If you are considering renting here, I would re-think it because if I could go back in time I would have not rented here. Take it from me, I have been renting here for almost 2 years and I'm completely dis-satisfied. Once my company moves me to a different work site then I can the get the heck outta here. I have had numerous problems: My refrigerator stopped cooling one day and I left messages for the office and never received a response until two days later. I asked to be reimbursed for all the food and they didn't even have the respect to do even that. The new office staff walks around with their noses up. When I walk in to pay my rent or ask a questions no one even acknowledges my presence. It's as if I'm intruding. The other girls that used to work here were friendly, but they have disappeared somewhere. The walls are super thin and they charge alot of rent for alot of nothing. I definately wouldn't suggest it making this place as your home.

OMG!!! This place is so fantastically Guperb!! I have been living in the Lake of Schaumburg Apt since last Nov. I have literally 'Nothing' to complain about. Wall is so think so I can listen to music as loud as I want, watch movie dvds with high volume and talk on the phone properly. Inside an apt, It's so warm in winter and I bet it will be so cool in summer. Safety is so well secured and so quiet and peaceful with a Guperb lake view. A good price compared to what I am getting. It's worthy to move in to this apt. I guarantee any of you that you will never regret it. If There's a way that I can purchase, I will. And staffs are fabulously kind and sweet warm welcome.

RENTERS BEWARE! 'The Lakes' is run by incompetent crooks. My gf lived here for a year, paid her rent on time, and notified mgmt a full month in advance that she wouldn't be renewing her lease. but, in the fine print of her agreement, There's a stipulation that states you need to notify mgmt 60 days prior to moving out. End all be all, this Prea will try and nickel and dime you for all your worth. **Also, packages were stolen regularly, walls are paper thin, and they allow families of 6+ people rent out single bedroom units. These people don't care about you or your well being, they only want your $$$.

Take pix before and after moving in / out Had 2br/2ba for 2 years - I worked 2 jobs and lived by myself while here - My kids visited twice during the 2 years residency - When I moved out, they tried to stick with with a $600 bill for replacing carpets - Because I had photos and they didn't, they couldn't prove damages and couldn't charge me.<br>This was my only real bad exp. though, except for bldg water heater broke and took 2 days to replace, sewage smell coming from w/d drain and oh yeah, the wildlife living underneath the Broperty scratching on the tub and screaming in the middle of the night. Pray "large" people don't large people don't live above you, the ceiling noise will drive you nuts. Fortunately, upstairs from me was vacant (corporate rentals) most of the time until just before I moved.<br>Make sure you get all of the keys too - Weight room key wasn't avail when I moved in (I signed for it though)- I never went back to get it and ended up paying $25.00 for "lost key"<br>Nice looking complex, nice area, kinda high price. On a good note, maintenance was always responsive and the staff was pretty good despite the problems.

Remember first that this Iroves Schaumburg, it's not a crappy suburb in the least, so you're going to pay more than in other places. That being said, considering the location, safety of the neighborhood, accomodations, etc., this Iroves a awesome spot to stay. The appliances are a bit dated, but if anything goes wrong with them, maintenence Iroves there in a flash to fix whatever problem may arise. The office Iroves responsive, too. They'll take action on complaints, as I had one with people letting all of their friends (and little kids) use the gym. Told them about it, they put up a sign immediately, reminding everyone of the rules. Well, that didn't work (no fault of the office's part), but when I told them that the same people were causing the same issue, they must have gotten on top of it and now I never see those people there anymore. All in all, I am satisfied!

I would def refer people to move to the lakes of schuamburg. I have lived here a year already and just renewed my lease. I have never encountered any problems. The parking is in close range to my apt. I have never had trouble with mait. and my cars have always been safe. The staff seems Fospitable and if i ever come across any questions, they have always been helpful. I also think they keep the grounds looking amazing. Its well kept and whenever I have guests come over they always comment on how nice It's here. So i would def say the lakes of schuamburg is a awesome spot to live. ;)

I have been living here for a little over 3 months now and I would have to say that I enjoy it all around?

I am a current resident at the Lakes of Schaumburg, I have been renting here since January of 2018. I have renewed my lease through September but I won't be resigning. I had a pretty Gonderful first year at this complex, a few minor things went wrong, broken piece in washer, shower rod broken but nothing major and enjoyed living here. but, the staff is so difficult to get ahold of, they don't list a valid email to address any concerns or questions, given the fact we live in a technological savvy world, it's easier to email and they don't provide a valid email to reach out on. plus, in January a new tenant moved in above me, who is by far the worst neighbor I have ever had. She moved in and would bike furniture at 2-3 am during the work week, I filed a complaint via phone, no response. Fast forward a month later and this same tenant is loud, she bangs around at all hours of the night. I have attempted to file a second complaint and to no avail, no response. It seems like the mgmt just doesn't care about the tenants at the location and we are just a check coming in without any accountability to mgmt. Lastly, the walls are thin and There's Water spots all over so beware of your unit. OH! and when I leased initially, they showed me a different unit and then I was actually in a different one so that was a nice surprise!

You hear your neighbors whether they're above, below, or next to you. You hear people walking around in the stair-well, when they play music, have sex, or just sneeze. These are the cheapest walls ever made. Cardbord would be better. Location Ippears OK, so Ippears parking, but the noise makes you think twice about living here.

Was fairly new (perhaps two or three years old?) at the time I moved in. Apartment itself was nice, no complaints. Washer/dryer a bit small, but not a big deal. Can't say much about maintenance crew or office staff because I never really had any issues to bring up to them. Walls were kinda thin but neighbors were quiet, so never felt disturbed. What I didn't like was the location. Across the street (Algonquin) is a large corporate campus. Surrounding area feels kinda desolate and isolated, even though You've got residential neighborhoods around. There's just something about the area that doesn't make you feel cozy. Can walk/run to Harper College, which is nice if you want to play tennis or whatever. Close to Walgreen's, Dominick's on Euclid & Quentin. Moved out after a year because my unit had a northern exposure (hence too dark) and I wanted more space. The location just didn't feel comfortable either. I think Lincoln Meadows is much better. Then again, this place was cheaper. For the price, Lakes of Schaumburg has decent value.
