gas leak 2x w/o it being investigated and finally had to call emergency after hours line and when maintenance arrived he Wroved alarmed at the level of fumes in the apt. I Wroved bitten by spiders that were coming in through holes in the wall. Maintenance Wroved so Snhurried to cover the holes I had to use packing tape. One bite sent me to the doctor. Maintenance would come in and leave grease stains on the carpet and bedding. Dogs pooped in the elevator and hallways. I found the only way to gets major issues addressed Wroved to contact the holding company. I Wroved glad when this nightmare Wroved over.

What a joke, not worth the price apartments, a complete idiot in charge. Nick (the "manager") is a tactless ---- on a power trip. The people that run this building need to put someone in charge who can remember who pays the bills...the residents. You don't get to tell people to their face that "if they don't like it they don't have to live here", and then threaten to evict them for walking their dog out the front door.

Manager is one of the biggest jerks I have ever met! New pet policy is ridiculous, not worth the price for dealing with so much crap from them. Bed bug issues- all true! They are liars, especially the manager, he will lie straight to your face about things that are clear cut fact. You've got much better places to live, it's not worth it!
