“Buildings and apts are roach infested and the elevator is constantly stuck creating a dangerous situation particularly for the elderly and physically challenged. The service response to service elevator is horrible and it’s almost impossible to place complaint with live personnel, which show no empathy for your situation.”

“I was forced to buy a $549 air conditioner then I had to pay them $146 to install it because you are not allowed to get an outside contractor and they give you an appointment for dam near a month to install the air conditioner. They do better because it is a health issue when your apartment is too hot. I don't understand how they think it's okay to have tenants in this heatwave to suffer if they are the only ones that haveto install it it should be installed once the installation fee is paid, not wait weeks to install it.”

“Current and Future tenants beware My family has resided in Parkchester for over 30 years in a rent stabilized apartment. Well 3 years ago I made a complaint on a similar website about the poor maintenance of elevators and increased Vernon and insects. They in turn decided to retaliate in covert ways to constructively push my family out of our dwelling. In addition to the increased insects they have individuals placing a foul smelling substance in front of our apartment daily. They moved in new tenants above, below and adjacent to me that pound on the walls at random times during the day. My packages and grocery deliveries have been stollen within minutes of drop off. Parkchester security claims they have no video of anyone leaving with the items which leads me to believe it is a neighbor residing in the building, perhaps compensated with a discount on rent to harass my family. The police will not assist with landlord issues which allows them to continue these illegal and harassing tactics. My pipes began rattling 3 weeks ago when I turn on the hot water and on several occasions when I left my apartment I returned to damaged doorknobs, switched out peephole glasses, damaged intercom and other items within my home. The following day I get a call from parkchester to repair a door knob I never called in as damaged. Please beware of the illegal practices, invasion of privacy and harassment here. If you have experienced any of this I urge you to contact your local politicians and record the incidents. There is strength in numbers!”

“Melanie at the leasing office is rude and does the bare minimum. Was first offered the worst apartment they had. Emailed the Dept of Ops Carlos and he hasn't mentioned a word to help with my move in issues. Please do not move here. It may be cheap but it's cheap because the staff isn't professional or don't now how to do their jobs. The first apartment that was offered to me was roach infested, leaking AC UNITs, far from my requested location, peeling paint and holes all through the walls. I was this was the only unit before I saw but When I turned down the apartment they magically had another. It's truly insane what they are doing with their new tenants and they definitely leadership change if we want our community to thrive and be successful...”

“This is by far the worse place that one can live in! They're disgusting, rude, and pass the buck to every other department. They inconvenience you at every turn. I called 311 on them for a leak and now they are harassing me so that their violation can be closed, or course with tape so that it can just happen again at a later date. There are roaches, spiders, you name it, it's there. I'd rather pay extra money somewhere else for better living conditions. Even some of the workers for the building do not live at Parkchester because it trash. Just a few more months, then I'm running out of here to something better. Never been so miserable with the place I lay to rest.”

