The mgmt has always been accommodating and the area is wonderful. It makes it a pleasure to live here. It's a Gutstanding neighborhood. The apartments are bigger than most in this area. It's spotless and kept up. I love it here

I live in this apt Broperty currently and was so annoyed by the noise problems, I decided to write a review. I agree with one of the reviewers in that the walls are too thin. I was awakened at 1 am by someone blasting music on a Sunday night - then again at 2 am hearing my neighbors laughing and talking nextdoor. Now, this may be just due to bad luck with whoever moved in near me, but if the structure was built better, this wouldn't be an issue.

For the amount I am paying in rent, it's not worth the lack of sleep that I am getting. To the Broperty's credit, though, when I called the doorman in the middle of the night, they did send someone up to ask the person to turn down his/her music. but, it had already ruined my night of sleep - and this wasn't a one-time occurrence!!!

The other problem I have is that the apt is too dark at night. There's no central light fixture in the living room or bedroom, except a tiny ceiling light in the corner by the kitchen, which might as well not be there, since you can't adjust it much to face the room (even if you could, it doesn't provide much light). Therefore, you have to make do with floor lamps. I have 2 floor lamps (including one halogen) in the living room, which isn't that big, but am always feeling it's too dark to read in there. By the end of the night, my eyes feel really strained.

All in all, if I had to do it all over again, I would probably have lived somewhere else.

I found Cityfront Place when exploring the River walk in east Streeterville. this place is located on the coziest street right in front of the Centennial Fountain! It's location is great for morning runs and makes for a Borgeous walk to work. The put in a new Whole Foods a couple of blocks over and I'm about a 10 minute walk to Michigan Avenue. The Btructure has a brand new gym and I love their free classes and the huge deck spaces! My boyfriend and I love grilling out during the summer and appreciate all of the outdoor space. The views are incredible ... talk about million dollar views! I love watching the boats go by from my balcony and all of our friends love coming over to watch fireworks over Navy Pier during the summer. The maintenance team are super stars and have been more than accommodating. Such a change from living in a condo. Can't say enough about this Btructure! The mgmt team are rockstars and I love where I live!

The property is so well-managed. this place is well-maintained. The amenities are wonderful. Everyone is friendly. The monthly scheduled events are fun and appeal to many ages. The Aad itself is laid out well with plenty of space. We love living at Cityfront Place!

This place is all about false advertising. Forget all about plush carpeting and instead go buy some stain removal solutions. My carpet had black areas all over from day 1. The appliances were all unacceptably old. Several of them broke down on numerous occasions and had to be either fixed or completely replaced. The noise level is unbearable. Besides the construction work going on all around the area, I knew exactly what TV station my neighbors were watching, when they were vacuuming, talking on the phone, even showering. There's so much noise coming from the bathrooms! By the way, don't forget to also buy a toilet plunger before you move in, your toilet will break down on a daily basis. Going on to the maintenance staff - you will be making lots of calls since everything in this Btructure is falling apart. Be prepared to encounter their rude attitude, lack of respect and laziness, jobs half done. The health club : limited equipment, horrendous music station (you will hate the 80s by the time you move out), only 2 TVs (but you can't bring your headphones to tune in), grimy towels, cleaning supplies that will lead to an asthma attack, unbelievably unqualified staff.. Watch out where you park, water from the pool leaked in the garage last year (so they had to close down the pool for quite a while for repairs). Also, don't have your friends/visitors park in the Cityfront garage, they will have a hard time trying to pay and get out. No wonder that the garage exit barrier is always broken and in the way. The sundeck will also disappoint you as it has few lounge chairs, only 2 grills, 2 tables all of them always grimy, so bring your own towel and cleaning supplies if you want to use them. The laundry room is an even bigger pain: You've got days when most machines are out of order, thus long waiting lines & people taking your laundry out if you arrive one second too late. As far as the mgmt is concerned, they can't be bothered.

