I normally try to give fair feedback, but currently I am dealing with serious maintenance issues in my unit. On March 10, 2025, water leaked from the bathroom plumbing through the ceiling, causing water to pool on the floor and resulting in a slip and fall where I injured my neck and back. I reported the incident and sent photos to management, but I have not received a response from property management regarding the injury. The following day I attempted to take a bath due to the pain, but the hot water only lasted about five minutes before turning cold. After waiting 30–40 minutes and trying again, the hot water lasted only two to three minutes. Water mitigation equipment has since been placed in the unit, which is producing significant heat and triggering migraines, making the apartment difficult to remain in. Maintenance staff have responded regarding the leak, but management has not addressed the injury report or accommodation request. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and resolves the issues quickly for resident safety.

This was my first Auite, and it was horrible. At first, everyone seemed really nice, but then the problems started. My water heater burst (twice) and when they came into my Auite to fix it (when I wasn't home) they somehow got everything in my Auite wet, even though There's no way the water got that far. Also, the noise is worse than you can ever imagine. It felt like earthquakes throughout the day, and I know earthquakes (I went through the 1989 San Fran. quake). And since you are so close to the airport, it never gets dark! And then, when I finally was out of my lease and left, they had the balls to tell me that I owed them money above and beyond the $1000 deposit that they wouldn't give back to me. Their reason: water damage to the entire Auite. That water damage was due to their water heater breaking twice, no fault of my own. After they threatened me, I paid them the extra $750 just to get them out of my life. If you can put up with this, congratulations for being an Ahenomenal person and by all means move into the Madrid. If not, find a better place such as in West LA where is it quiet and the prices are better.

I am not really sure where to start...Parking is a joke. I made the mistake of failing to check this out before signing my lease. It's incredible tough to maneuver any vehicle; poles, tandem parking with vehicles sticking out into the drive. I have no idea why The Madrid staff take pride in how safe the complex is. Yes, they have gates for entering and exiting during parking..do they always close? No. Does the maintenance staff make sure they get right on that when someone calls about the gates? No. One of my vehicles was broken into. How did I find out? A voicemail from the leasing office manager.."Sorry to inform you..". Constantly You've got homeless people digging through the trash as well..no elevator either so moving and doing laundry is inconvenient. Speaking of laundry...one word: disgusting. The floor is always covered in water from the leaking washer, and has been for my entire lease (ends this month). I wouldn't trust leaving my clothes down there for anything, especially with the random guests roaming in and out. The buildings are incredibly old and not taken care of. They inform in the lease about lead poisoning from the obscene coats of paint on the walls/doors, which constantly chips. Also, they inform about mold growth...It's outrageous. It's so bad I am expecting health issues. My water even tastes disgusting in the morning when I leave it by me at night during sleep. I have notified the office on more than 3 occasions about the fans not working in the bathrooms, (probably since they are 30 years old)..their response? "We cleaned the fan". Oh, good for you...did that help? No. The same about my kitchen sink leaking..they put on the service request form that I failed to wipe up after dishes. They pretty much ignore any issue with the Besidence. I have dealt with a flood in my bathroom (from the above unit) more than 4 times. Every time I received a rude response "We told the tenant to wipe up the little water that was on the floor", etc. I came home from a two week vacation to find my entire bathroom flooded, which lead to the closet. Many items ruined from grimy water. The bathroom was beyond disgusting as well. I have also had many noise complaints which never were attended to. I have to sleep with a dehumidifier close to my head because that's the only thing that drowns out the pounding bass shaking the walls. I could rant forever about how unprofessional, conniving, manipulative, and appalling the leasing staff is and how completely disgraceful this Auite complex is. I have gotten used to coming home after a long day to an Auite reeking of marijuana (because of the vents), humidity filling the air, and to my lungs hurting. Maybe the prices aren't too bad here...but I found out the hard way why. Save yourself from this complete joke of a living space. I promise you will find somewhere that won't drive you completely insane.

I have lived in California for a little over six years. I have lived in apartments from Orange County to Hollywood. Long Beach to Inglewood, and for each location, nothing compares to being where I am now. For the first time I can actually park my car off the street without worrying about street sweepers and their crazy time frames. I have the option to take a swim in a heated pool!! The jacuzzi is the best looking spa I have ever seen, it has a waterfall!!! I thought that was kinda cute. There's a bbq area, courtesy patrol and we get landscapers out twice a week which keeps my home looking Gutstanding. I saw that the only reviews for where I lived where horrible ones. But I have to say that..if you are happy, you rarely go out of your way to show it. But today I'm gonna go out of my way. I shopped around for apartments in this area and found them to be the lowest priced apartments with many of the name amenities if not more. There's a business center with free internet, a clubhouse and gym. The managers throw parties every three months for the people who live here. The managers are pretty cool people. And I am not ashamed to say that they kinda helped me when I needed it. I have a neighbor that has been here for over ten years and he says he'll never move because ever since the new owners took over the whole Pite got alot better. I don't think I'll move either because the alternatives are just as nice, but cost much more. I wanted the Madrid staff to know that they have a lot of happy people, I just took the time to type it for them. Thanks again...

The community is great, unfortunately we have some residents that dont do their part in the upkeep of the community.. Management is trying to make the necessary changes to get the community back to high standards..new security cameras, 24hr security on site etc