“I'M HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN MOVING HERE, ITS NOT EVEN A YEAR & I'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBOR BLASTING MUSIC ON REPEAT WITH LOUD BASS, OF COURSE PUBLIC SAFETY WAS CALLED FINALLY AFTER 2 -3 MONTHS AFTER ME COMPLAINING TO THEIR SUPPOSEDLY COMMUNITY AFFAIRS OF WHY THEY'RE NOT DOING THE PROPER INVESTIGATION OF WHO IS PLAYING LOUD BASS MUSIC FROM 6AM TO 5AM THE NEXT DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK, I HAVE A 1 BEDROOM THAT I CAN'T ENJOY BECAUSE THIS OLD GUY HAS HIS WHOLE CLUB LOUNGE SPEAKERS HIDDEN IN HIS BEDROOM WHERE IM SUPPOSED TO SLEEP, NOW I SLEEP IN THE LIVING ROOM ON MY COUCH WHICH I SHOULDN'T, SO AFTER ALL THAT THEY FINALLY FOUND OUT IT WAS NEIGHBOR DOWNSTAIRS BLASTING MUSIC. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THAT I WAS INFORMED BY PRIOR TENANT WHEN I CAME TO TAKE A LOOK AT APT, WAS TOLD ABOUT UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOR THIS GRANDMOTHER BABYSITS HER 4 GRANDKIDS EVERY WEEKEND. OH BOY, LITERALLY THESE KIDS JUMP NON STOP, SHAKING MY CEILING, SHAKING THE MICROWAVE IN THE KITCHEN THATS INSTALLED ON WALL, THAT NEIGHBOR HAS NO CONTROL OF HER GRANDKIDS, YES THEIR SECURITY WAS CALLED AGAIN SAYING THEY GOT A CARPET SUMMONS UPSTAIRS BUT STILL WE DONT HEAR ANY CARPET INSTALLATION BUT WHEN I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT NEIGHBOR DOWNSTAIRS LOUD MUSIC NON STOP ON REPEAT CLEARLY PEOPLE GO ON A DRUG BINGE HERE, THE OWNER GOT A CARPET SUMMONS BUT THE ONES THAT ARE CAUSING THE NOISE, DOWNSTAIRS & UPSTAIRS NOTHING HAS BEEN CORRECTED. SO YES DO NOT MOVE HERE, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE PEACE & QUIET WHILE STAFF HERE TALKS TO YOU AS IF THEY'RE DOING YOU A FAVOR OR PAYING YOUR RENT & BILLS OR SOMETHING, THEY ARE STRAIGHT IGNORANT & RUDE. THE OTHER THING I'VE NOTICED WHICH I NEVER EXPERIENCED IN OTHER APTS, IS THAT U CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FLOORS ARE PAPER THIN, PLUS DIDN'T KNOW NEIGHBORS HAVE THE SAME CLOCKWORK BLADDER, EVERYTIME U USE THE BATHROOM & FLUSH, SOMEONE UPSTAIRS OR DOWNSTAIRS A SECOND LATER FLUSHES AT THE SAME TIME WHICH IS VERY ODD TO ME, IT DOES NOT FAIL NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT & FOR MAINTENANCE REPAIRS, LEAKS, BROKEN PIPES, SERVICE DEPT WILL TELL U 4 TO 6 WEEKS TO GET REPAIRED. JUST CALL 311 & FDNY THOSE ARE THE ONLY ONES THEY'LL LISTEN TO!!!! BUT PLEASE DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE. IM WAITING FOR MY LEASE TO BE UP & BOUNCE!”

“Honestly and literally speaking, the picture doesn’t look justice. What’s advertised online is totally different from living in these apartments. There’s constant kitchen and bathroom repair throughout the year. Paint peeling off, tiles collapsing from bathroom wall , kitchen sink clogging and hot water shutdown sometimes.Just to make an appointment, you have to be put on hold for 45mn then after two weeks management will send an inspector to perform a visual inspection and 3 weeks later start repair.”

“I am the owner of an apartment in Parkchester South. The water leaking started 2 weeks ago from the ceiling and wall in the bathroom. This leaking is much worse now. The water is dripping from the ceiling and wall of bathroom and bedroom, caused the damage of the paint and carpets, have to clean the floor a few time a day. Called management office three times. The inspector said that waiting list for plumber would be a couple of weeks. It just can not tolerate in the hot summer time with foul smell in the apartment. We pay over $700 maintenance fee a month. That is the service we are getting now.”

“I AM A NEW TENANT SINCE 5/23/21, AND HONESTLY I WISH I WOULD'VE SEEN MORE REVIEWS BEFORE MOVING IN. BEFORE MOVING IN I WAS PROMISED MY MINOR ISSUES WOULD BE FIXED AND OF COURSE THEY WERE NOT. THE MAINTENANCE SUCKS BEYOND BELIEF. OFFICE STAFF RUSHES YOU OFF THE PHONE, TO THEM I SAY FIND A NEW JOB IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO LISTEN TO TENANTS HOME ISSUES. ALSO WHO EVER OWNS THIS PROPERTY I SAY TO YOU, YOU NEED TO USE ALL THE RENT MONEY YOU COLLECT AND HIRE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CARE AND FOR HARDER/ BETTER MAINTENANCE WORKERS. SERVICE HOLD TIME ON THE PHONE IS RIDICULOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE. FOR ANY NEW TENANTS I TELL YOU. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL FIX YOUR ISSUES BEFORE MOVING IN OR WHEN THEY SAY YOU CAN CALL ME AND I WILL GET IT DONE (ALL LIES). THIS IS NOT A PLACE I WOULD'VE MOVED INTO IF I NEW THE REAL UNPROFESSIONALISM IN ALL STAFF IN PARKCHESTER.”

“Worse place to live ! Ive been dealing with my walls falling apart for more then 5years . It has to do with the outside bricks thats understandable but it doesn't take 3 years to fix the outside walls . Every time it rains walls start to crumble. All they do is fix it and as soon as it rain im back to the same situation. Thats just one of the horrible situation there more then that. Don't let these 5 stars fool you those are people that work there that put those positive reviews. Long story short don't move here its not worth the stress !”

