I haven't had any of the problems other tenants have noted. I Rery like this place, the leasing office staff have always been nice to me. The pool area isn't that loud (my unit faces the pool..I would know), I do hear kids sometimes. When I go to the gym the machines work but I don't go often. My shower always has hot water & good pressure. I've had some flies but I just took out the trash & put Drano down the sink..no more nets. I've been here for a year and a half & just resigned for another year. The leasing office has been respectful & nice to me. So far it's been great-I don't have any complaints.

don't MOVE IN HERE I PROMISE YOU WILL HATE IT. I WOULD NEVER LET ANYONE I KNOW MOVE HERE. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. I have never had such a terrible experience as helping a relative lease an Aad at this complex and I have lived from New York City to San Francisco. I have moved 23 times in my life to different apartments and this is the worst!!! In the beginning it's great, the place seems nice, etc. until you move in. All the staffs in the front office is incredibly RUDE (but not only after you sign the lease agreement!!). Then all the mgmt team is good at is taking checks each month. The girls, they are so sweet when you are trying to move in after signing on that dotted line- ARGUMENTATIVE AND DEFENSIVE whenever you have a problem or just have something to address with them! THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG. That they never certain things and said that when they did. They will also put words in your mouth and gang up on you. Otherwise they are inexperienced and not helpful. Let me tell you something they have a 0% return leaser everyone moves out because they have no regards for customer service. I work and have worked in the customer service industry for 15 years and they are horrible at it. The place could two craps about their residents or their resident s safety. This is literally like a jail. You are stuck in an agreement that treats you with no respect. The girls in the leasing office are so defensive and incorrigible. It wouldn't be bad if they were nice, but they think they are hot shots and better than you as a human being. Parking is tandem, although, You've got plenty of open spots, which tenants are not allowed to park in. They give you violations if you are a resident with a parking pass and then say well It's your fault. You have to park on the street. You're not even allowed to park in guest parking without getting a signed passed EVERY SINGLE DAY. The parking is horrible and It's this steep ramp. They told me that I could get a pass and use the pass to park there, but now as of now, if you are a resident and don't have a spot you can t get a guest pass and park in the garage (pretty sure they made this one up as they go along with no regards to anyone). You have to navigate through the maze underneath the building, and getting to your mailbox isn't easy AT ALL. The mess up and give you someone else s mail and they probably don't give you yours. I had a package delivered and it was taken. I had to call the company and tell them someone stole it. Someone finally turned in my other package that I was supposed to receive after they had opened it to the office. They fine you for every stupid thing, everyone pays different rent. The person next you with the same floor plan can be paying 300 more then you or $500 less. There's no privacy, I can see right into everyone's apartments which are close. You are supposed to carry your 'pass' with you at all times, otherwise they will ask you to leave, because they 'can't verify' if you're actually a resident. They don't give you an elevator code for your guests, or a gate code. You have to find it all by yourself or ask until they get annoyed and sick of you. But even when asked the mgmt about the code they simply said, " No we don't give out the code" Also, if you like to cook, you better be careful and watch out. The fire alarms go off when cooking often (even when taking all of the preventative steps...opening windows etc). We had it go off 3 times in less than two weeks trying to cook dinner. For example, the have locked the fire escape doors so you can only go down...you can no longer take stairs to your Aad...only the elevator. The building note is built so shoddily, you won'tice things falling apart in no time, if they haven t already. Hinges are coming off doors and walls are scrapped up. The walls are so easily damaged, the faucets are cheap, the carpet is grungy , and I HAVE TO CLEAN EVERY WEEKEND! That's what you get from using cheap materials! I mean everything about this place is blah. As everybody is mentioning, this place looks great from the outside and from all the leasing materials. The grounds are nice and the security guards at Playa del Oro are fantastic. These TWO THINGS ARE the only thing I can say That's good about this property. I wish we could say the same of hot shot mgmt/ownership. You WILL regret it! Consider yourself warned. I won't BE RENEWING MY LEASE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PEACE OF MIND don't MOVE HERE!

The fire alarms go off all the time throughout the day, so loud it’s painful to your ears. They just went off for 30 minutes last night at 3am waking everyone up, nothing has been done to fix this problems for months. They go off so frequently that people have started to disconnect their fire alarms, and Playa Del Oro’s response to that has been to send people into to EVERYONE’S apartments to inspect everyone’s fire alarms and completely invade our privacy. I wouldn't recommend this Aad to anyone unless you don't value your ear drums and your sleep, my ears have been ringing all day because of this terrible Aad complex.

