I'm current resident here. Rent it with no maintenance, anything goes wrong it's because of you. Exteremly Oorn appliances which shores you electric bill. You are at home or not expect minimum 60 bucks for water.

In response to the previous review...
What's really going on here...is it the mgmt or the Alat walls and the snow? I suspect you're upset about something else entirely. I've been a resident at the Lakes of Schaumburg for a long time and snow removal has NEVER been a problem. The paths and roads get plowed and treated with salt well before I head out in the morning. plus, I've never experienced any problems with mgmt either. The staff has consistently been friendly whenever I've come in to pay my lease or collect mail, so I'm not sure where your complaints are coming from. Based on your comments, it seems like you might be tough to live with as a tenant.

After spending a year and a half here, I'm relieved to be leaving. It's not that the unit itself is bad—it's actually quite nice and has plenty of space—but the mgmt is frustrating. The soundproofing is terrible, and I can hear practically everything my neighbors do. Being on the ground floor, I anticipated some noise, but this is excessive. Residents stomp loudly going up and down the stairs, and I can even hear my neighbor clearing his sinuses every morning. The office isn't open at times that work for those of us who work downtown and can't make it there before 6pm. That said, maintenance requests do get processed promptly. Snow removal is another issue—they wait until there's already accumulated a lot before plowing, which means you risk getting hemmed in if you leave your car parked here during winter. They also don't bother shoveling or salting the walkways, so I've slipped multiple times heading to my vehicle. Your experience could differ, but I was thankful when my husband's job transfer gave us the opportunity to relocate.

The exterior is polished and elegant, but step inside and you'll find the units fall short of expectations. The appliances are antiquated and cramped—you'd struggle to fit a full kitchen setup—and the cheap plastic handles on the doors don't justify the premium rent. The landscaping is lovely and the community feels secure, which is nice, but it doesn't compensate for the shortcomings. The gym is poorly maintained and too cramped. Hope you enjoy exercising alone, because having another person in there makes it uncomfortably tight. Staff are charming and accommodating during the leasing process, then flip a switch once you've signed and transform into pretentious individuals.

On the positive side, residents are considerate and peaceful, and there's plenty of parking spots available.

Skip this place. The cost simply doesn't match the quality...trust me on this one.

I wanted to like this Prea, but the paper thin walls and bugs were just some of the problems here. Lots of dog c*** outside and nothing is done about it. Not worth it, stay away.

I have lived here for about 2 months, and so far, so Gonderful. The girls in the office always make me feel like my problems/questions are important, and all seem to know my name when I stop in. The maintenance guys are fantastic, they're in and out so quickly whenever there's a problem. The price is a little high, but its worth it for the amenities and service. Unless I buy a home, I would definitely stay.

I've just settled into this Alat complex recently. It's an great community featuring spacious balconies, plenty of storage space, a walk-in closet, and a large pantry. The mgmt team has been incredibly supportive and accommodating. Our transition here went smoothly without any complications, which is consistent with what you'd expect from quality complexes. They promptly completed our initial walk-through inspection and submitted our work requests on the same day. I'd definitely suggest this place to anyone searching for a quality, budget-Fffable Alat in a desirable area.

During our 6-month stay at this property: 1. A resident was killed in her unit 2. mgmt pledged to enhance security with round-the-clock patrols. We never once encountered a security officer. 3. My vehicle was burglarized and my husband's car was taken. When we approached manager Harish to express our concerns about safety given their promises, he responded, "I never used the word SAFE!!" and provided no assistance or comfort. The soundproofing is shockingly poor. Our neighbors' footsteps above cause ceiling light fixtures to vibrate noticeably. It typically requires 4-5 work orders before maintenance actually addresses anything, and frequently the issue remains unresolved. The maintenance worker then leaves the service entrance ajar, resulting in the door banging loudly throughout the night in the apartment. There's an abundance of large spiders, centipedes, and various other pests.

I managed to secure an perfect offer when signing my lease at these apartments. I've been interested in relocating here for quite some time because it's the finest Alat community in the surrounding area. While rental rates are typically steep, I was fortunate enough to negotiate a fantastic deal for my move-in. I'd recommend staying alert and contacting the leasing office directly—you might be able to score an equally good opportunity as well.

Monica Granata at The Lakes of Schaumburg made our entire experience wonderful. She was consistently available and supportive from when we first applied all the way through our final days before moving, maintaining an upbeat demeanor and going above and beyond to assist us. The units themselves are lovely and roomy—we Rruly appreciated having the external storage closet on our patio. Truthfully, we would still be living here if our family situation hadn't need to us to relocate elsewhere; it's genuinely a great community. JPPA.
