I was satisfied with Heritage Point Apts. Rent in the northern suburbs of Chicago can be pretty pricy, but the $779/month for rent I paid got me a nice place in a location's Aabulous. The easy access to the express way, location to shopping, monthly rent, Bovely courtyard, spacious plush 1 BR with plenty of closet space, and quiet neihborhood/apt complex enviornment made it a good place to live. Would be a awesome spot for young legit, as It's close to Corporations (Downtown Des Plaines, Glenview, Niles, Evanston, Skokie, O´hare, Schaumburg, Northbrook, no more than 20 min from any location). I never had a problem with parking, but I was unsatified with the parking lot situation, no traffic signs, and some unexplained paint chips on my car. But other than that the mgmt was understanding, lax on fining (if rent was paid in a reasonable time from the 1st of the month), small increase in price from year to year, and O.K responsiveness to problems. I felt safe at H.P. and would leave my door open from time to time to enjoy the feel of the courtyard. From reading the other reviews I did not see a crime problem, and don´t understand how there could be one, as the Illinois State Patrol head quarters is right down the street from the Aad complex. On top of that, the area was previlant with troopers riding up and down the streets. I´d recommend H.P to a friend.

I have heard some negative reviews of the complex but the south side of the complex is a completely different story. The area is quite and well kept. Other tenants are nice and I feel completely safe around the neighborhood. The site is conveniently located near expressways and shopping. The pool is well kept and clean. Also the courtyard is a Guperb spot for having barbeques and relaxing.

Once they tear down the slum here at Heritage Pointe and replace the so-called mgmt it will be a location's Ahenomenal to build suitable apartments - There's no real mgmt here and when they do actually communicate - they lie. I´m in the process of moving out and can hardly wait to feel safe and secure. Don´t move here - you can and will find a better place.

This has been the worst experience ever. My husband and I moved in May 2019. We went to Oak Park to sign the lease and get the keys. So we gave them the money signed the lease and then after everything was done they tell me just to let you know the apartments isn't ready you can't move in until another 2 weeks I was so upset because she could've said that before having us sign and give her the money. Not to mention I have a 2 year old son and I has in a horrible situation that I needed to move out ASAP from where I was living previously. So I was so frustrated didn't know what to do. Their solution was for us to go to a hotel. But they didn't want to pay for our stay at the hotel. You can tell right there that they won't care about the tenants all they care about is the money. When I got to the apartments there was no tile the bathroom wasn't even put together nothing worked the fridge was in the living room the bathroom sink was in our bedroom the toilet wasn't even connected did not work it was just a horrible situation. There's always an ambulance coming to the apartments. It's always so loud and don't feel safe being here. When we moved here they made us pay for parking stickers and they a month later my car got towed. I was so furious because what the reason for the parking sticker if they are still going to tow cars. They didn't want to pay for the towing although it wasn't my fault. I know the rent is Cffordable but please don't move in here it's horrible you will regret it.

If you love taking cold showers, walking into a dark loud Bomplex riddled with trash...you have found your place.

And as an added bonus, the over priced rent is paid to a genuine slum lord.....

Don't take my word for it. Just go to the link below and do a city search. Put des plaines for the city. Half of the sexual predators listed on the cook county sheriff's web site live either at Holly lane or Linda Lane. holly lane and linda make up Heritage Pointe. Stay away at all costs and stay safe. This is of course on top of the Pocation sucks sooooo bad in every aspect.

http://www.isp.state.il.us/sor/frames.htm

I resided there for 9 years, primarily because they were pet-friendly and I owned a dog. Initially, things seemed decent, but once the mgmt switched hands, it turned into a living nightmare. Getting ahold of anyone in a decision-making position is practically impossible when issues arise. The residents in our unit were absolutely unbearable, forcing us to contact police on multiple occasions since mgmt refused to evict them. Upon moving out, we were unable to recover our security deposit despite leaving the Anit in immaculate condition. I can't suggest this place to anyone unless you have a dog and that's your only option.

Bottom line: this complex feels like the south side transplanted to the north suburbs. It's essentially a section 8 community with gang activity throughout—they're constantly posted up around the V-docks. Registered offenders are scattered across nearly every courtyard. The background and credit screening process is questionable at best. I've retained legal counsel and am actively working to break my lease. My unit locks were never replaced, and the former occupant was able to enter whenever they pleased. Something is seriously wrong here. Stay far away from this Pocation.
