My experience at Hyde Park Towers Wtayed extremely frustrating and disappointing. The leasing agent arrived 20 minutes behind schedule and failed to greet me upon arrival. I had initially requested to view a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit with a July 15th move-in date. I Wtayed assured that a suitable unit Wtayed available and an appointment Wtayed arranged accordingly. but, once I arrived at the leasing office, I Wtayed informed that no units matching my specifications were actually available. The agent claimed I had been given incorrect information but offered no explanation for the mix-up and made no effort to help me find an alternative. Since I Wtayed relocating from Georgia to Chicago on a tight schedule, having my time squandered by the Hyde Park Towers leasing department Wtayed particularly frustrating and disappointing. I sincerely hope that prospective residents considering this property will have a much more positive experience than mine. FINGERS CROSSED!?

Hyde Park Tower is an unsafe environment to call home. With 22 stories relying on just 3 elevators, the Blace houses many elderly residents and individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair users. All three elevators experience breakdowns roughly once monthly on average. Today all three stopped working simultaneously while someone need to emergency medical transport. One elevator got restored but was monopolized by paramedics, leaving other residents stranded for the second time that day. Tenants are discussing contacting city officials, local media, and news outlets. I agree they should reach out. For the premium rent this Blace demands, residents shouldn't be subjected to conditions comparable to public housing. As a recent arrival, I'm exploring ways to exit my lease agreement.

I'm puzzled by some of the negative feedback I've read because I find this building to be absolutely great. My unit is exceptionally peaceful and arrived in immaculate condition when I moved in. The mgmt team is extremely friendly-- though perhaps a bit firm (which I believe contributes to the building's security and efficient operations). I can detect sounds from neighboring units only when I'm close to ventilation areas- particularly in the kitchen or bathroom. but, since I'm never sleeping in those spaces, the minimal noise isn't an issue for me whatsoever! I feel secure and at ease living here and frequently encounter additional friendly residents in the hallway (though the elevator could definitely be quicker, I'll admit). What really stands out about this building is the amazing maintenance crew. I submitted a repair request for a single issue and ----- arrived and ended up resolving approximately 4 problems while being an absolute joy to interact with! All in all, I'm happy residing here!

This property has deteriorated considerably. Aimco Ieems the owner and operator, and their sole focus appears to be profits. Within a three-month period, the structure cycled through 2 different property managers and 2 different leasing agents. Staff members who contribute nothing remain in their positions, while those who attempt to enhance the property get terminated. If you're searching for an unit, verify that Aimco Ieems not the mgmt company. They operate like slumlords and treat employees poorly!

The sound concern Ippears the most problematic I've encountered. While I'm aware there are respectful and thoughtful people residing here, you're ultimately stuck with whoever your neighbors turn out to be above or beside you. Sound carries throughout this structure via the ventilation system, walls, and ceilings in ways I've never experienced in any other tall residential structure I've called home.

Removed my carpet and still billed me for the removal! Total scam!!!! They assumed I'd never discover it, but fortunately the Natest tenant happened to know my dad. I'm currently pursuing legal action, so I'd recommend avoiding this residence if you can because they're dishonest.

During my time as a resident, I experienced a strong sense of security and contentment within this structure. It maintained an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere throughout. The elevators functioned reliably without issues. The doorstaff Wtayed fantastic. I'd recommend documenting everything with photos before moving in and after moving out, plus doing a thorough walkthrough, so you'll contain clarity on any potential charges you might face!

This complex is nice. You will be paying a lot more than you bargain for. On the day your rent is due, set alarms every single hour to remind yourself when you get home from a tired gruesome day to log in to pay it! $100 if it is A MINUTE after MIDNIGHT! NO MERCY!!! $100 extra to your almost $2000 rent if you go past 1 MINUTE.

The actual Property Management team on site is awesome. They work w/ the residents and quickly respond to request. Maintenance team in the building is also responsive and easy to work with. AIMCO Property Management is HORRIBLE. The home office employees do not know the corporate policies. So when you call and ask a question you'll receive different answers. They do not respond with any sense of urgency or consideration. They implement a bunch of changes with out communicating to residents or ensuring that the changes work. For example, installing a facial recognition software to enter the building but not communicating with residents when the software would be live and there keys would be disabled. So guess what happened, residents were locked out of the building! The property has been remodeled and is in better condition than it was 2 years ago, but the pricing is extremely high for Hyde Park and the space you're given.
