PHILIP HOWARD APARTMENTS TENANTS CP · avg 3.7 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Neighbors are nice. Maintenance and package room staff is lovely. Apartments are big. Location is great because of shops. Cons: The pool has been closed for 2 years. A playground was build and can't be accessed. Security staff is constantly changing. There are ridiculous package room rules because they can't afford to pay more people. Not sure if there have been any shareholder meetings since before covid. There use to be a community room and it was rented to someone that doesn't live in the building. The is an outside part of the building that is completely inaccessible because it's cover in over grown plants, trees, and wild cats. Advice to landlord: Fix the building and make spaces accessible again. This isn't about covid safety is about a lack of money.”
— 1655 FLATBUSH AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: The building is peaceful and friendly. It is kept clean and in decent repair. Cons: There are some rules and regs that seem unnecessary and residents have no voice. The Board of Directors is totally unresponsive and treats the residents like daycare children instead of grown adults. Just very disrespectful. Advice to landlord: The building Board, stop being dictatorial. The landlord, stop trying to rip off the tenants claiming the rent wasn’t paid and threatening eviction when there are monthly receipts and records to prove otherwise.”
— 1655 FLATBUSH AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: 24/7 Doorman Quiet Target Across Street 2/5 Train nearby Tons of fast food chains nearby The Super and his helpers are amazing! Cons: Mice! Roaches! Water bugs dead all over basement! If your apartment isn’t newly renovated beware of all the creatures! Bad pipes! Leakage in walls. Advice to landlord: This building needs work. The 24/7 doorman is the only thing worth paying for.”