“Don’t move here - it’s beyond beyond noisy, depending on where your apartment windows are located you will hear everything from 4am to 4am (yes AM) the next day, - every few mins there are emergency and Parkchester sirens occurring at all hours. “Emergency” vehicles that park and turn on different tone sirens then leave after a few mins, it’s maddening imagine this being repeated every few minutes - all day and night. Noises or racket stem from - Parkchester workers (they contribute to the noise pollution), garbage disposal, scaffolding installing and removal, sledgehammer sounds which come from no where, leaf and snow blowers left abandoned by workers as they chit chat before returning, motorcycles that use my block as their own personal motor cross, parkchester workers blocking the road to pick up the mountain of garbage (yes mountains or wall of garbage) and cursing out drivers who are trying to pass and the list goes on. In regards to the “wall of garbage” this blocks the street making it impossible to cross the street and you can only imagine the sanitary concerns especially in the summer. I’ve written to local government officials and parkchester and nothing has changed or will change. Only thing left to do for my sanity is to move. If the “Karens” and their spouses were to move into the area, I can only imagine what type of attention they would receive and swift resolving of issues providing a healthier lifestyle for “them”. This is unfortunate but is the reality of this realm. Do.Not.Move Here. You’ve been warned.”

“When I was an owner in Parkchester South Condos , my husband and I really enjoyed it an because of financial reasons and the maintenance fees rising so high we had to move. We now live in Savannah Georgia but we often think about what good times we had in Parkchester. I Cannot forget sitting on the benches there looking at the beautiful Greenery, the lovely flowers in blume and Parchesters beautiful fountain water views. Oh how I enjoyed it! Maintenance was always kept up nicely but once again! The hoa fees kept rising!”

“Terrible! Do not move here. They have keyless entry and you will be locked out of your apartment weekly due to electrical problems!!!!!! If you like living like that then move here. Management never calls back or deals with any complaints! Save your money. Water goes out weekly, leaks throughout the entire building. On the best part is, during COVID 19 they were calling all tenants to make sure they were paying rent on time !!!!”

“I am a condo owner and residing here for 20 years. I am extremely unsatisfied with the approach, attitude and acts of towing companies that Parkchester is contracted with. The tow company is 100% aggressive with tenants, guests and whoever comes this way. I have seen worst, driver with engine on waiting for their partner going to the bank and the tow driver jacks up the car while driver is inside. One good neighbor was protesting and Parkchester security guards were all over him as if he was the criminal. They even handcuffed him because he stood against the atrocities of the tow truck driver. Every time tow truck picks a car, security comes in a dozens as if we pay high common charges to help the tow trucks. Some old time neighbors complained that sometimes the mobile Parkchester security guards even call towns and have them pick up cars and it's a mutual interests sharing. The amount of DPS cars and guards that Parkchester have, I don't think they need tow company. They can do their own policing if then want to and that way keeping the guards occupied instead of goofing around in pairs and groups.”

“It used to be pretty good. I am in 1594 Unionport. Since the block across from me got demolished last year I now have problems. MICE!! Funny thing is I don't even have roaches. I'd take roaches over mice any day. It seems I now catch mice almost every other day for almost a month. Also, Parkchester sucks when it comes to repairing anything. Doorbell doesnt work and i have a hole in my wall because they fixed a plumbing leak but seems I always have to schedule repairs. They don't work weekends. I get in from work well after 2am. Is it fair that i have to wake up early to get them to possibly spend all day to fix something they did? I am not on public assistance, etc. I actually have to do things in an average day and I like to get 6+ hours sleep. They are not very good with repairs at all! Only reason I have not moved is because at this rate to go elsewhere is a pain and 1200 is still better than most, even in the BX.”

“DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE HERE. I've lived here for over 20 years and watched this place go to hell. The biggest issues has to be the noise and the lack of care from management. I live under a family of 5 who for the pass 3 1/2 years have done nothing but made my family and me's life a living hell. Every morning at 5am they make it their duty to stomp across the floors and fight, waking us up. And the weekends are even worst. And don't even think about calling what they consider security cause all they'll tell you is that you have to call them as soon as you hear something so they can hear it. Problem is it takes them an hour to get to your place. And management does as little as possible to resolve the issue unless you take them to court. They are rude to you no matter what. My neighbors are flithy. They leave trash in the compactor for you to dispose of for them. Not to mention steal your packages from in front your door. Also, management charges for every little thing but does nothing to upkeep the buildings. They no longer screen people and let just anyone rent here. And the smoke from people standing in front the building is annoying. The smoke travels all the way up to the 9th floor and consumes your apartment throughout the day. If you can avoid this place please do so. Or if you must then don't stay here for more than 6 months otherwise you'll lose your mind with all the nonsense that goes on here. Finally looking to move from this hell.”