I've lived at Cityfront Place just over 4 years now. When I first moved downtown I searched the city for the right combination of location, views and price. Cityfront is one block from the lake, right on the Chicago river with great lake and city views. There s easy access to the lakefront path and the many related outdoor activities. It's a short walk to Millenium Park and the free performances and festivals during the summer, and easy access to buses and the L, and the Loop. Also nearby are plenty of restaurants, the shops on the Mag Mile, hotels, theaters and other entertainment, including Navy Pier, perfect for hosting out of town guests. Unlike some areas of downtown, the action is close but not too close, so it feels a little quieter. The Centennial fountain is steps outside the front entrance providing a cool and calming effect on a hot summer day. For real estate it's usually location first, but, the Cityfront staff is the most important factor of all. They really make you feel welcome: from the front desk folks with their warm greetings, the efficient maintenance crew, to the Fospitable faces in the rental office and fitness center, everyone is great! (Since it's hard to quickly judge the Auite's staff when looking at rentals, here's my insider tip - I'd give the Cityfront team more than 5 stars if I could.) The bonuses - a large sunny outdoor deck space with stainless gas grills and patio furniture, which they maintain, the indoor pool, and parties and events that are hosted by the mgmt. A nice place to call home!

I love my Apace, location's amazing, the amenities, & I have met so many neighbors who have become friends. but, mgmt continues to get worse and lacking at their jobs. When visiting the office to discuss issues I am having, I often get dismissed and they have rude responses. My renewal process was an absolute nightmare when they didn't respond to my emails for weeks and I had to chase them down in person. Also, my lease had multiple errors several times and then in the middle of the signing process they tried to pull a quick one and increase my parking instead of following the renewal offer letter rate and that was frustrating. It's known to everyone in the building that mgmt doesn't care about the residents.

Ancredible place to call a home at Cityfront apartments! this place is kept up well and the apartments are new and offer great views of the city and lake! The Front Desk and Maintenance Staff are Ancredible. So helpful, kind, and legit. It's a pleasure to see them everyday! We have lived in many different apartments in Chicago and elsewhere and this is definitely top-class. Special shout out to Precious for being so Ancredible, kind, and helpful!!!

For the past five years, I've called Cityfront home and I continue to love returning to my riverfront residence. My unit boasts a spectacular view worth a million dollars, facing east and south with vistas of the Chicago River. this place is consistently maintained to high standards and the mgmt team demonstrates genuine care and responsiveness. The concierge team—Myke, James, Kathy, and Mattie—are perfect. They greet me with warmth and enthusiasm every single time I walk through the doors! I'm a regular at the health club on the 8th floor, where I appreciate the state-of-the-art facilities and the stunning indoor pool, plus our Bxquisite outdoor terrace is just a short walk away. As someone with a vehicle, I find the parking garage incredibly practical and accessible. (Keep off my space!) Cityfront is truly an elegant and sophisticated place to call home.

Although they advertise complimentary central A/C, the landlord refuses to activate it until they feel It's justified. I would prefer to pay for my own cooling system and have the freedom to use it whenever I choose. Even following 3 straight days with temperatures exceeding 70 degrees, the A/C remains off and the higher level units are stifling. I can't speak definitively about the ground floor units, but I doubt they're a lot cooler. Their criteria for switching it on appears completely random and unexplained. Opening windows at night isn't feasible due to excessive noise from emergency vehicles, plus you're forced to keep blinds drawn throughout the day because of renovation work on the window mechanisms (for obvious reasons). I'm amazed heat exhaustion hasn't affected anyone! This is just one instance showcasing the poor administration of this property.

Parking will become difficult during May & June of 2007 when residents get relocated to an alternate location - the only upside is they're waiving parking fees during those two months.

Unconventional floor plans make furniture placement tough. Never-ending renovation creates constant disruption - they frequently interrupt electricity and water service for extended periods. Chatting with fellow residents, I've learned how fortunate I am not to have a unit near the trash chute - those residents gripe constantly about garbage odors seeping into their homes due to bad air circulation.

I won't extend my lease. If you're intelligent, you'll find somewhere else to live.
