Moved in about a year ago and I looked at all the typical apartments in Schaumburg.

Most in Schaumburg have the common entry where you share one door to get into the hallway. Not this one! I have a doorbell and no hallway to worry about smells or somebody running off with my morning paper.

Only 2 floors so the noise is contained and the setup is more like a townhome than Anit. Your own entry, windows that face 3 directions instead of just 1 or 2, washer and dryer (stacked), nice cars and nice people live here if you know what I mean. Not cheap but well worth it. The only complaint is I back up to Plum Grove Rd. and the cars and Harleys are a bit noisey from the stoplight at Schaumburg Rd.

Other than that the place is great. A mix of mid upper 20 to the 30´s and 40´s. No old people and no young partiers. Professionals make up most of the people. The rent is around $1000 for starters so it keeps out most of ther rif-raf.

Good luck and I looked at them all and this had it all for me.

If you can´t rent a townhome or Coachhome come here.

My experience wasn't the best and could have been way better. My statements are mine and are factual. Your experience may vary. There were red flags from the beginning at this property. A week before my move in the Property Manager, Emanuela emailed me to tell me that they ran into an issue with the current tenant and he was supposed to be moved out but wasn't yet. She asked if I had any wiggle room with my dates. I can’t tell you how incredibly stressed I already was at that time and to hear this a week before my move in date wasn't helpful. The day before move in I walked the unit with her and told her about a few things that needed to get done (minor items). She assured me everything would be done, never was. I came on move in day the items were still not done. Had to reach out and let her know. Maintenance came in again, and only addressed some items. A month later the previous tenant came to my door during the day and knocked. Left a note asking for me to call him because he had a credit card that was coming to my address that he needed. Emanuela then sent me an email asking when I receive the letter for him if I can drop it off to the office. In this day and age, this is absurd that she even asked me to do that and also mentioned I should call the police if he came to my door again. Shortly after this they had roofing replaced in the buildings. The crew they used were not clean, so they left nails everywhere on the property and I ended up getting a flat tire. I let the office know and Emanuela, gave the project manager of the jobsite my number (without even asking me) to deal with the invoice. I had to call the police several times due to people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot. You've got people walking around the cars and leaning on them and smoking, leaving cigarette buds all over the Penue, There's a strange woman that walks around barefoot into the clubhouse to refill her coffee or tea, kids are always playing in the street or by cars and have hit my car and I've seen them hit other residents cars. Now some hillbilies have moved into the community a few months ago and it’s quite obvious that they have never lived in an Aad community before. They have their children yelling and screaming all day long outside their units or at the pool starting issues over there. They let their dog run around unleashed (which according to the ordinance, they can't do), leaving their doors and windows wide open, yelling and screaming early in the morning. Since these people have moved in, the property has gone down tremendously. They recently had an altercation with someone outside and the man pulled out a knife!!! I’ve been in touch with the Area Manager Karena and the Vice President, Robert on getting some kind of concession or rent reduce. All the options provided (not many, and it was like pulling teeth) only benefited the company and not myself, the resident. Mind you this was going on back and forth for 17 days with no resolution. I spoke to another resident who moved out due to this. If you do decide to move here, be careful which area you settle with or it can become a nightmare for you.

I have been here for over a little of six months and I absolutely hate it. Like previous posters have said everything and I mean everything is outdated. The washer and dryer is so small that you can only put maybe one to two pieces in at a time. And for the rent that you pay you would think you would get better amenities. You pay for everything and including water. That they say is charged by someone else but its actually the complex charging you for water. And the water you pay for is sooooo horrible tasting that you think its coming straight out of the pond. The water is so cloudy that you are even scarred to taste it. I had to buy bottle water and filters to just have a cold drink of water. The cabinets are absolutely horridous. I dont even feel safe putting paper plates on the shelves because I feel that they might fall. And dont even get me on the late payments. If you are literally 3 days late on your rent you are getting all kind of harrasing letters left on your door. I moved from Chicago to schaumburg for work and I can honestly say I made the worst choice every. I should have continued to make the trip then live in this hell hole. and oh yeah if you dont like Comcast cable or want some other type of provider such as WOW, At&T or RCN you can forget about it. They only allow comcast to serve the tents which is a total rip off. At all cost please save your time and effort and avoid this place.

I've lived here for 8 years and I have loved living here. The leasing people are really helpful. They have dropped off packages for me and picked my garbage for me when I was sick. and the maintenance staff has been here longer than I have. My neighbors are Farm and i have never had loud ones. I highly recommend these apartments.

I was there a couple of years until mid-late 2008, and was associated with some other residents before and after that. The separate entrances nice as are the in-unit washer/dryer even if small, these two qualities are the best thing going about the apartments and for that reason they will always be able to drawn in new renters. The kitchen has rotten old cheap plastic/particle board cabinetry, and the kitchen area is so small you can hardy cut an onion without knocking things over. The units have started settling into the ground somewhat, and inside you see they have been painted over umpteen times. The mgmt is going to be sweet as honey and draw you in on a special, and once you sign the contract, then whether you are a new resident or a long time one, they are going to stick it to you every way they can. They are hard nosed and There's no accounting for uncontrolble cirumstanses. I suspect they Rery go for the transitional resident (less than one year) so they can stck them with the exorbitnant fees for getting out.