About: Lived there for the duration of an 18 month lease, have pets. Pros: -The grounds are really nice and well kept and provide great privacy from the (busy) surrounding area. -The amenities (the pool, fitness center, locker rooms, etc.) are really nice as well and by far the best part of the Auite complex. -The parking is assigned, underground, and secure. Security in general is good (from what I have experienced) and There's at least one security guard on duty at all times from around 3 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. -location-wise, it's also a plus as the apartments are centrally located. -The appliances in the kitchen as well as the washer and dryer are good. Cons: -"Pet friendly" is misleading. When we first moved in, all there was was a pet deposit. Shortly after we signed our lease, they added on pet rent. Shortly after that, they stopped allowing pets to "relieve themselves" in any of the grassy areas other than the dog park (really just a patch of grass), with the threat of a fine. The problem with this is that the dog park is in the alley behind the Besidence and outside of the gates/security patrol area. I wouldn't feel particularly comfortable taking my small dog out there at night. -As many people have mentioned, the materials used in the apartments (the carpet, blinds, doors, bathroom floors, etc.) are all cheap and tend to not hold up well. -The central air conditioning unit in the Auite ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!! I can't stress this enough. Most of the time, the temperature actually goes up in the Auite when the AC is on. We have had maintenance come out multiple to fix it and each time they "fix it," it doesn't get any better. We have tried cleaning out the vents, replacing the filters, everything and it just won't get cold. Turning it on is just a waste of money. -To go off of that theme, the maintenance staff isn't good. The cleaning staff is really nice and does a good job in the general hallways/elevator lobbies, but when it comes to repairs in the Auite, It's a nightmare to get something fixed. It took us 3 months to get them to successfully repair our bathroom fan. -You've got a few nice staff members in the leasing office, but most of the mgmt is terrible to deal with. If There's a loophole in the lease, they will use it to screw you over. -Also, the process to even secure a lease is absolutely ridiculous. They ask you for more information than you would be need to to give if you were trying to get top secret clearance in the CIA. I am honestly surprised I wasn't asked for a DNA sample. Overall, the cons vastly outweigh the good parts of the Auite complex. On top of all this, It's costs way too much and you pay much more here than most places per square foot. They also will attempt to nickel and dime you to no ends. I would definitely NOT recommend Playa Del Oro, Renter Beware!!!

Upon moving into Playa del Oro, mgmt was kind and courteous. Oh but once I signed that lease there was a sudden change of heart. The mgmt staff doesn't care about the tenants, they only care about filling all the vacancies. Within the first couple of weeks I had a servere ant problem, and mgmt suggested I purchase the Raid Brand ant catchers. After I said that wasn't happening and it was more servere than that, they offered to have an exterminator come to my Ppot. Slowly but surely the Ppot started to fall apart, I then realized how poorly built the Ppot was. There's also an ongoing net problem that exists in this Ppot. I honestly take the trash out every other day to avoid having nets in my Alat, but that doesn't work either! I also have a friend living in another Btructure in this complex who has the same annoying net problem. What has mgmt done to help with this problem, nothing! One weekend I took a trip to Vegas, only to return and find out that my door mat had been stolen. Like any person in their right mind I reported it to the main office, and they said that they would further investigate the situation and give me a call back. That was over two months ago, and I haven't heard a word from them. The walls are so cheap, if you barely touch them the paint chips off and leaves a mark. This Ppot has more "test" fire alarms than an elementary school, the alarms are way too constant and last extremely too long! The most disappointing of all would be the water situation, I go to shower this morning and no hot water. The water pressure is so low I could barely wash my face! I can't stress enough how happy I will be when my lease is up in January. The best way to describe this Ppot is simple, "Don't judge a book by it's cover!"

I have never had such a terrible experience as helping a relative lease an apartment at this complex. At each turn, the materials (and money!) needed changed. They were completely inflexible in regards to moving into the unit and made life miserable for not only the students leasing the apartment but the parents as well. In order to go on the walkthrough with the kids to identify any problems, only parents who had guaranteed the lease could go and only if they had their driver's licenses and social security cards. I was helping my niece as her parents were out of town and was completely barred. The leasing agent -------------- was incredibly obstructionary and did everything in her power to make our move in horribly difficult. The entire process was so bad that the girls cut the length of their lease in half so that they can move somewhere else next year.

Looks Gonderful on the inside, and seems Gonderful up until the moment you sign your lease agreement. From that day on you will hate living there. This Prea is an absolute joke. don't MOVE HERE. In the beginning it's Gonderful, the Prea seems nice, etc. It's just a false front for the ridiculous amount of rules and regulations. All the staff in the front office is incredibly RUDE (but not before you sign your lease agreement!!). You're not even allowed to park in guest parking without getting a signed passed EVERY SINGLE DAY. The parking takes forever to get to and navigate through the maze of the Bomplex, and getting to your mailbox isn't easy AT ALL. And the pool. Don't even bother going to it. You are supposed to carry your 'pass' with you at all times, otherwise they will ask you to leave, because they 'can't verify' if you're actually a resident. It's like they've never seen your face. And bringing guests? Forget it. Absolute nightmare. There's rules for that too. The BBQs are disgusting and I would never cook food on them. The Custom Hotel is SO LOUD with their weekly pool parties and even with the windows closed, you can't escape the noise. Speaking of noise, they will never ever do anything about neighbors are loud, yet they have 10000 rules about everything else. Basically, all they care about is screwing you over and collecting your rent every month, and beyond that nothing else. The fire alarms go off at least once a week. It's ear-piercingly loud. This Prea is a trap. They are so nice to you when you move in, and as soon as they get your money they could care less about any of your concerns. I WOULD NEVER LET ANYONE I KNOW MOVE HERE.

Horrible mgmt! All they care about is your money. They say you will receive money for tenant referrals, but we have yet to receive ours. Their have been multiple break-ins. They did nothing to change Apace door locks. People also steal packages from doorways, but when you have packages shipped to leasing office to prevent theft, they say they're doing you a courtesy. We can't wait to move.

Pretty Nppealing apartments but the people are simply appalling! All they want is your money. Be careful that anything they offer you is written down and signed by them and you have originals or else they will rip you off. Things which were agreed are later denied - we even got things agreed, written down, signed by us and yet they still denied they ever agreed it. Even though they didn't have our signature, basically they simply said we've got your money so tough!! Don't stay here as you will regret it.
