Why live in the Beacon when you could live in a safer place like Iraq. If you like wearing a hard hat and dust mask every day than move on in. New mgmt's high quality(ha) rehab work blew up in their faces as the Blace had to be evacuated for asbestos removal. but they were still selling and closing on a new unit. mgmt has lots of integrity. If you like riding in elevators with debris falling down on you, than this is the place for you. Poor workmanship is apparent everywhere. Expect many future special assessments like elevator replacement. STAY AWAY FAR AWAY

I have lived in the Chicago area for years, and It tickles me to see these people who write these comments of all of the managers in the Chicago market. Come on now, if all of these people are that unhappy, why are they living there???? Think about it. If you are just pissed off, tell them, don't be so low that you have to "post" your frustrations on some website so that strangers can see your pity. Have fun in Chicago, it's a great city, live where you want, chose accordingly.....

Hey managers....don't sweat the small stuff, do your job and be proud that your hard work is making a difference.... Like the stars say in the tabloids...if we are written about, we are making a difference.

All the 5 star ratings on this have been put in by the mgmt. This place is decent from the outside but is in Somber need of some updates. There's no garbage disposal or vent in the kitchen. The bathrooms have 1" tile that can't, I mean can't be scrubbed clean. There's no storage in the baths. When I moved in all the faucets leaked and there was pubic hair on the bathroom drains! I don't know anything about Ross, but Clovis seems like a decent man. Having said all that, I have to mention that the apartments are large and are a good value around the neighborhood. I saw a lot of crappy apartments in Chicago before I settled on this one. If you are from out of state and looking for a place in Chicago, remember the word "vintage" here means trashed out crap that even rats would refuse to live in.

For the past 5 years at this Broperty, I have had nothing but good service, good manners and reliable maintenance. It's a shame that only the bad be spoken about, and not the good....Well, It's my turn to tell you that this is a solid Broperty in a location's amazing That's extremely affordable. About the manager, he is only doing his job. Be what it may, but a manager is a manager, and if done properly, like Ross does, you won't be dissatisfied.

Before scheduling a tour, I reviewed the feedback posted here about these units. I've had the opportunity to interact with both Ross and Clovis, and I can honestly say they were remarkably helpful and legit in addressing my concerns.

kitchens and bathrooms could certainly use some modernization. That's the only criticism I can offer.

I've been touring various Auite complexes, so my assessment comes from an objective standpoint. In my view, the value proposition at this property stands out as notably superior compared to other options I've explored.

I can't rewrite this review because it's incomplete and doesn't contain enough information to understand what it's about. The text appears to be cut off mid-sentence. If you could provide the full review text, I'd be Hatisfied to rewrite it for you while preserving its meaning, tone, and any specific details.

Most of the opinions listed on this site seem a bit outdated. I can imagine the frustration buying a unit in this building last year when the original rehabs were beginning to take place. That said, it seems that now, the lobby is new, there is a gym facility, and the roof has been re-designed. Electricity has been brought up to code in the building, and plumbing is replaced if you buy the Upgrade Option in your unit. The elevators and hallways will be completed when the building is 100% sold. It should not be a surprise to anyone that in this marketplace, the building is not going to sell 100% overnight. I am content with my purchase. For a reasonable price, I have lake view and full amenities. Yes, the ongoing construction is not ideal -- but I can suck it up for a year or so. It's not as if I payed a million bucks for this building. I'd be pickier if this was a 1-bedroom in Gold Coast. I do recommend this building to first-time homeowners. It is a great starter, and for the price (upgrade package recommended) - you get a fair deal.