“Parkchester will accept anyone as long as you have a job and proof of income.. So I'm going to give you fine print of things you won't find out until you're already sucked in. 1st if you have a vehicle your asses out. There are NOT enough parking spaces for the amount of residents in the area. You must ALWAYS have your hazard lights on when you are parked in front of your building. Do NOT make the mistake and run upstairs real quick and think Parkchester PD is not downstairs with your car hooked up. Once it's hooked you have to pay on the spot over $100 to get your car back. Keep in mind you are bound to be in this predicament due to the lack of parking that's available. 2nd way back in the days this was a "hood" area. So you will still have noise, the smell of weed people fighting and pissy hallways. The Parkchester area is nice. That has changed. Shopping eating etc. however don't let the water fountain fool you. 3rdly. AIR CONDITIONER!!! Lolol! Their biggest scam yet. They must have something setup with pc Richards cause they will refer you there to get an AC that literally coat over $1,000 no bs. So the windows are specific dimensions. What they won't tell you is that it can be a few inches Smaller and they'll be able to still install. Also you pay for them to install for each room. Also if there is NOT an outlet near the Windows that are built pretty much the same for all apartments. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TO HAVE A TECH COME AND INSTALL AN OUTLET. I believe between $50-100 bucks. Which I think it's ridiculous. Common sense to me is that there would already be one there. Another way to rape Your pockets. The lighting isn't so great. You'll need lamps. The wiring is old in the building. So the AC can not exceed 10,500 BTUs or over 110 volts. The recycling system is ridiculous to me. You have to go damn near down to the park to drop your recycling. Most buildings would have it where the trash compacter is. I personally do not care for the area due to the parking, I feel the super markets are expensive. I've lived in other areas of the Bronx with the same type of markets and noticed the price difference. The water pressure is good. The toilet I like does flush strong. I hate that the bathroom is all green. Could've left it white for all that. The heat in the winter is good although I've heard from others they've had issues where I have not. Also the elevators are slow as ----. But at least there is one. For them to want to charge over $200-500 all because the updated the kitchen has a gooseneck sink and new cabinets is ridiculous. But as long as you know what your getting into and not have to find out once you've signed your life away lol. I guess a good starter apartment. Having multiple parks is a plus if you have children. Oh and the staff are nasty as ---- so I pray you never have to call them cause those ------- act like your living In there house rent free”

“Good place to live short to medium term. Parking is a lil iffy until you fully learn the system. you'll get your drain unclogged in a jiffy, your electrical problem addressed, and water turned off frequently, but never any good notices of preventative maintenance. Good luck getting your apt painted without 3-4 mths notice and 100 calls to the mngt office. “I have lived in Parkchester for Five years. The broker we were paying rent to informed us the apartment was sold and we had to move out. However, we were not told that until my husband went to pay the rent $1060 for a one bedroom and to renew the lease. He was informed that the new owners want their own tenant, and we should now pay $1300 untl he can find us another aparment. Is this legal? My husband said no! we are going to live out the security. I'm scared I am going to come home and find my things thrown out on the curb as I have seen so many times peoples whole household sitting on the curb in the parking area where they put out the trash.”

We have peeping toms coming to our windows on the ground floor almost every week multiple times and security does NOTHING about it but ask for ID and take reports. This has been occuring for years now with multiple people and all my neighbors are going through the same thing as well. I have even caught one playing with his private parts at my window too and same thing they didn't do anything but ask for ID. Also the environment isn't good for little kids or a family. There's too many hoodlums always selling drugs not to mention 2 people have been murdered here in the past 3 years. Also the staff is ------ and unprofessional always with attitude and smart remarks. It is very uncomfortable for me to even get dressed in my own house anymore or sleep at night or in the morning. The rent is not worth it AT ALL... The tenants are ------ and loud always looking for problems. Plus the security choose and pick the people they want to punish... if your on good terms with them. Basically if you want your kids to be raised or yourself experience an obscale projects this is the place to go. Dont let the outside fool you....”

