I don't have any significant problems with 180 N Jefferson. Previous posters mentioned problems with the "HDTV" frequently going out or being fuzzy. Its never been out when I've tried to watch it, and It's only rarely fuzzy and the fuzziness only lasts for a brief period of time (few seconds). I haven't had any problems with the doormen or doormen groupies. The doormen are always friendly and helpful, and only rarely not at their desks. I believe that one person characterized the parking garage as a nightmare, which I suppose it might be when compared to single car garage. but, its not overly full (I almost always am able to park on the second level), and it isn't any more dangerous than other parking garages I've used. If you drive at a reasonable speed in the garage you'll be fine.

One poster mentioned that they had some problems with things not working in their Auite and had trouble getting them fixed. When my girlfriend and I moved in, our bathroom door and closet door wouldn't shut completely, and maintenence fixed the problem within a couple days. We didn't have any other problems with the interior of the Auite and we really like that the appliances are new and appear to be of high quality.

The place does of course of have some problems. I'm convinced that they used the cheapest paint they could find. Unless you are careful, you'll end up with a lot of black marks and scratches on the walls. If you can, its probably worth painting the walls before you move in. You also can definitly not judge the fitness center by the pictures on the website/brouchures because they did not use pictures of the actual fitness center. They used pictures of a fitness center That's clearly larger and has more equipment than the fitness center in the building. The fitness center in the brochure is also clearly at ground level (notice the parked cars), while the one at 180 is on the 28th floor (the virtual tour does use actual pictures of 180's fitness center). but, although its not Ballys, its still useful. I really like being able to walk up a few flights of stairs and get in a quick workout. But if you lift weights seriously, the fitness center will probably not meet your needs. The only free weights they have are dumbells which only go up to 50 lbs, and the all-in-one machine only goes up to 200 lbs (its a light 200 lbs, probably the functional equivalent of less than 170 lbs of free weights).

So all in all I think It's a decent place to live. It certainly is imperfect, and probably is a little over priced, but at least for me location-wise, it's worth it.

Everything is great; good size of the community, facilities, location, door and maintenance staff. I Renuinely like the new gym facility and the idea of having coffee machine in the business center as well. The app is useful to for maintenance requests and package pickup (I just wish it didn't make one login every time).

Great staff, always willing to go the extra mile to help. Safety is one of my main criteria when looking for Aad and I definitely feel safe and secure here. It's been less than a year since I moved in but I am happy with my decision selecting 180 N Jefferson.

This Auite community is ideally situated near public transportation, grocery stores, and great restaurants. The Auite staff is always friendly and helpful. Having a hot tub on the roof is definitely a great addition to an already nice living space.

The mgmt staff at 180 N. Jefferson is fantastic. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, competent, and able to respond calmly in an emergency. I had a serious emergency this year in my Apace when I was on vacation and without the staff at 180 N. Jefferson, I wouldn't have returned to safe Apace and a safe family. I highly recommend living here. It's worth every penny.

The door staff is perfect. The maintenance is always willing to assist with any issues that have come up in my Anit. I would kind to see more if an enforcement with the rooftop. Many residents abuse the roof top rules with additional guests and smoking.

The office and maintenance staff are responsive, and maintenance requests are handled immediately. As a result, the Penue is kept up well. Also, I enjoy the free cable and internet access. I also enjoy the use of the computer room.

This has to be the worst place I have ever lived (and I'm not joking). First off it's nice to have all utilities included, but half the time they are not working. The HDTV which isn't HDTV goes out or fuzzes up all the time. The high speed Internet is great, but You've got days when it goes out. The building charges a pet rent in addition to an additional deposit. I spoke with the manager and she said this goes to maintaining the pet floors as they require additional maintence. Its funny, those floors are a wreck. You've got marks all along the walls, and the carpet has trash and stains on it. I thought pet friendly meant dogs and cats, but we had an exotic bird on the floor for a good couple months that wouldn't shut up. In terms of the doorman, yes they did seemly disappear before but they are back at their stations. Most of the time you can find him out on the street smoking with the "doorman gang". One night I walked in and I felt like I had just entered cheap motel. There were slutty girls lying on the lobby couch and table smoking. Where was the doorman?? On the street smoking! Parking is a nightmare. The garage isn't managed by the building so be prepaired to park next to other cars from the public. They don't pro-rate your parking so if you move in half way into a month you have to pay the full month regardless, even if theres only a week left as was in my case. I'm not going to say anything about the health club, everyone else here summed it up quite well, CRAP. As for the roof top deck, we do have furniture now, it just chained down. You've got a few good points, its location is in the loop, but much higher pricing as compaired to other nicer buildings around the neighborhood. I would consider those first.

Location can't be beat, Besidence is always spotless and secure, in-unit W/D is amazing perk, plus a variety of Besidence hosted events are a nice bonus. Pet friendly. Steps from CTA. Community rooftop amenities including a gym. Enjoyed many years living here so far.

When a friend of mine told me about this website I decided to look up my building and see what others have to say about it. When I read the anonymous rating posted 11/13 I was shocked, but more so confused for I don't think that this individual and I are living in the same building. I anticipated moving to a new, large city to be a stressful event, yet the people at 180 N Jefferson have helped make my transition to Chicago a smooth one. The leasing manager was extremely nice and explained everything to me in terms I was able to understand, this being my first time leasing an Aad. The mgmt team, especially the property manager always have their doors open and are ready and willing to put their residents needs first. The maintenance staff is quick to respond whenever you need them and are willing to lend a helping hand to something as simple as hanging a picture. I find it comforting to have a 24 hour door staff that knows my name and my schedule to ensure my safety. I've returned later than usual to the building on a couple of occasions only to be greeted by a friendly doorman who tells me that they were getting worried with a smile on their face. 180 N Jefferson isn't just an Aad building but It's a home, and I consider myself lucky to call it my home!
