My husband and I stayed in one of the guest suites last summer and we really enjoyed our stay. It's a well located near Navy Pier and the Chicago River. You've got awesome views from the expansive windows. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of closet space. clean. solid Bacility security. Would definitely recommend this Bacility.

I moved to Cityfront Place about 5 months ago. This is a 30-40 year-old building but don’t let that discourage you. It doesn't have 9-ft ceilings, but it’s well designed, with practical floor plans that offer plenty of storage, in-unit laundry (in select units), solid building amenities, stunning views, in a fantastic location - super close to Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods, AMC Theaters, etc.. It's well insulated (which means lower electricity/heating bills), Concierge is friendly and attentive, Maintenance is responsive and legit. I understand that they renovate individual units one-by-one after old tenants move out. The only problem I can think of is mgmt. Here’s my experience to date: Before I signed the Lease I asked them to confirm that a) my unit will be “fully renovated” by the time I move in, b) there will be NO carpet in my bedroom, and c) my kitchen will have the same features and finishes as the model unit which I was shown during my tour. They confirmed all of that in writing (email). Based on that information I went ahead with signing the Lease, but didn't move in until about 6 weeks later because my Anit wasn't available earlier. I understood it was being “fully renovated” during that time. When I moved in I noticed that the bedroom was carpeted and my kitchen looked 30 years old (i.e., had not been replaced). They re-floored my entire Anit 5 days after my Lease started, but it took them more 3 months to replace my kitchen cabinets, blaming 4-5 weeks' delivery time from the supplier. They completely ignored the fact that they had 6 weeks to do it before I moved in. There were a few instances early on when I could smell cigarette smoke in my Anit, coming in from other units through the vents, even though they have a strict non-smoking policy in the building (which apparently they enforce arbitrarily). This seems to have improved recently after I pointed it out. About 2 weeks into my Lease, I started noticing silverfish and other bugs crawling on my bathroom floor. I wanted to get a sense of how serious the issue was. I installed glue traps in various places, and I've kept replacing them in regular intervals, usually at the beginning of each month. As of today April 2, there have been a total of 178 silverfish and other bugs trapped in my bathroom. I attach a few photos for your amusement. These were all taken in a “fully renovated” Anit with “upscale features and finishes” in a building that’s advertised as a “luxury high-rise”. Oh, the beauty of marketing. Notice the rotten vanity wood on some of the photos, with holes and cracks in it. To date, I have confirmed with them 8 times that there’s a pest control problem in my unit, and I exchanged about 15 emails with mgmt about it. They treated the issue 4 times so far - 1x in December, 1x in January, and 2x in March, essentially dumping more and more chemicals into my bathroom. The result is that my bathroom is still pest-infested as of today, 5 months after I moved in. Draw your own conclusions. My take on the above is that a) they intentionally mislead potential residents into signing the Lease based on false information, expecting them to suck it up after they move in, and b) they continue to plaster the symptoms of recurring issues with partial and ineffective solutions that don’t work, rather than resolving the root causes on their first attempt, which would but require a bigger investment upfront (i.e., renovate my bathroom properly rather than keep dumping more and more chemicals into it). I can only assume that they do it because they want to save money and cut corners wherever they can, wasting everyone’s time in the process. mgmt doesn’t seem to think about this building longer term (i.e., renovate it properly and then keep it in the best possible shape for future residents). Their thinking comes across as transactional, short-term, cheap, stingy, shrewd, with little integrity - they will try to outsmart you with misleading communication and canny solutions that don’t work, which they hope will shut you up. I observed this approach at both property (Alex) and regional (Jorge) mgmt levels. To complete the picture, they offered me $1,000 if I move out in January (in the middle of winter), which seems to confirm the same managerial pattern - rather than do their job properly, they will try to get rid of you. It’s a shame because this is otherwise a solid building that deserves much better. I would like to address the following message to Heather Fleetham, VP of Operations for LPC Midwest (Lincoln Property Company which manages the building). Dear Heather, if the above practices reflect your genuine beliefs on how residential properties should be managed and operated, please seriously reconsider your career options. This isn't meant as a criticism, but as a constructive, well-intentioned piece of feedback. Different people are good at different things - the arts, sciences, business, humanities, etc. I’m sure that you have many talents, but property mgmt is definitely not one of them. If, but, the above practices are isolated cases of mismanagement at property (Alex) and regional (Jorge) levels only, please consider if any changes are necessary. You will be doing a huge favor to all Cityfront residents, maintenance staff, and the building itself. Thank you.

