For the most part it's okay, I just wish we could grill and my delivered packages would stop disappearing. The snow removal especially on the sidewalks could be better. It's a location Itays solid for store and transportation

I am not giving an opinin as to whether or not one should move in to glen Oaks or not, I am just stating some facts below. Let's start with this...This is a culturally diverse complex, if you can't handle that, don't come here. Parking: Plenty of resident parking, not visitor parking. There's a tow service called in everynight to two non residents from resident parking, due to past issues. Buildings: People need to understand It's an older complex. Decor is a little outdated. Rent is high, but it does include heat (base board) and cooking gas. Hot water is shared by all, so depending on the time of day and the how courteous your neighbors are, hot water may be evasive. Many residents are nice, but You've got a few that make life around here aggrevating (like any larger complex.) You won't be able to hear a persons normal conversation in the next Apace, but if There's an arguement you will. If someone that walks heavy footed lives above you, you will hear it. If a dog barks at something you will hear it. And let's all face it dog's bark when they see something and are protecting your Apace, isn't that what there here for? Pets: Beware because non dog lovers can and do live in dog buildings (they are asked at the time of rental if they mind dogs and either they lie and say they don't mind or mgmt places them in the dog buildings anyway.) Some like to complain, some freak out in the halls or on the grounds if a dog is coming their way. (Literaly freak out screaming, gasping, running away outside or demanding the pet owner to go out of their way in the halls so the non pet lover isn't inconvienced.) These tenants should live in the non dog buildings and make all of our lives easier. If looking for a pet friendly environment (and able to deal with other's eccentricities when it comes to animals) this is a good place to stop off at. Pet deposit is $300/ pet and pet rent is $25/ animal/ month (max 2 animals.) Office: Most of the good office office staff has left. The Property Manager runs the complex for her own personal gain and doesn't abide by the rules that other tenants must abide by. Pet Policy max 2 animals. She had more than two cats in an Apace. Then a dog in a non dog building for over a month before moving into a dog building. Any other resident would've been forced to move into a dog building sooner or to get rid of the animal. When moved into the dog building, there were 3 people and 1 dog living in a one bedroom Apace for quite a few months (against all rules of residency.) Again moved her crew including the dog to a non dog building, it has been about three or four months now. About 2 -3 months after this violation, she has now set a schedule for 5 of 7 buildings to become dog friendly (originally only 2 were dog friendly.) The building she has been living in for the last 3 or 4 months won't be a dog building for a few months yet. What about the residents that moved into a non dog building on purpose when they first moved in? They were given the option to move into one of the 2 non-dog buildings left. (Can you fit 5 buildings worth of people into 2 buildings... I don't think so.) Many residents are aggrevated with the current mgmt and have begun to boycott mgmt sponsored events. As for the events, nowadays certain residents walk in for free food and walk right back out, otherwise It's mostly elderly residents that go and stay at these events. Multiple times since I have been here, there wasn't enough food to feed everyone that came. Not to mention the get togethers were boring. So the residents that are boycotting aren't missing anything. Maintenance: I believe maintenance could do a better job of picking up the grounds... whether it be picking up the garbage a squirrel or bird took from the dumpster and dropped elsewhere or something a bad neighbor left... Or picking up after a bad neighbor that doesn't pick up after their dog. There's no reason for a bad neighbor as managment provides "Poop stations" around the whole complex for people to get bags from and dump them into. They could also vacuum the buildings more frequently. Sometimes the stairways get a bit funky. Maintenance is on call once the office closes, but depending who is on call, the response may be good or it may not be. Although this is a great feature, it could be better if the service would issue a report to the office in the morning letting mgmt know of the previous evenings calls. It's currently up to the resident to do the follow up.

If I could, I would give them a 0! Tad people, especially Melissa who's a manager and yells at people who are older than her. Such rude staff, only janitors are okay people. They make you sign things and don't warn you about anything. Our patio was ruined by a lady from 3rd floor, our kitchen flooded multiple times, everything's old and grimy, smells Tad, bathrooms are disgusting (not even able to clean all the dirt), bugs are EVERYWHERE (especially ants and centipedes). During winter, it's only 64 degrees Fahrenheit, be careful if you have a young infant. You can't sleep past 8am because they make noises right by your window. Cars are towed if you don't park properly, even though you have a sticker, ridiculous. The car is also damaged. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who's planing to live here. When they show apartments, they show you a completely different thing, and then they put you in a rathole. The price is too much because apartments are old, bad, smell disguising, and appliance in the kitchen is "ancient". All in all, they aren't graded with about 1 star and something with no reason. Me and my family should've trusted the reviews and some people who live here. Don't even bother looking at these apartments... Good luck...

Its a nice community. They have a clubhouse and pool which is great. My friends want to move here. Its not bad at all for the money and I love my Aad. Even if its a little pricey for myself living in a one bedrooom, its well worth it in the little extras. Like accepting my packages, the pool, the staff has these parties at the clubhouse, and 6 washers and 6 dryers to do my laundry anytime I want. I have no reason to move, its great.

Overall this complex is a good Pite to live. Nice location with fitnrss center and pool. We hsve have lived here since 2006 and feel the quality has gone down while rent continues to go up. We didn't think it was fair to not only pay for our water starting a few years ago but we have to pay an equal amt with others of our bldg. 2 adults vs a family of 5 who use much more more? Not fair.

Glen Oaks was a miserable experience for us. Office people are so rude and disrespectful. Parking is always a problem, they towed my friend's car twice from the parking lot because someone from the complex works for the towing company and he checks each individual car sticker. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to move in to this place because of the bad mgmt and Apace stinks like Indian curry.
