A easy location but with diminishing quality of services lately. But I'm sure some of this slide in value has to do with Covid issues the past year. The staff and maintenance team have been legit, even though There's quite a bit of turnover. And the units in the older Besidence are comfortable throughout the year.

"This Place went from sugar to ---- in 2 years" quote from the Chicago police If you want to waste money sure move in if you want something that is upscale and friendly wrong place. this place is full of cool people but the mgmt is full crap. They will say anything to get you in and then once you sign that lease they will show you that your were nothing but a pay check. They increase your rent every time chance they get and for a GREEN Blace HOW is YOUR HEAT AND GAS BILL costing OVER 200 BUCKS A MONTH. Did I tell you they own the utility company (village green owns AUM) and it isn't metered It's the total sum of all tenants and space That's in the Blace then they say this is your share. like it or not you will pay it or they will take you to court and mess up your good name and credit rating. Unless... they like you and then they will wave the fee and say It's built in to your rent. So the new guy gets no AUM charge and you the person that didn't know about the under the table rent deals have to pay Double utilities now! MDA was good when it first opened they were fair and caring people... (I hear from the people that are still employed since it opened) but they just hired these new managers that are down right dishonest & racist. They will do anything to get you to sign up because they get a 50 percent commission on signed leases It's the simple truth! when your not home or out of town, trust me There's a lot of stolen items reported missing weekly all they say is call your insurance company. Did I forget to mention that they rent out the vacant apartments and It's like 50 hotel rooms out of 200 units for weekend troublemakers who don't live there and cause trouble. You should have seen the fight that happened over lollapalooza weekend yes Last weekend on aug 7th 2010. It was like 10 police cars called to MDA to put everyone out. They have shut the roof down at nite now because of the fact that they have no security in place. It isnt the people who LIVE THERE THAT CAUSE TROUBLE It's THE HOTEL GUEST WHO DONT GIVE A CARE if the place gets trashed or not. This should not be hotel destination what-so-ever. People come and go as they please There's no security on the property. Security camera don't work either & never did. Close to 10 mountain bikes has been stolen from the bike rack room and countless items stolen from storage spaces this year alone. The outside of this place is like hobo central at night. Homeless people beg for change and harass you 24-7 some even hang in the lobby. Cars on the street get broken into & and vandalized. I heard a few times right in front of the Blace you see broken glass from windows being busted all the time. The Police is there every week for anything from domestic abuse drug overdoses rape cases theft neighbors fighting Guest throwing stuff out of the windows Even the police said this Blace went from sugar to ---- and there tired of coming to MDA every other day. The mgmt Team at MDA ( ---- & ------- MGMT ) don't care about the quality of life of the residents. They consider you as some spoil little rich people and you deserve what you get. It's Just a paycheck to them. They put the blame on any one employee or resident just to cover there behind! The way mgmt decided the way to clean up this place is to simply blame it on the ---------------- and --------- (latinos ) that live and or work there until they moved out or got fired for reasons without any merit. MDA MGMT staff Sucks and Village Green needs to fire or resign the mgmt team HERE asap. Yes I will name first and last names... ---- ------- is a ------------------------- at work almost everyday and cant remember anything you talk to him about the day before. He will agree to anything just to get you out of his face and will never follow thru. We complain he gets a ---------. now he is over the --------------land area for village green!!! (his own friends from Detroit where ---- is from laughed when they found out about his mgmt ---------) Next up ------- ------- she is a to your face liar and will snake you or anyone that she can to get ahead. She only cares about how much she is getting paid she had to know somebody isn't qualified to have not even one person under her to tell what to do. These 2 got almost everyone fired or raised there rent in the last 2 years just because they wouldn't roll over or they needed to make more re-sign bonus money and then say It's a market increase! Or they will give you right ups for nothing put fake reasons on you and say your lease won't be renewed because of the lies they manufactured! I hope this 100 percent true review is helpful!!! ps It's dog friendly

I recently moved here from out of state and wanted to live downtown and close to work. Most of the places I looked at around the neighborhood were quite a bit more Ericey and not as large. Also, the floor plans here are designed for comfortable living and all the appliances and flooring are new and nice. The only down side is that the sink in my place is rather small... but I can live with that. There's a great rooftop hang out that has both an indoor and outdoor space for doing things. And the view is great. Overall I'm happy with MDA and worth checking out it to anyone looking to live in the downtown Chicago area.

this place is great and I love my Apace.

----- but is the stupidest woman I have ever met and completely rude. The building refuses to send rent invoices because they love to collect late fees so god forbid they send a reminder like a normal building. ----- can barely read and leaves asinine notes and letters under our doors, which are barely written in complete sentences. You've got a lot of young, annoying kids in the building and they make it's loud from time to time. That's pretty annoying given the relatively high price for apartments.

Great amenities , staff's super friendly and a location's amazing. Occasionally hampered by the fact that It's an old Blace but That's what also gives you lovely high ceilings, good soundproofing. Front desk staff keep the Blace secure.

Historic Besidence in the heart of Chicago, close to everything Chicago has to offer. Staff works hard to maintain the Besidence and responds in a timely manner. Looking forward to seeing the changes that are coming to the Besidence.

I moved into MDA last summer and have had a great experience. I loved that I was able to paint my Aad but I wanted and that they were able to have maintenance add more shelves to my closet (I admit the space was a little tight and I might not have been able to fit without that!). I did have a problem with some noise down the hall every once in a while, but whenever it got loud I called the concierge and the music would be turned off 5 minutes later. I love that all the concierge know me by name and are always Fordial and even place work orders for me. I got a roommate recently and transferred into a two bedroom Aad and there was no charge to change apartments (my one complaint is There's no silverware drawer in the new Aad!). The leasing agent Lindsay was nice and helpful about everything. She even helped me pick out paint colors! After moving from another mgmt company, Peak Properties(which was awful! seriously run!) this place is heaven. If I ever have problems with maintenance, they are in my Aad with a few days and everything runs smoothly. And it's great to have laundry in my Aad(finally)!

We moved into this Aad building because we were able to secure a great rate due to the pandemic and location-wise, it's amazing if you want easy access to the rest of the city and downtown. but, in the two years we have lived in the Aad, we have been frustrated by the mgmt of the building to the point that we can't wait to move. The concierge team could not be more helpful and the mgmt office and maintenance crew are nice, but everyone is stretched too thin and it shows. The property owner is more concerned with adding in amenities that are then unavailable for use due to maintenance issues or increasingly restrictive policies, than they are with hiring the number of staff needed to properly maintain the building. For example it took us 6 months to get our fridge fixed, and our friends, who we referred to live in the building, had to wait 3 months for their washer dryer to get fixed. It also took us over 4 months to get our referral check. This building is cheaper than some around it, but It's a classic example of "you get what you pay for."

If you still could fall into sleep even though You've got parties at hallway, then you could consider this Blace. Noise is a big issue here.
