“Unit 405 Pros: Quaint nice building very nice staff in a quiet nice neighborhood Cons: Pest infestation, lots of complaints about mice and roaches. Lived for 3 years in a studio and saw many roaches mostly from the warmer months (May to September), but occasionally in October. Saw a lot of roaches crawling around in the common areas and hallways, sometimes even in the elevators. Advice to landlord: Take care of the deep roach infestation.”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Good location, kept away from midtown craziness. Cons: Water could get a little gross... didn't wanna drink from it. Drains get clogged and really gross really easily”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Unit 808 Pros: Good location. Fair rent. Responsive landlord. Quiet and peaceful location. Cons: Windows are beautiful but single pane. In the winter more winterization was required to keep out the cold.”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Location, doorman, laundry in-building, beautiful water views Cons: Old and needs some renovations, and can be noisy during the day”
“Pros: Tudor style 1927 building. Lots of charm. 24 hour doorman. Some apts have amazing views. Park literally outside your front door. Cons: Small spaces, but keeps the rent affordable”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Close proximity to transportation, and quaint historic neighborhood, with well maintained and beautifully landscaped gardens. Cons: Poorly managed building, on the verge of bankruptcy, corruption, constantly undergoing disruptive construction, poor repairs, limited laundry room access that is cash only, mildew in washing machines, filthy storage room, gratuitus fees (i.e. furniture/electronics disposal and assessments), restaurant and film shoots in building lead to loud noises, high foot traffic, extreme vermin infestation, and take up street parking.”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice quiet location, nice doormen, fast elevators. Cons: All the pipes in this building need to be completely replaced. They are always turning the water off because there is always some kind of issue. The staff should put us up in hotels when this happens in case we need to use the bathroom or take a shower. Also, some of the hallways are dirty and doors have chipped paint. Also, this and I think most Tudor City buildings do not let food deliveries come directly to your door and it’s been that way even before COVID. If you order food, the doorman will call you and you’ll have to go downstairs to get it. Advice to landlord: See the “cons” description above and act on it.”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Cheaper rents than most of Manhattan, safe area Cons: Lots of renter turnover makes it feel like a long term stay hotel. Staff isn’t very friendly. Building could be better maintained.”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Very Quiet. But thats about it. Oh and very nice doorman squads Cons: DISGUSTINGLY infested with bugs and mouse and every dirty shit Advice to landlord: Please erradicate your building of bugs”
— 45 TUDOR CITY PLACE · Manhattan“Pros: Well managed financially stable building. Amazing history and architecture with a stunning rooftop. Gorgeous renovated lobby and hallways. The rooftop has beautiful furniture and wifi so you can work and dine there. Apartments mostly face leafy green parks. Close knit community of supportive neighbors. Cons: Windows get drafty particularly in the winter. They are historic and beautiful but single pane. Advice to landlord: Add extra heat in winter to balance the windows.”
