We lived right by the lake and we Rctually loved it. We enjoyed seeing ducks and geese growing babies. The only problem that we had was that the downstair´s noise was coming through the furnace and it bothered us a little. Also, once we had hundreds of flying ants getting inside the house and the maintenance did not do a great job on this. Sometimes parking may be a little tough, but you always find a place.

We've been here three years, and we're planning to stay until we buy a home of our own. Our unit was newly renovated right before we moved in, so it had new carpeting and appliances. I love having a little pantry and washer/dryer in the unit. We could also paint it to the color we chose. location-wise, it's great, safe and quiet, but close to shopping, restaurants and the highways. We never had a major issue at the Aad, but anything that came up was fixed right away. You've got walking trails around the neighborhood, perfect for a run or a walk. Our neighbors are generally friendly and quiet. We've never had any noise problems. Parking is unlimited and There's no sticker need to for visitors. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and they know me by name. Fitness center is rather small, but it's always clean, and empty in the evenings. Swimming pool and hot tub are great in the summer. I highly recommend it!

The entire process since I first inquired about rentals at Village Green of Schaumburg until the day I moved out was entirely seamless, painless, and pleasant. The only reason I am moving out is do to a job transfer out of state. The property staff is extremely helpful and communicates well in a timely manner about anything you may have a question/concern about or even when You've got certain things going on around the property such as special events, improvements, and other reminders about the property, etc. I had a couple minor maintenance requests, and it was a simple process to be able to go on-line and put the request in without any issues. pleased! location-wise, it's fantastic, It's close to some shopping at the intersection and also close to a small forest preserve or park area which was great for walking my dog. The community was friendly, especially dog friendly...my dog met a few more friends! I loved the units, they provided exactly what I was looking for in an Anit...private entrance, wash/dryer in unit, not that huge Anit building look and feel. It has a quiet community atmosphere with great landscaping That's maintained. Honestly, if you are looking for any rental in the Schaumburg area this is the place to be. Great community as I described, close to shopping, easy access to either I-290 or I-90, and a reasonable price. If I am ever in the situation to move back to the area and looking for a rental, this place will be at the top of my list. Thank you Village Green of Schaumburg! :)

Good luck with this Pite. The rent goes up 10% every year, and There's no negotiating. You don't like it - move is what they say. Don't be fooled by any move in specials either. My neighbor's rent jumped 18% after their first year. EIGHTEEN PERCENT!!! That's $180 a month!! You can pretty much hear everything that goes on in the apartments next to you and below you, so you better enjoy hearing other people have sex. Everything inside the apartments is 20 years old, and the property manager is a real a-hole. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Apartments are small yet pricey. You are definitely paying for the location. It's a smaller community, which is nice. Great view of forest preserve from deck instead of another building. Remodeled units are not anything special. Stackable washer/dryer is a joke, especially when There's enough space in the laundry room to have separate appliances. They boast "sound-conditioned walls" but I have yet to learn what that means as we had to deal with surround sound and stereo bass from our next door neighbor at all hours of the night (bedroom shares a wall with neighbor's living room). Smells from neighbors come through vents, especially in the bathroom, entrance and laundry room (cigarette smoke, nasty food, etc). Community in general can have a nasty food smell on any given afternoon. Always seems to be plenty of parking in the "repaved" (ha!) parking lot. Lots of children in the neighborhood. Maintenance doesn't rountinely check outdoor lighting so the majority of lights along the sidewalks are burnt out. Not a lot of dogs in the community but most owners seem to be responsible as far as leashing and picking up waste, myself included. Gym is a waste of time with maybe 4 pieces of equipment. Pool area is well-maintained, along with landscaping. Did not deal with office staff other than paying rent.

I was there for just a couple months, and I liked it for what it was. Its a little dated, and the fitness center is a joke, but its quiet, safe, great parking, big apartments. I also had new appliances in the kitchen and the water heater never let up. Things i didnt like: kitchen cabinets reek of 1980, same with the flooring in there. the layout was a little quirky but it was all i really needed. the mgmt was Fenial, and they helped me out pretty well when I needed to find a subletter. I never had an issue with them, they got the job done pretty well. Thanks!

I have lived here for two years now, in a one-bedroom Apace. Recently moved into a 2-bedroom Apace. New resident below me decided to play loud music, at all hours. Through my complaints (as well as other resident's), resident is being evicted. Most residents here are working proffesionals; work hard, get home, relax in a nice, quiet atmosphere. Like me, they don't appreciate certain people trying to 'express their extra civil rights'.<br>Office staff is knowlegeable and helpful. Maintenance staff is great. Surroundings are beautiful. After a long work day, It's nice to park my vehicle, open my Apace door and walk right into my Apace. The rent is a bit pricey; but, because of the Office Staff, the great accomodations and my neighbors, It's well worth it. If you like noise and loud music, go to Beeche Point Apartments (if you can find the 'Manager'). On the other hand, if you're like me, Village Green of Schaumberg is the best Apace/townhome complex to reside in.

My fiancee and I moved in here just before Christmas. We've had a great experience thus far. Our move-in went smooth and the staff was friendly. We live in the two story two bedroom and our Apace gets quiet. We've only had one maintenance issue so far and the guy showed up within an hour of my call. Our only downside so far is no garage, but There's plenty of parking so it hasn't been an inconvenience. Looking forward to the pool this summer.

The two good things about this property are the location and the office staff. Other than that, I would say It's less than par to live here. This place was built in the 80's and it has not updated much since then. You've got "wood" linoeum floors in the kitchen and foyer as well as out dated "wood" cabinets. A section of wood is peeling as we speak. My stove is so old it doesn't even have a clock on it. You've got dips in the floors of both bedrooms. Not to mention our furnace went out and was "repaired" several times before it worked properly. One last thing, the windows abolutely suck. Our neighbors can be outside having a normal conversation, and I can hear every single thing that was discussed. Please don't let them be having a good time and laughing because that means one thing for me, no sleep. I can also smell the smoke in my unit from neighbors smoking out side. Because of these things, I don't feel the price is worth it. Also in the declining economy, I find it hard to believe that the market price is increasing. I signed a lease and the next year our rent went up $100, I am antisipating what this year's increase will be. You've got some residents who say their rent hasn't gone up in 4 years, I'd like to meet them and find out how I can make it happen. Some plesant things about Village Green, the girls in the office and the maintenance guys. They are all so nice and kind. Last year when Chicago was hit with the blizzard, the girls from the office were out past 10 PM making sure that residents were ok and salting the sidewalks. I thought that was nice of them. And the maintenance guys are always nice and quick and they don't leave a mess. All in all, this is an OK place to live.

Initially the place seems Gonderful but the problem starts when you have to renew ..every renewal they raise rental prices and not willing to make changes. We have old carpeting which even the cleaner recommended for a change but the mgmt was unwilling to do it. You've got other problems we faced in the past years like rodents (was resolved through pest control but it happened on at least couple of occasions), lake not being cleaned to the point of having a green look for days together and snow clearance in the winters has been a big problem requiring lot of follow-up. Overall not a bad place and if you are willing to keep paying higher prices and deal with a rude property manager, you should be fine.
