“Unit 2R Pros: The place itself was super great with nice neighbors, peephole, no pests, responsive super, etc Cons: Were not super efficient with getting things replaced if needed.”

“Pros: Gorgeous, huge space Cons: You can hear your neighbor upstairs sneeze. It’s insane. One of the rooms isn’t insulated at all. We had multiple sewage floods while we lived there from a problem with piping that management wouldn’t fix. Tons of spiders and centipede.”

“Unit 1a Pros: the building itself is fine. there are no amenities whatsoever and they don't keep up with cleaning the stairs/roof, but if your unit itself does not have an immediate problem then it is comfortable and easy to maintain. the closet space and new bathrooms are a huge benefit that i found worth it Cons: management is highly unresponsive and inconsistent, the super was EXTREMELY unresponsive but he was replaced upon my move out. the location is not unsafe at all, but for brooklyn it feels very isolated from food, stores, etc. all in all, it is worth it if the unit is cheap or you are splitting rent. Advice to landlord: respond to smaller/surface upkeep more often and the building would be very impressive”

“Pros: Modern units and small size of building Cons: The management company is terrible and incompetent. The building and apartments are missing many required items per 311. Despite multiple complaints, the building management does not rectify any issue. I would not recommend living here.”

“Pros: - great neighborhood & great neighbors - never worried about stolen packages - great schools - family friendly neighborhood - great strips of bars and restaurants. Cons: - right by a freeway very loud all the time. - the quality of management just is not there. Literally non-responsive. - Worse super I’ve ever dealt with. We had to convince him that we had no hot water. - unreliable train lines - Super expensive(Carroll gardens in general) Advice to landlord: With higher prices should come quality not greed.”

“Unit 2 Pros: honestly nothing lol Cons: The landlords do not manage the property whatsoever. No responsiveness to maintenance requests, the front door lock would malfunction all the time locking tenants out, and pests were out of control.”

“Pros: The only good thing about this apartment is the water pressure in the shower Cons: The walls are paper thin and the aparment skews younger so be prepared to hear loud music. The trash maintenence ... there is none. There's always trash outside. On top of that, my roommates and I keep the apartment as clean as possible and yet we've seen roaches in our unit and several time times in hallway and we can't help but think it's a building fault. This apartment is overpriced for a not well maintained building.”

“Pros: Great touches, tall ceilings, lots of natural light. Cons: Small rooms, takes management a long time to fix issues, they’re gonna try to raise your rent 20-30% with no heads up.”

“Unit 3R Pros: Ive lived here for two years with my roommate and have enjoyed it. Great neighbors, has everything I was looking for - washer/dryer in unit, A/C and dishwasher. Access to rooftop with tables and chairs. 1 minute walk to train. Quiet area Cons: No complaints other than water getting too hot at times and sink clogging”

“Pros: the shared rooftop and basement laundry is nice Cons: the building is not secure at all. packages are stolen from inside almost daily. people break in through the roof and basement to steal and squat. know your rights, because management won’t respect them. last minute requests for access at all hours of the day, with no justification. unprofessional building was destabilized some years back but does not actually meet the requirements for destabilization. greedy owner and sleazy management Advice to landlord: upgrade security, fix management”

“Unit 2L Pros: nothing at all Cons: “luxury” apartment that had not been painted, broken dishwasher, broken central air, broken mailbox, broken freezer, broken shower drain upon move in. landlords hostile from the moment I signed my lease. stay far far away. Advice to landlord: do better”

“Unit 1 Pros: Great location. Old works charm. Cons: Landlord is dishonest and has anger management issues. Heat insufficient in winter, no garbage management. No super (former one loves illegally in basement and sold crack, still lives in owner’s other building around corner) Advice to landlord: Figure it out.”

“Pros: Rooftop, laundry, neighborhood Cons: The building got broken into while I was there, and my things were stolen out of the storage unit. The rooftop is beautiful but the trash was never taken out so a lot of pests and flies. The walls are super thin, you can hear conversations from next door. The rooms are VERY TINY. Advice to landlord: Take cleanliness and security of tenants more seriously.”

“Pros: Lots of character, spacious, good outdoor space, nice quiet street. Cons: Was not move-in ready at the time of our move. They had to do plenty of work days into our lease start and it took about 2 weeks after moving to even get a key to the apartment. Advice to landlord: Check units for cleaning/repairs before a new tenant moves in.”

Free laundry and a free parking spot Cons: My lease was up March 1st and I moved half my stuff out on February 15, on or about February 25 they decided to take it upon themselves to throw out the rest of my belongings. Without a text call or email. Advice to landlord: Have WAY better communication”

“Pros: Nice modern building good location Cons: the owners are horrible and unresponsive. Took months to get back my security deposit after calling every week. Owners take very long to respond to maintenance requests. They also take very long to approve new tenant applications and will not step in to fill empty rooms. Owner called and harassed us during covid pandemic. They will try to steal every dime from your deposit so make sure to take a picture of the check and get everything in writing. Advice to landlord: Answer the phone and stop being greedy.”