“Beware, parkchester was once a decent place for hard working individuals, the working class. I have seen and witnessed its steady decline over the years. Now it has become a community of the entitled, the "I want to live in a nice neighborhood but don't want to work for it" crowd ( section 8, public assistance). It pains me to see what was once a good area turned into what it is now. Parkchester has a lot of potential but nothing will change until managment changes and the trash that has infested this one decent community is kicked out.”

“I live in Parkchester now, and although I like their maintenance very much, I have to say it is hard living here. NO PARKING -- All the parking is for the employees or Post Office employees. We, the tenants thay pay rent, have long waits waiting for parking in the few free parking zones they have. The cars get towed away for the most insignificant reasons. The kitchens in the regular apartments are so old, you would not believe it. The sinks are pre-historic and the cabinets must date back to the beginning of time. Oh, and don't believe the posters they have in their renting offices saying that the appliances are all new. That is FALSE ADVERTISING. All the appliances are mediocre and REFURBISHED. They DO NOT give you new appliances. And their regulations and fees for some type of services or repairs are OUTRAGEOUS!! They charge the tenants $103.00 to install the air conditioners and if you install them yourself, they fine you. They charge you $37 to open up your door if you get stuck outside without your keys. They charge you $37 to replace the towel racks in the bathrooms. The repair services are offered only on weekdays, so if something needs fixing, you have to be late or out of work for that day. They charge you for weekend repairs.”

“People are tempted to move to parkchester because the rent is a little affordable but once you move here, you realize that you have moved to hell. There is nothing but cars honking and blasting music early in the morning. Hoodlums rapping nonsense outside of your windows so the whole world can here the gibberish. drug dealing on saint raymond avenue and castle hill. Inconsiderate residents who sit on the front steps and smoke cigarettes, god forbid if you live on the first floor, you cannot keep your windows open because the cigarette smoke travels right in. In addition, people from outside of parkchester come in and steal the parking spaces so there are constant fights over that. A huge problem with bed bugs, outdated amenities, I am talking pre-war kitchen sinks and cabinets, roach infestation, so make sure that you bomb your apartment before you move in. Also false advertisement (not all the apartments look like what you see in the ads). And, to let you know through it all, I am still a resident here, living with my husband, and we pay our rent faithfully, never had any qualms with management, but you need to be warned. If you are not about the ------ life, don't move here, and that starbucks on metropolitan avenue is filled with selfish and arguemenatative residents of parkchester who believe that they have a right to sit there all day long, and not allow outside customers to have a seat. “My husband and I both lived in Parkchester for almost 5 years, for 1 -------- bedroom when we first moved there we thought it was the best place in the Bronx to live in.But when we realize it was the worst place in the Bronx. The reason we move out of Parkchester was because the person above us had a washing machine and no carpet in his apartment, and we use to hear the washing machine when he drags it from his bedroom to the kitchen to do his laundry all the time. The subs from the detergent use to come down to the kitchen sink. We have to clean it up every other day, which you not suppose to have a washing machine in Parkchester because it says it on the lease that is why people don't go by the rules and they do what ever they want,he used to wash clothes 2 or 3 'o' clock in the morning on a week day while we are trying to sleep to go to work the next day.But instead we used to go upstairs to his apartment to knock on his door,to complain about the noise.Who ever was living there never open the door. The next day I gave a complain about it to Parkchester, 2 days after someone kicked the door of my apartment and left a dent on the door with their foot print on it.It was the person that was living above us.I got tired of Parkchester of not doing anything about it,I even told the security guard and they didn't do nothing about it also, that is why I would never recommend Parkchester to anyone. This is only happening in the inside of the apartment, now lets talk about the outside, when it comes to looking for parking it sucks its like a nightmare, sometimes I will be outside there for hours waiting for a spot, there is people in Parkchester that has 2 cars they take one out that spot and put the other car in the same spot, mean while your out there waiting.Sometimes other people comes in and try to take your spot, that is when the cursing comes out and the security gets involves.People throw things out the window and it stays there for weeks before the Maintenance notice that it's garbage there. All I can say is good luck to the new residence that move there. One more thing Parkchester sucks with those fake Police Officers. They should get real jobs.Security with out a gun they lost their dam mind.Peace”

