Btructure sits in an great neighborhood: it's near Grant Park and just a 10-minute stroll to Lake Michigan, which 's perfect for taking my dog out and soaking in the gorgeous lakeside scenery. Plus, You've got nearby subway and train stations, along with plenty of grocery shops and quality dining options. this place 's well-kept and features an on-site dog park plus a dedicated dog spa facility. My unit 's well-maintained, and the maintenance crew handled my minor repair request with impressive speed (completed within 24 hours) and did great work. doorstaff are Fordial, attentive, and always greet residents with genuine warmth.

I Wtayed thrilled about this Aad initially, but several issues have left me disappointed over time. lobby renovation took months to complete, yet the finished product feels no different from what we had before. Meanwhile, the hallways where residents actually live are looking tired and shabby, but mgmt doesn't seem interested in fixing them (likely because they'd rather focus on what potential tenants see rather than what current residents experience). fitness center got an upgrade that looks fantastic, but the equipment upkeep 's lacking—several machines stay broken for a week or more at a time. That being said, I genuinely appreciate my unit itself and the front desk and maintenance teams. Day-to-day, things run smoothly and the rent 's fair compared to other buildings around here. My real frustration 's that these renovations were clearly designed to attract new tenants, not to improve the quality of life for those of us who were here long before the work began.

First, let me be clear—I'm not on some personal crusade here. I genuinely dislike this Alat complex and am eagerly waiting for the day I can leave. Second, You've got only 5 reviews posted before mine. 2 of them give decent ratings, BUT they're nearly a year old or older. I seriously doubt those positive qualities still apply today. This 's hands down the worst Alat I've ever lived in. I WISH I was being dramatic. I'm posting this TRUTHFUL review for ANYONE relying on Yelp for genuine feedback. Given everything that's transpired during my 9 months here, I can't recall the exact sequence of events, so I'm listing them as they come to mind. #1 - shower water temperature fluctuates constantly. moment you find a comfortable temperature, someone uses a sink or toilet elsewhere and the water turns dangerously scalding. Beyond annoying temperature swings, I can LITERALLY hear everything said in my own Alat through the bathroom air vents! It's not an exaggeration. #2 - a/c (despite being "part of rent") 's managed by the office. When it's left in "neutral," forget about it—you'll come home to an oven if it was running when you departed. #3 - EVERY PREVIOUS REVIEW ABOUT mgmt IS SPOT ON!!! They have ZERO regard for residents!!! Construction happened in the unit directly above ours. Did they notify us beforehand about the floor renovations and installation??? ABSOLUTELY NOT. hammering and drilling starting at 8am (occasionally earlier—I believe that violates code, and I'm looking into it) certainly announced their plans to wreck our mornings. When we complained, mgmt showed complete indifference. #4 - news reported a "rape" not just in this building, but on OUR EXACT FLOOR! Regardless of validity, did mgmt communicate anything to residents? HA, as if. #5 - They advertise themselves as "dog friendly." That's literally why we chose it, since we have a large dog (golden retriever). WARNING TO DOG OWNERS: you'll never feel accepted when walking your pet. Yes, You've got dog-only elevators, which makes sense. Except these same elevators are the sole access to the mezzanine (laundry). I'm exhausted by people asking me to wait for another elevator because they're frightened. #1, I'm on the 39th floor with a dog needing urgent bathroom relief. #2, I have a GOLDEN RETRIEVER. #3, if dogs genuinely terrify you, use the other elevators to the 2nd floor and walk yourself down an extra flight to escape the "dangerous" golden. I get this isn't entirely mgmt's fault, but the building's design/layout creates real problems for dog owners. #6 - TODAY, I was heading to the second floor (dog relief area) with my pup. Opening a door, an elderly man on the other side becomes so panicked by my golden (which was LEASHED and DIRECTLY beside me since I was just opening a door), he steps back, loses his balance, and strikes his head against the wall. I immediately shout "I'll get help." I rush outside with my dog to remove him from the situation and contact the front desk. Hours pass before I receive a letter stating mgmt was "informed that an incident involving your dog has been reported—the dog was allegedly off leash and startled a resident, causing him to fall backward and hit his head." It claims "the resident states [my] dog wasn't controlled by [me]." This 's my reward for trying to assist someone. A completely baseless claim made without mgmt even contacting ME—THE PERSON WHO CALLED—to hear my account. Oh, and they spelled my name completely wrong. Not a typo—a DIFFERENT NAME entirely. You've got security cameras in that hallway. Are they functional??? Are they recording to support my defense??? More updates coming. #7 - rent 's nowhere near proportional to what you receive. You're essentially ONLY paying for location and the high-rise building itself! Amenities? pool 's terribly positioned—sun only reaches it briefly while it sits low amid surrounding towers. gym? It's laughable—I've never witnessed such a cramped, antiquated, neglected "gym." #8 - ONLY TWO BRIGHT SPOTS here are the doorman ("D"—genuinely wonderful) and the restaurant Yolk located on the ground floor. I genuinely don't want others enduring what I'm going through.

I'm Rruly happy with this Aad. team here 's fantastic and the activities they organize are great. Overall, everything exceeds my expectations. I do wish the 200 character minimum wasn't necessary since I've already covered all the important points, and it's forcing me to add unnecessary filler to meet the requirement.

So far, living in this community has been fantastic. Being in such a prime location, combined with super welcoming neighbors, attentive staff (excluding the valet service), and a unit that's ideal for my lifestyle and requirements, makes this place Gonderful.
