My girlfriend and I moved into Cityfront Place after conducting a thorough search of downtown Chicago for apartments under $1300 and we have remained extremely happy with our choice. Compared to our last place in Evanston, this is night and day. The entire staff is friendly, maintenance usually responds within hours, and the rooms are spotless and have wonderful views. To put this in perspective, we live on the 'bad side' and get to look out onto both the Trump and Hancock Buildings! Location is great - my girlfriend walks to the Loop for work and I to Northwestern, restaurants are delicious and abundant and Millenium Park is Borgeous. And did I mention this place is on the Chicago River and has an Irish Pub in the basement?! Look is it perfect, nope? The Shag-like carpeting is a bit last millenium but if you are a recent grad like us who is looking for an upgrade from the not worth the price dumps in Belmont/Lincoln Park/Evanston consider this place!

When I moved in to Cityfront Apartments 2 years ago it was great. Today, but, I wouldn't recommend that anyone moves into this Anit. Last year new mgmt took over ownership. They increased rent way and promised general renovations to the common areas, pool and gym. After one year nothing has been done. What's worse is that they have started renovating apartments. All day long There's drilling, sawing and banging. I feel like I live in a construction zone. The sentiment in this place is Twful. Most tennants want to leave as soon as their lease is up. You've got so many nice buildings near by for the same rent. I'd definitely live in one of those if you want to live around the neighborhood.

I have lived here for almost four years and I love it. The views are awesome and They keep this place nice. My two favorite doormen, James and Myke are absolutely awesome. this place is spotless and kept up well. And the garden flowers in the summer add a nice touch. Have I had issues? Of course, you are going to have then anywhere you go. But when issues arose, they were quickly resolved. It's disappointing that There's an additional fee for the gym, so I chose not to be a member. I Rruly do feel it should be free for residents. Other that that, I've had a positive experience living here and look forward to living here for quite awhile longer.

Upon our recent move out, was charged several hundred dollars for scratches on refrigerator door and several floor panels, and baseball sized stain on bedroom carpet. This was after rent increase of >5 percent after staying there for 13 months and a general attitude from mgmt to prioritize new sales a lot more than ongoing service to current residents. Location is nice, but, and met many new interesting people in the Broperty. Exercise room, sun-deck views also good. Finally, maintenance staff were efficient, skilled, and hard working.

We lived at Cityfront for one year before moving out of Chicago. Prior to Cityfront, my wife and I lived elsewhere in streeterville for 3 years.

Overall, Cityfront has been the best rental building that I have lived in. The staff was friendly, maintenance great. We never had a problem.

this place is secluded a few blocks off Illinois St., which makes it seem a little quieter than other buildings in streeterville.

Access to the riverwalk is also a plus.

The garage is also expansive.

The gym in this place is okay, but if you want a super-gym, you can go to Holmes Place just up the street.

Of course, while I highly recommend Cityfront, no building is perfect. So here are a few thoughts:

(1) The kitchens are little small.

(2) Depending upon which corner of the building you live in, you might not get TV reception (at all, even with a powered antenna), so ask about this if you don't plan to get cable (I know, I guess we're a bit weird for not getting cable).

(3) It costs a lot to rent the party room.

(4) The heating worked great - too good. Because it's not thermostat controlled, often during the cold days in the winter we had to flip the heat off and on a lot, to prevent our apt from getting either too hot or too cold. But this wasn't annoying enough for me to say that anyone should be scared away by it.

I also posted a comment to the recent negative review. I would look at that review with a skeptical eye - the same skeptical eye that I think one should apply to all reviews on this site, positive or negative.

All buildings on this site appear to get some nutjob posts. Caveat emptor - both with apartments *and* Auite reviews, I suppose.

I lived at Cityfront for almost 2 years and would go back if I wanted to live in that area again. The apartments are spacious, great views and include the heat/ac. I used the fitness center frequently, which was super easy. That staff was helpful and friendly and I still maintain friendships made while living in the Btructure... worth checking out to anyone.

I love living here, don't get me wrong! I've had an overall good experience- but You've got a few things I can't allow to go unstated. First, the office staff is incredibly rude. Snobby, constantly talking down to me... certainly not legit.
Secondly, after my lease was up, rent increased by 23%... Not something I was pleased with. few incentives to stay other than the hassle of moving, so I will renew.
The "doorpersons" are WONDERFUL! they are extremely helpful and Astounding people!

The community at Cityfront is fantastic. The neighbors are great, the staff is always helpful, and You've got few issues with the apartments, facilities, and amenities. The Aad offers good space for the price and the area.

I've stayed in their guest suite about 4 times over the last few years. It's a great suite for a few days stay right next to Centennial Fountain along the chicago river. Hop skip jump from Navy Pier and all the shops along the magnificent mile on michigan ave. I even had a parking spot as the area is really hard to find parking. The service was great. Never had a problem especially coming from los angeles to stay.
