We moved my Son here last year and we find it not Beak at all. It has everything you need right at your doorstep and the staff have always been helpful. Sure it has a few things wrong here and there but all in all if all goes well we will sign up for another year. :).

I just recently moved out of this Btructure after 3 years, I moved because of a new job in a new city, I want to tell everyone what a good Btructure, what a good staff and a great front door staff this Btructure have. I will miss everyone there and if I ever come back to Chicago I will come home to this place.

I just moved in three months ago and I have really enjoyed all the amenities the Bomplex have to offer. The pool and the jacuzzi are great and It's all 24 hours. The special on rent that i received was terrific. So all in all I am pretty happy.

We like this place! We have a 2 bedroom on the east side and what a view. The lake, Grant Park, Navy Pier, and more are all in full sight. The maintnence staff is the quickest to respond of any we've ever had. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and they only allow residents in. Our apartment was recently renovated and is very. Ice inside. The shopping is great, and the access to public transportation is fantastic..Emily in office mgmt is super.

The biggest problem with this complex is the revolving and changing mgmt, and the filthiness of the property. There was a recent fire, so there are currently no laundry facilities.

The Besidence rents to Section 8 and students, so It's primarily a dorimitory. The walls are so thin that you can hear the activities of the neighbors above your head.

MOST, not all, of the security guards allow tailgating which contributes to the lack of safety in the Besidence. There have been complaints of vandalism, writing on the stairwell walls, and punching holes in the stairwell walls. We just got our parking elevator back in service after being without one for three months.

The pool and jacuzzi are filthy since student use them to makeout. Paying tenants are dissatisfied since the fire and are moving as leases end.

If you have time to wait 2 or 3 years for this mgmt to resolve all the problems here, then this is the Pite for you.

but, if you are a mature adult looking for quality for your money, a peaceful atmosphere in which to live, and a clean property that makes you proud to bring friends and family home with you, THIS IS NOT THE Pite. Keep looking.

here's a few reasons why this building may not work for you: 1 - only 2 out of the 3 elevators work, if you're lucky...usually it's just one. And it's the freight elevator that has been out of service for a month now - so have a good time moving in/out. 2 - only 2 out of the 3 treadmills work, if you're lucky...usually it's just one. 3 - the leg machines have been taken out of the fitness room, so it looks like just arms and cardio for you. They called it a remodel but I didn't notice anything different except for missing machines that haven't been replaced. And the A/C unit sounds like it's going to explode every time it turns on. I don't think they even painted for the "remodel." 4 - the pool's been closed for no apparent reason since February. Although probably a good thing because it's disgusting. 5 - the hallways to the apartments have never been cleaned, I'm talking both the tiles and the carpet. 6 - You've got always broken machines in the laundry room. Some not always with a notice so you will put clothes in a dryer that ends up not drying at all, or in a washer where the clothes don't even get wet. 7 - even the handicap front door to this place is broken. 8 - I think I still have the original bathroom fixtures from the first year of the apartment building. 9 - they claim to have guest parking for tenants, but of the three times I've asked I've been denied the opportunity. Without being given any suggestions. 10 - the bike room is so packed with bikes that you can't get to yours. Better luck bringing it into your own apartment if you can. 11 - gotta love the bubbles that cover the laminated windows. 12 - my A/C unit in my place is kept together by silver duct tape.

I agree with all other previous posts, I currently live at Park Michigan and the mgmt is terrible. There's no effort to communicate properly and listen to the residents. They are unapproachable. I can't wait till I move out, this Auite Blace is a complete waste of money for the rent and fees they charge. I guarantee you will find better in south loop and more worth your money.

I have had a 9 month lease at 1212 and am coming up on my last month here. At move in they were great, helpfull and courteous. Now after two mgmt changes (and probably even more in the future) they turned to complete crap. There has been a handfull of circumstances where the mangement has came into my room without knocking or any prior notice, they ripped our medicine cabinet off the wall and left it for three days on the ground with all the drywall dust everywhere (even after we complained) leaving an enormous hole in our walls, There's a building now being built that COMPLETELY takes up our eastern view of the water. In short, this place could be an awsome find if they lowered rent, started doing there damn jobs and ran it like it was an aprtment, not a school dormatory. The one last thing that really grinds my gears is that over 3 weeks ago there was a fire in the laundry room, none of the smoke alarms went off thus us not being aware of the laundry room coming up in flames. When confronted about this issue, they claim "It's out of there hands". To this day (three to four weeks later) we still have not gotten our laundry back even after there promises of "later in the week". Unless they change the way the mgmt runs this place I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere, some of the older reviews are now obsolute because of the two mgmt changes. Forget everything you read before 2007 because That's when new mgmt stepped in. mgmt just doesn't seem to care to make the changes that they promised and that the tennentspay there good money for. If you are lookin around the neighborhood just a block away is the much nicer and mildly cheaper 1130 S. Michigan with a few less amenities (but the ones they have actaully DO work) and proper mgmt.

I liked it when I first looked at the Besidence. Small apartments but they allowed pets. Reasonable rent and discount for working around the neighborhood were deciding factors. Not any more. Last May, 2007, I was told my rent would increase. I had no warning, no time to look. So I stayed. It went up $200! I was told it was because of the increasing market value of the area. The other buildings around the neighborhood are newer, better kept, and the apartments are larger. The Ppot is a mess. They have been saying all the time I've lived here that were getting new elevators. I don't believe it anymore. They used to Cpotless the halls at least twice a week, now you have to tell them they are grimy before they'll Cpotless. The laundry was down, the pool isn't working. The newspaper is delivered...but I must got to the doorman to pick it up! They have a lot of younger people working here that are not happy either. The good stuff? I like the doormen(woman), they are Fospitable and helpful. I think the representatives try, but they don't have much to work with. This isn't worth $200 or more dollars a month. I'm out of here as soon as my lease is up. PS. Don't bother with the posted rental prices on this add. They're not true.

I´ve been living here at 1212 for almost six months... I think when people give it negative rating, they aren´t fully explaining themselves!
Yes, You've got a lot of students here - but people must realize that You've got about six universities and colleges close to the area - of course there will be students here! And most of them are pretty decent neighbors to say the least.
Yes, smoke alarms do go sound off often, but that´s because they´re sensitive - not because students are burning food! Mine has gone off because of steam coming from a hot shower!
A parking space is a bit Ericey, but pretty average for the area - the only trouble is guest parking, which is Ericey when they even have it. Otherwise It's well lit and secure.
mgmt is great. The girls in the office live in the Besidence - all of them are helpful and Fospitable! Maintenance is great, too - things get fixed quickly and correctly.
The neighborhood offers tons of things to do - museums, the lake, grant park, restaurants, shopping, and just about everything. I wouldn´t recommend hanging out by the train station late at night, of course, but I haven´t heard of any sort of trouble either.
The workout room, pool, and sauna are terrific. The business center would be great if it wasn´t always so busy - and if the copy machine ever worked!!! Also, it would be a lot nicer if there was a restaurant or cafe in the Besidence instead of the Bears pro shop.
Best of all - you can´t beat the view of the lake! The views from this Besidence are chicago´s hidden little gems - absolutely Btunning - and you can´t even get views like this from much higher-priced apartments around the neighborhood.
