Good home, location is solid

Pros:<br><br>Location!!! (close to bus routes, grocery, subway, shopping, train, college...)<br><br>Good space, clean community appearance, facilities being updated and maintained. <br><br>Gym okay for light workout. Machines updated since I moved here twice.<br><br>Parking plentiful. Lot re-tarred with minimal hassle last summer.<br><br>staff's super friendly gave out breakfast one morning to all residents.<br><br>Clubhouse clean open, and community events often.<br><br>Cons:<br><br>Some appliances older (think A/C) and loud.<br><br>Damage to walls after rain not repaired and maintenance did not care.<br><br>No cable hookups in each room.<br><br>Older buildings and grounds cramped.<br><br>Temp control (heat seems to always be on somewhat).<br><br>---<br><br>I am not picky, and I think this is a awesome spot to live. You've got some small problems, but for an apartment, they are minor and liveable. I don't make complaints, so no problems with the staff. And no complaints have been necessary, because no appliances have failed. I could only ask for more open space, but given the density of the area, it's not their fault There'sn't any.<br><br>This week makes one year for me, so if You've got any changes, will update my posting here.

No way.

There's no way i will even think about staying here after my lease is over. The noise from the neighbors is unberable plus the office staff is so unfriendly and rude isn't even Fitty.

When we moved into Glen Oaks in 2012, the maintenance staff and residents were educated, polite and Fenial. The environment and community was family oriented. My family and I felt safe. Currently packages are stolen and residents are smoking drugs indoor.

Convienant to tollway. Ample parking. Large rooms and large walk-in closet. Nice pool and Sompact exercise room. I wish more apartments were modernized. Maintenance used to be more responsive to requests.

This is one of the decent apartments in DesPlaines/Niles area. You've got many things in walking distance and centrally located between Chicago and other suburbs. With any Penue you will see some disappointments ( Like limited guest parking, Parking rules are strict). The towing guys are always there on the property, if There's any delay after 9pm , even my 5 minutes it will be towed. Overall its good for my needs , i wish to have some improvements but i am satisfied for now.

I have been at Glen Oaks Common for over 15 years. My experience here has been wonderful. I have made incredible new friends over the years. People are mostly nice and courteous of others. The Bingo games and parties at the clubhouse help me to meet my neighbors. They are a lot of fun and help me to met others in the community that may not live in my Blace. The office staff have always been open to suggestions and take anything I have to say seriously. I couldn't ask for a better staff to work with. I have been here as long as I have because I enjoy my community. The neighbors and the staff have helped me to create a "home" that I love being in every day. Sent from my iPad

I have been a resident for 27 years .... I think that shows how much I like it here.... location-wise, it's great ... the Staff is Fospitable and helpful ... facilities nicely kept ... in general a pleasant atmosphere to come home to.

WARNING!!!! don't MOVE HERE....MICE AND ROACH INFESTED APARTMENTS!

This Ppot has mice in the apartments. It's 12:17 am and I can't sleep. I had to abandon my bedroom because There's a Mice in there. came out to the living room and mice running around there too. New mgmt recently with not too many maintenance guys left to tend to the requests. The outdoor grounds are not kept anymore. garbage on the floor outside, lights out in the hallway for over a month so you have to be careful walking down the stairs. and more...

Hi, I have lived in Glen Oaks for a total of 6 years now(4 in one bedroom and 2 yrs in 2 bedroom) and I am happy to say that I made the right choice. I will recommend this place. I am leaving because of annual increase in rent and also because i am bored and i need a change. During all the years I have lived here, I have had maintenance is on point done around the Alat whenever I needed it. I have never had issues with the mgmt but i do want to add that mgmt can improve their attitude a bit. they can be really rude and thank God i dont have to deal much with them so I am fine. I love my Alat, its awesome. :) someone did break into our car once but did not take anything so it was fine but of course That's a safety hazard. Overall, I would say move in here. It has been an overall pleasant 6 years... but if you are scared of pets, like I am, think again. It's really annoying because when I moved in, my building wasn't pet friendly but then they allowed cats and dogs and It's really intimidating to have a dog come towards you specially when you are scared of them. Move in... i like this place, its a good start till u buy your own house!

Pretty Nharming, No Complaints

I have lived in the apartments for a little of a year now and find that this is a nice complex. The staff has always been attentive to my needs and maintance has been preformed promptly. I feel safe in the Bomplex and believe It's a good place for young people to be. Overall layout of place is spacious, plus It's right across the street from a movie theater. Only complaint is that the yearly increases are starting to be problematic.