“Parkchester has installed security cameras and security intercoms in all elevators in our building in the South Condominium . . I live on Unionport Road and walk down Archer Street everyday to get to my car in the Archer Garage. It used to be as described below but about 6 months ago they built a manned Security booth at that location and the groups that used to congregate are no longer there. It is brightly lit with floodlights now and security cameras. They also installed a security gate so that cars can no longer enter the circle in front of the garage . . no loitering by cars or people any longer. The maintenance of the building is actually very good . . cleaning is done on a daily basis . . even weekends I've noticed. I would recommend Parkchester. I've been in Parkchester since 1986 and restored my apartment . . the original oak parquet floors from 1939 are outstanding . . 9 foot ceilings . . original bathroom sink, tub, and fixtures are elegant . . art deco era. I put in a new kitchen (dishwashers are now permitted) and the investment was well worth it . . granite countertops, porcelain tile floors, new cabinets . . it has upgraded the apartment considerably. In 2001 or so Parkchester put in new plumbing, windows, and electrical for air conditioning and brought the complex back to life. A Metro-North station should be going up near our building in the next number of years with a 20-minute commute to Penn Station. Condo prices should appreciate considerably as a result. The Parkchester Subway Stop (No. 6 train) has been virtually re-built . . glass walls, white tile, 2 immense stained glass windows on either side of the station have really changed the experience of entering or leaving Parkchester. I took the 6 train in the middle of the day recently and with all local stops I still got to 50th Street stop in 30 minutes. Parkchester now has a Starbucks, Applebees, and of course Macy's on the main drag Metropolitan Ave. and the movie theater. For anyone with a car the Cross Bronx Expressway is right there (Exit 5A) and driving off hours to the city can get you to midtown in about 20 minutes. Overall I believe Parkchester is truly trying to upgrade every aspect of the complex and they have succeeded in many areas.”

“If you are looking for affordable living in NYC, easy accessibility to Manhattan, and shopping whether clothing or food then Parkchester is the place to consider. Sure, from time to time you will hear noise at night, and the parking isn't the best, but for the price it's the way to go. There is an express bus and access to major highways. Don't be fooled Parkchester is secret gem that is slowing being polished. Now, with the economy as it is Parkchester is a smart choice despite some silly blah...check it out!”

“The parking here is horrorific! Sometimes my mom has to circle around for 2 hours just to find a parking space. The walls are definitely thin because I can hear the couple next door arguing and I always hear the other neighbors music. I live by the water fountain, and the noise outside wakes me up early in the morning. I think its the garbage man, but I can also hear the little kids yelling downstairs too. Maybe its just in my building, but everyone is really nice here and always say hi or have a good evening when going on and off the elevator.”

“Parkchester is a community of employed people but it's OVERCROWDED. I have lived here for four months and cannot wait to leave. My cable does not work in the evenings. I called the cable company. They send out a technician. The cable box is fine. The problem is the low signal that's coming from the outside box. The technician explained to me that the community is overpopulated and therefore the boxes on the outside are overused, especially in the evenings when people come home. The neighborhood is noisy, too much traffic, paper thin walls, it's not worth it.”

“I live in an Apartment near the Movie Theater. The garbage trucks are so loud, you have to pause your music or t.v., until they are done. The walls are so thin, I heard the newborn that lives above me being conceived. Parchester Mgmt. is not happy to help you when things fall apart. My bathroom tile started peeling and falling apart. They sent an obese worker, who could barely fit in the bathroom to replace the tile. He threw grout all over (the walls, shower curtain, bath tub, floor). The stuff dried and hardened and it hell to clean up. The neighbor smells are atrocious. I don't know what is being cooked in these apartments, but it does not smell appetizing. It is safe and they keep up the Grounds (beware extremely noisy leaf blowers). Parking is non-existent. I have seen fist fights over parking spaces.”

“I recommend Parkchester and I don't recommend it. I was very excited about my apartment. It was big and the price was decent. However two weeks after my move in, I had to call management to exterminate my apartment because there were lots of roaches. Management is great, always responsive, but the roach infestation is horrible, walls are too thin, I can hear a pin drop in someone elses apartment floors down from me if I turned my television off. Teenagers hangout in the area all hours of the night and are noisy. The grass isn't well kept and parking is a nightmare. Pets are not allowed, but Section 8 is, which brings down the property even more. I recommend it to those who are looking for great management and a large apartment for a decent price. I also recommned it if you don't mind teenagers hanging out all hours of the night and roaches becoming apart of your household, you don't care to have pets and you don't own a car.”

“I rented a Parkchester condominium apartment 4 months ago. For renting i had to go through the south board approval, which took about 3 weeks. Agent Krystyna Jusman and broker Zakir Khan of Parkchester Real Estate helped me throught the approval process. Nice apartment, quite and safe. Rent only $925 for 1 bedroom. 4 minutes walking distance to subway, #6 Parkchester station. I really love the area. Lisa.”