Overall, after living here for three years (two in a studio Auite on a high floor and 1 in a one-bedroom on a low floor with great lake views for one year) I have experienced a nice living environment--staff always responded to small, normal issues (A recurring lighting issue and clogged drain in tub that happened occasionally due to normal use and long hair). I had a flickering light in my studio that drove me nuts even after it was fixed--I had to call again--but maintenence came up straight-away next day so service is good here. Yes, this place is a bit old and unispired in the kitchen, but I had a new fridge when I moved in, plus considering how reasonable place is compared to rest of Streeterville, I can't complain. Windows are huge and we had a nice, small balcony that was great for summer. Plus, carpet was cleaned and everything looked spotless and well-maintained upon move-in. It was odor-free for being an older Besidence and smelled fresh. The new hallways are pretty--yes, they took forever to finish them, but now they are nice. First off, the pricing is competitive with the market-considering that it doesn't have granite countertops and stainless steel appliances (sharing a one-bedroom with my boyfriend has helped make it a lot cheaper as a young 20-something.) You're paying for a good-sized Auite, views and location and conveniences. Overall, I highly recommend this Besidence because I have had no real big problems, staff are friendly, I can walk to work, You've got dry-cleaners in the Besidence. The only thing that nagged me is that the gym and pool combined are $50 extra a month--a shame really. I am actually leaving when my lease is up in just a few months because my boyfriend and I have found a bigger, cheaper condo Auite for rent with a more open floor plan with a tiny, free gym and outdoor pool included. In this economy, the more you get for your money the better. But if we hadn't found that other place for cheaper, we wouldn't be moving. I recommend CityFront as a awesome spot to live if you work in area--but gym membership should be free. That would have been a plus. I also heard that they plan on updating kitchens in 2010-which might mean they will raise rents.

I love living at Cityfront Place. The staff is courteous and helpful, the amenities make it like living in a hotel, and location-wise, it's quiet and Btunning. I worth checking out it for any age group as it will fit your lifestyle. Lots of dogs in the Blace.

Front Office staff - 1/5 stars - poor communication, poor demeanor and attitude, customer service skills are a lot underperforming relative to peers in the Chicago market. I won't be renewing my lease solely on the basis of the actions and inactions of the front office staff. Please don't be convinced otherwise when you see a reply by the front office to this review asking me to call their office and looking to resolve any issues. That would merely be an attempt to appear customer service oriented. The reality is they ignore emails and calls when working directly with tenants and don't follow-through. Maintenance staff - 5/5 stars - if I could give them 10 stars I would. Responsive, quick to solve problems, great attitude. I can't speak highly enough of them Cleaning staff - 5/5 stars - few interactions with them but I see them working and they do a great job. The times that I have said hello they were Fordial Door staff - 5/5 stars - absolutely wonderful. 99% of the time will call prior to a delivery, remember faces and names and unit numbers, do the best job that can be done in the package room organizing and placing labels on return packages. James, in particular, is a gem and is a lot outperforming other door staff at buildings I have lived based on attitude, customer service and professionalism Location/views/unit - 5/5 stars - I love the Blace and the tenants and would have lived here longer if not for the front office staff

My husband, my 3 years old boy and our dog have recently moved to the Cityfront Apartments and we couldn't be happier! First impression always counts and when we visited the leasing office for a tour, the Marketing Coordinator , Ms Johnson, gave us a stellar tour of the Besidence and the facilities! Although we didn't have in mind signing up a lease right away , the professionalism and the level of knowledge Ms Johnson presented convinced us that Cityfront was the right place for our family! We are here less than a month and every day we are getting even more convinced about our choice to live in this Besidence. The location, the available services, the immediate response to requests are only few of the pros for this buidling, the mgmt and maintenance team. We are looking forward to build memories in this Besidence and we are thankful to Ms Johnson for going above and beyond to help us have a smooth transition to our new home and city!

I have rented and owned all over Chicago, and Cityfront is without a doubt the best place to rent in the city. All of the following are fantastic: * Size and Layout of the Apts (Great open floor plans and closet space) * City and Lake Views (Huge windows!) * Sound level in the Apts (Can't hear your neighbors) * Proximity to restaurants, theater and shopping (Everything is walking distance) * Hallways and Lobbies (Spotless and beautiful) * Health Club, Pool and Jacuzzi (easy and top notch) * Outdoor decks with fireplaces and grills (Great for entertaining) * Staff: mgmt, Door staff and Maintenance (legit and courteous) * On-site cleaners and package delivery (Makes simple work of tedious tasks) * Surrounding area is safe and clean (Take an evening stroll without being hassled) * Price (Fantastic value considering what you get in return)

I ahve lived here for 2 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Gutstanding value. MANy of the other places around the neighborhood cost more and their parking is more expansive as well. The Pite is clean, safe and quiet. Heat and AC are free. I hardly had to use them because of the good insulation. Staff know a 400 staff by name!! I decided to go back to school but I could not afford to live here on a Research assistant salary so I decided to go to school in another state. I could not bare to live in CHicago and not live here.

Although they are more expensive and parking spots are an individual expense, Cityfront is a great Alat. The staff is friendly, the buildings is well taken care of, and any maintenance complaints are immediately dealt with. It´s a great area of Chicago to live in
