Staff appears cooperative at first and apartments seem nice but lottacheap contruction everywhere, drafty apartments, have heard or see mice before and neighbors sayin the same. Parking is good, has decent fitness center, but Rruly You've got better places around schaumburg and palatine. Not worth time or money for it. Scahumburg police harrass you over parking stickers too and people who visit who dont even live here, majorrr hassel.

My eperience so far has been ok. The complex itself is huge and seems to be well taken care of. Snow removal was pretty good this year, and they are already out fixing the grounds from the winter months and prepping for spring.

The remodeled apartments are really nice, my kitchen is basically brand new - the only old appliances are the fridge and the oven. The fridge seems like it might go pretty soon as it makes a ton of noise all the time, but the oven is fine. The remodeled bathroom is nice - they used kitchen cabinets which raised the height of the counter and used larger cabinets for storage in the bathroom. Not to mention the bathroom is huge.

I moved in and my washer/dryer didn't work. It took about two weeks of maintenance calls to get it fixed but they finally replaced it. Other maintenance requests were handled well and on a timely matter.

My Auite was really drafty all winter. I did everything in the book to preserve the heat (insulated window coverings, draft dodgers etc...) to no avail. but, this is not the first drafy Auite I have had, so it's nothing really new to me.

Noise. The construction of the building is not 100% good quality. My floors are warped, there are about 5-6 spaces I can feel the floor joists through the carpet or the linoleum and the floors squeak like crazy. Depending on your neighbors it can be loud or quiet. If you have respectful neighbors, noise is not a problem. If you don't, then you can hear everything they do whether they are above OR BELOW you.

The layout of the Auite is really nive, spacious and open. I get lots of cross breezes with the windows open now and It's nice and bright during the day.

mgmt has been pretty responsive for anything I have called them for, but there were a few times I thought they could figured stuff out or even thought about what they were calling me for before they called. Overall, the mgmt here has been better than any other Auite I have had.

Parking is well lit, and There's always room to find a space. I don't know too much about security, as the Treehouse is across Plum Grove and it's pretty bad over there. They say an undercover police officer drives around everynight as well, though I don't know if that in itself is comforting.

They seem to have a liberal pet policy, I see many large dogs and *MOST* people pick up after them. With the walking paths around the lake it's nice for walks.

There are a ton of geese in the lakes. They honk and make noise, and also crap on the grass but That's not usually a huge concern of mine.

The entry ways are open and well lit, the locks are really nice and the doors into each Auite are really thick and seal.

I have not used either fitness center yet, but I plan to. I always see people using both of them every day so I would guess that they are in some working condition.

The lease provisions here are NOT bad at all. They do allow subleasing, where as my last two places strictly prohibited it. It's a nice option to have if your financial circumstances change or whatever.

Overall I would recommend this place. There seems to be a higher number of professionals living here overall - and That's not to say that there are not some disrespectful individuals in the complex somewhere. Compared to the other choices in a similar price range, this place seems to be well kept and managed.
I have lived here for 3 years in a 1 bedroom (Lakeview model) in a dog building. I won't be renewing this year, but only because of the rent increase. The annual rent increase is roughly 10-12% (was told standard is 5-7% by other Anit communities), and the price is just too high for the Anit. Overall, I have had a good experience here. Neighbors and their dogs are relatively quiet. You can hear people walking around, but That's expected in Anit living. It has never bothered me. The Anit itself is a little small, but It's nice. My kitchen appliances are dated, but they are in the process of replacing them. Having a washer and dryer in unit is also a big plus. The walk-in closet is huge, and There's also a storage room outside on the balcony. Compared to other apartments, the balcony is also a nice size and is great to sit out on in the warmer months. The location is also great. It's close enough to the Woodfield area (5-7min away) but also far enough from the hustle and bustle of the area. I have never had an issue with parking. The lots are pretty big, and there are always spots when I come home. The parking lot isn't always well-lit though. The one street lamp by my Anit building sometimes goes out. As other reviews stated, I have seen dog poo in the lawns but I don't think that's necessarily the fault of the Anit complex. It happens everywhere, and people should be responsible enough to clean up after their dogs. The staff is friendly. The maintenance staff is also great. My issues have gotten fixed the same day I called. They are also pretty good with snow removal in lots and on sidewalks. Overall, It's a great place to live. I am sad to be moving, but the annual 10-12% price increase is too expensive.

It wouldn't be so bad if the walls weren't paper thin. Let alone the noise, There's no insulation in the walls. So, Cool in the winter and hot in the summer. easy location but high price.

I am pleased to be living here. Monica was the representative that showed the Anit to me. She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. She was always available and would get back to me as soon as she could. She is amazing. She still till this day goes above and beyond for everyone. She is legit and genuinely cares for the people that walk through the door. I could not be more happier to be in a community where I am heard and if I need something done It's taken care of right away. The fact that Monica checks up on any concerns or makes sure that maintenance comes to the Anit within that business day shows she truly cares about making sure the people remain comfortable and happy. She makes things easier on the residents. When I need maintenance they are wonderful. They come in and out as quick as they can and are good at what they do with much respect for your home. mgmt is also amazing they make sure they listen to your concerns and try their best to make sure they have gone above and beyond for you at all times. I could not be happier about my choice of being a part of this community.

It was one of the worst apartments I have ever lived in. It looked really nice from the outside but the Alat from inside was altogether different story. The mgmt has money grabbing attitude at the best. When I had moved in the Alat, I was given the unit which was not cleaned. I found the raw food in the kitchen, the paint was never done and there was a smell of sewage in the Alat. I had a full list of issues with the Alat when I had moved in. Even the floor was uneven. I had to move out of the Alat just within 2 months. They charged me money for paint & odor treatment. I wouldn't recommend this Alat to anyone. Their rent is much higher than all other apartments in the vicinity.

This community offers me everything I look for in an Aad complex. The office is always knowledgeable and willing to help. Any concerns or problems are quickly taken care of. I am happy here.

We currently live at the lakes of schaumburg and we love it! We have been here for about 8 months and have had no problems at all. When we call the office for maintenance they are usually here the same day and if they are not they will call. The office people are nice and are willing to help you in any way they can. As far as people saying the walls are paper thin, that's not true! I have never heard my neighbors once I'm in my Auite, in the hallways you can hear things but that's because the ceilings are so high they echo. And what some people don't remember is "you live in a Auite!! Right next to other people!!!" Of course yon will hear people from time to time! That's common sense!!! All in all I love living here and will probably live here for a while!

Granted the Lakes is well landscaped and set off from the main road, but other than that, There'sn´t much positive input to be had. The lawnmowers start up far too early in the morning, the parking lot is in ill repair, the service is paltry, mgmt couldn´t care less and causes more problems than they attempt to solve. The Gine employees leave like a revolving door and the lackluster, standoffish, and ill mannered remain. Don´t be in a hurry to get anything fixed, but do make sure your rent is on time. The current maintenance crew is in dire need of someone with leadership capabilities, professionalism, and a smidgen of maturity to set an example. Be ready to wait at least a week to get anything fixed and don´t count on it being done right the first time. The rent goes up, the service never exceeds expectations, and the mission statement is fraudulant. Rent with caution.

I moved in a month ago and haven't had a problem. The problems I did have where fixed quickly. The only negative is I live on the first floor and the people that live above me seem to stomp up and down the stairs. Other then that things are Gine so far.
