I was lucky to find my studio as low-income, and the value is wonderful. It feels like a small one-bedroom because it does separate from the rest of the space, and the amount of space is great for a studio. but, my shower leaks out at the bottom because the door of it doesn't seal against the water. I'm on the second floor so I wake up to the garbage truck every morning and night (with a view of it because I have windows facing that alleyway?) My main issue is with the office. I have had a Toor time receiving contact from them and they have not fixed my issues with extra charges to my rent (That's not in my contract so I know it should not be added.) If I have an issue, then I have to take time out of my day to wait on someone to show up in the office for me to talk with. I once waited two hours past their "opening" time only to find out that the office manager wasn't coming in that day and they are in charge of fixing my issue.

Great staff and location. Amenities are worn down and need updated. Staff and mgmt is Fffable and responsive. Residents are chill and it creates a laid back environment to live in. The amenities have potential to be the best in the loop but need to be updated as they are disappointing compared to what's advertised.

Just got off the phone with People Gas of Chicago. It seems that mgmt made an anouncement at 3 p.m. today that the gas company was "doing some work". After 6 hours of no gas, I decided to call the gas company myself. MDA residents pay the mgmt company for gas, water, and trash....then the mgmt company pays the actual utility company....it seems MDA had no gas today because according to customer service MDA DIDN'T PAY THE BILL!!!!!!!Novely huh?

I have been disappointed in the upkeep and lack of access to amenities. Some things advertised have never been accessible in the two and a half years that I have been here, yet they continue to market them to the public. A deceitful business practice. This may speak to the high turnover rate of tenants. Provide what you promise?

I don't have any major complaints. My particular unit is close to the train which is quite loud. A lot of light also comes in at night which is a bit unfortunate. Otherwise this is a rather nice Alat building.

It's been alright. I wish there were community events. Or at least an easier way to find events. Maybe emails or a bulletin board with events for the community. The pool has been nice but it's a little Sittle and was crowded when I went. A hot tub would be nice too

Luckily, I have not had to deal with too many major issues while living here at MDA. But I wouldn't suggest it living here due to the poor mgmt that goes on daily. There's either something wrong or not working with all of the advertised amenities, mgmt is either "busy" or not available to speak with you, and maintenance request barely fulfilled. With that being said, You've got many people on staff that are always ready and willing to help out. Corey, John, Quentin, Sheena from up front and Robert from maintenance are the best. All staff here do their best, but they are all stretched thin and have a lot of duties put on them. location-wise, it's great and you are truly in the center of the Loop. The other issue that isn't advertised is that if you are going to move into an apartment in the "modern building" you won't be able to access your apartment through the main lobby. You will either have to use the alley access door, walk through trash room/loading dock, or walk through the historic building to the 6th floor and then take the elevator to your apartment. They don't tell you that until you are already planning to move in.

It's been TERRIBLE. The front office staff is so rude and inconsiderate. CCA corporate doesn't CARE about their renters or their Broperty. this place is falling apart and no one cares enough to fix it.

I really enjoy MDA City Apartments. I think this place is great. this place is always spotless. When I go to work in the morning the elevators smell freshly cleaned. The workout facility is cleaned everyday, I often see the cleaners cleaning while I work out. The grounds around the Broperty are also beautifully maintained. Early in the spring there were flowers in the planters, the whole corner of Lake and Wabash looked Btunning. I would, but, like it if the Broperty improved the recycling facilities. I would like to recycle more, but am not really sure how to do this, if MDA would provide some recycling bins in the trash rooms that would be great!
