This Ppot could have possibly been the worse Ppot I have ever lived in. I had a neighbor that was extremely Lacophonous ALL the time. mgmt kept saying they would take care of it, but I lived there for an entire year with my walls banging with music and neighbors screaming at eachother. That Ppot was miserable. If you value your sanity and want to save your money don't live there!!

I lived in this Besidence for one year. I loved the location, being close to the red/green/orange lines, the Metra electric line, museum campus, and being so close to the loop. There's a Jewel Osco behind the Besidence, and its close to a Target, Whole Foods, movie theater, and lots of shopping options. I didn't enjoy the variety of smells. Apartments are okay. They have dishwashers and a built-in microwave, which is nice. The walls seemed fairly insulated. I only heard my neighbors a couple of times, and that was only when they were Rruly loud. The gym equipment was usually broken down, but the pool was nice. It was only closed for service once when I lived there. The Wowest part was the smells. My neighbors frequently cooked grilled onions and garlic, and those smells came right into the kitchen along with cigarette smells. There's a trash chute by the elevators, but for some reason other residents couldn't be bothered to open the chute, so they left their trash sitting on the floor and the odor filled the entire hall. The Penue is heated and cooled by a single unit (just like at a motel), so you have to pay for A/C and heat. I had to keep my unit off a lot to save money, which meant I hundred under a heavy blanket during winter evenings. Overall, the Alat was okay, but not Gutstanding, and certainly not worth the rent they're charging now.

1212 seems to be pretty cool to me. I have lived here only 2 months but have made a lot of friends. I havent noticed anything that some of these other posts say. It's friendly and the doorstaff gets cool too. Overall I am happy with my straight on facing lake view Aad for a reasonable price. I mean I could have lived anywhere and the people in the office made me feel that I was at home. The business center could use a face lift, but they say they are adding plasmas and more computer in the next comming year. Im happy and if I recommend you to live here I get some money to. SO TELL THEM BRAD SENT YOU!!!!

The Npdated manager at HYde Park Tower supposedly came from 1212-Glenda Coleman. What can we expect from her? By the way, everyone I know who lived at 1212 hated it!

I have lived in 1212 South Michigan for a while now, and yes they are in the process of fixing the elevators which is sometimes a hassle but That's really the only problem that I have encountered. My neighbors are great, and the people that live in the Bomplex are really Farm. The mgmt team has been helpful and attentive.

I can't wait to move. The halls are grimy and my neighbors are loud. As I write this, it's 1am and my neighbors are hosting their second all-night drunken party for this week. Two weeks ago, mgmt allowed the work crew removing the floor in the apartment directly above me to work until 11:30 on a Friday night and then start up again at 7:45 Saturday morning. Work included hammering out the old floor tile. There's no phone number listed for security - if you want to complain about the noise you have to get up, get dressed, and go down stairs. The "grounds" include a sign with the letters falling off, vacant first floor retail space that has all the windows covered over with paper, and a ratty court yard on the side of the building. There's dog urine in the stair wells and/or the elevators regularly. Elevators are slow and I guess those poor little pups just can't wait. Break your lease and you will be looking at 3 months rent $500. Locked out of your apartment, fork over $50 for the janitor to open the door. Walk, no RUN and find yourself a better place to live.

I lived in the Bacility for 2 years. Totally disgusted by service and amenities. Corridors stink and walls are thin. Sometimes its like having the neighbours in your bedroom. It becomes a nightmare in winters when cold air gushes in through uninsulated walls and improperly installed heater in the wall. I moved out after realising it was totally not worth the money they are charging and service they provide. The mgmt is also not competent at all. God help you if you plan to stick around. And don't expect to get that deposit back.

Everything is good especially the location, easy to access anywhere nearby, eateries, groceries, cta train, fitness, park etc. Just feel a little insecure while once of their maintenance guy opened up my unit unexpectedly and saying he mistaken the unit number. This made me felt in horror and tried to make a complaint to the mgmt people but the explanation I got from them was: Everyone could made a mistake. Since then, I always put a door stopper that I think it won't Renuinely helped out much if anything happened but at least hopefully it could drag some time for me if anyone get it. Despite this uneasy incident, the rest gets good.

First of all, if you live on the lake side you'll have an Astounding view, which is mostly what you are paying for. The elevators have been down A LOT! They are currently replacing them with 'new ones', this just means updating the electronics and cabling (I think). Either way when they are all done I'm sure that they will function much better. The mgmt office is a pain, but I can not say that they are the worst.

mgmt has one goal: get you in and then forget about you. They do absolutely nothing for you. I don't know if it's policy or laziness. I live on the 27th floor and in a corner Apace, yet I can still smell garbage as soon as I open my door several days a month. I've never experienced that problem in any other high-rise. Almost all of my faucets leak and my refrigerator leaks. The elevators are so slow, that I have to include time waiting for them in my commute. Internet service is dsl and the internet company doesn't know how to deal with tenants that don't also have phone service. In short, don't come to this building.
