This building has a great swanky, trendy feel with a location right in the heart of the city. Couple these features with unique loft spaces and a fabulous rooftop, and you would be right to want to live here! sadly, the mgmt team touts their commitment to excellence and amazing service without delivery. A serious problem arose in the Apace, and we allowed maintenance teams (including the engineer) into the Apace 4 times before we finally had to resort to the RLTO. While the community did allow us to terminate our lease without penalty under the RLTO, we had to fight valiantly. It become obvious quickly that the mgmt team concerned themselves with their defense as opposed to making the problem right by us. Bottom line: don't be fooled by the great space, because terrible mgmt will ruin all appreciation!

Worst property mgmt. Period. Throw a bunch of unreasonable charges at the residents. I lived in a studio. First of all, you have to pay AC/heat for your whole floor (divided by residents on the same floor), meaning even if you don't turn on the AC in your Anit the whole time, you'd still end up receiving a $70 (approximately and at a minimum usually) bill every month for "shared" use (literally $70 a month). Shouldn't these charges be covered by the mgmt as their operating expenses, rather than forcing the residents to pay?! Moreover, It's not like we can control/adjust the temperature in the hallway. Everytime I enter the Btructure It's freezing cold and how about you mgmt turn it down a little to "save" us residents a few bucks?! Then There's always this $7 admin charge on this $70 bill. I had never lived at a place like this where I had to pay a fee in order to pay public AC/heat. You might think $70 is where this ends right? Hell no...now there comes electricity. Yep, you didn't see it wrong. Now you have to pay the "real" electricity that you use in your Anit...yes, on a separate bill... Uhm...excuse me? then What's that $70 bill for? God knows. Also, isn't it true that in Chicago renters don't pay water? Why here MDA charges residents water every month? Did I mention I lived in a small studio? For this size of a room, I am paying this much? Crazy Overall, the mgmt here just charge you unreasonably and try to squeeze every sip of juice out from the residents. Now let's talk about the quality of the Anit. First off, windows are so heavy that you pretty much can never open them. I tried once and finally lifted it open, but then realize now my window was skewed to one side and I was afraid it would fall and hit pedestrians...Such shameful design. Second, horrible ventilation system. EVERY SINGLE DAY I smell smoke and/or weeds in my bathroom - some neighbor(s) must have been smoking in their room and the smell leaks to my room through the air vent. I let property mgmt know and guess what, nothing changed. There's so much more to complain, but my wrist is too tired from typing. Best advice, stay away. Shame on the mgmt

Everything from this Auite experience was awful. I don't recommend this apt. First day move-in, I wasn't welcomed and even had a argument with office lady. I reserved the elevator but there's no one in the front desk and no one knows in the office know that I am moving in. People in the office, they don't know what they are doing and everyone told me different policy and change their words every time. Even window was broken but they said the window isn't built to open. But before I moved in, I asked them can I open the window and they said yes. And window is still not fixed. I don't recommend this place. Find other place even you have to pay little more.

location's Astounding, easy access to public transportation. Close to a lot of restaurants, cafes and stores. Just a short walk to the River Walk and Millenium Park. Community wise safety with packages delivery, great neighbors and not too loud. Office mgmt are easy to reach.

I have been renting a two-bedroom Alat in MDA City Apartments for nearly six months now, and I must say that everything has been great. The Bomplex itself could not be any better - the staff is friendly, location-wise, it's unbeatable, and the amenities are great, especially the rooftop. The Alat itself is a two bedroom, two bath, with a full size kitchen. The bedrooms are a nice size, the bathrooms are huge, and the kitchen has modern appliances and a granite-top island, which adds nicely to the common space. If You've got ever any issues, the maintenance staff is quick to respond and is always helpful. I have no reservations in recommending this Bomplex to anyone - I really have nothing bad to say. If you work in the Loop (like myself), MDA City Apartments is a awesome spot to live: clean, modern, easy, and overly accomodating.

Im excited for the amenities, but I don't think it makes sense to close the sky park dog area after 11 and It's really far from the historic Bacility. Also, the fireplace upstairs broken or It's unclear how to use it.

location's amazing and value for living in the Loop. I experienced a few hiccups in terms of Anit cleanliness upon move in but no other issues so far. I hope that mgmt remedies my situation soon.
