“Pros: Elevator, large rooms, no problems with heat/hot water, VERY responsive effective super, love the neighborhood. Cons: Garbage and pest management has not always been stellar; packages occasionally get stolen from the mailbox area; landlord can be hard to get a hold of.”
— 105 PINEHURST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Location to train Cons: Everything No water pressure. My gf literally takes a bowl with her to shower to collect enough water to wash/rinse her hair. The heat only comes on after filing complaint at nyc.gov. And after a few days heat will go off, then you have to file another complaint before heat comes back on. The idea of actually sweeping the main floors doesn't apply; just wipe over the dirt with a mop. Every direction you look there's dirt corroding the halls along with tiles breaking every where. The Super, well he works for the man, and every interaction with him projects that. Owners are horrible. These are people who literally were sued and lost a tenant case because they tried to evict while she was and did die from cancer because she had an emotional support dog while she was dying. NYC really needs to figure out a way for tenants to be able to screen owners before we rent from them... Advice to landlord: You might want to try acting like you're a human being and not treat tenants like we are NOTHING but your meal ticket.”
— 105 PINEHURST AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Great bldg Super Cons: Dealing w/unresponsive management Advice to landlord: Buy a mop and some tile cleaner. Might try responding to tenants vs forcing tenants to have to seek .gov support to resolve issues. Might consider treating tenants like people vs adversaries.”
“Pros: Mad big elevator Cons: Bennet Park gets noisy Advice to landlord: Keep up the good work”
