“Unit D Pros: The building has good trash management. The doorman is a nice touch for package delivery. The public outdoor space is also nice. Cons: The gym is rarely well maintained. Things are always broken in there and the laundry machines are often also having issues. Advice to landlord: Improve the state of the gym.”

— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: -doorman -elevator -nice roof deck -Gym in basement Cons: -Rent increases -loud neighbors -Lot of college students”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Have lived here 3 years and has been great! The unit is great and modern for East Village. Doormen friendly. AMAZINGGGG view on roof. Pelotons in gym a plus (otherwise old equipment). No laundry machine issues. Cons: More minor but have a few. Migrant reticketed center across street has caused a bit of unrest. Building skews younger/post-grad so can be rowdy at times especially on roof. Management is sort of hard to reach easily. Kind of pricey, Doormen friendly but they aren't super strict about who they let in so safety could be concern for some but have never had issues.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doorman, no package theft, small gym, laundry in basement, roof, patios, big rooms, fair rent Cons: A lot of NYU students if you are older Advice to landlord: keep it up”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 616 Pros: The rooftop views are unbeatable and I really enjoyed my time living here. Cons: The units are all mostly flexed, making some bedrooms really small and closet space tight”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good amenities and great location Cons: Rowdy tenants who party all throughout the weekends.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Roof access, gym, new laundry machines Cons: Had issues with appliances & toilet. They would fix it but not well, causing us to have them repair multiple times etc”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 313 Pros: So many amenities (and don't typically have the issue of too many people trying to use them), great maintenance team, nice size apartments with updated features. Cons: It is a BIG building, so we have had major issues that were addressed immediately but if it is not an emergency things are put on the back burner. We had our toilet flood our bathroom twice and both times someone was up immediately to fix it. As well, we had a mouse and they came up immediately and set traps but never came back to fill the hole. Advice to landlord: Some of the machines in the gym have never worked”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great roof for great parties Cons: can tend to be a little loud Advice to landlord: nothing to say”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - amazing location in EV - elevator - every room has massive windows and lots of natural light - beautiful rooftop Cons: - not responsive to work orders that are more work-intensive but important (e.g. kitchen vent not pulling enough smoke from cooking)”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good roof, nice doormen Cons: Far from subway, could be a little cleaner”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location Laundry in building Elevator Cons: Residents - NYU students with no regard for anyone else Thin walls - can hear neighbors screaming at each other Doormen are rude Constant construction Advice to landlord: Stop renting to students, make sure that they understand noise levels and mask policies”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: very clean and felt like a nice community Cons: landlord was hard to get into contact with Advice to landlord: just to be easier to get into contact with”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen are the best, never had a package stolen, maintenance is pretty responsive and helpful Cons: LOUD AND INCONSIDERATE NEIGHBORS the building does not care about noise levels at all, roaches in our apartment (they did bring in pest control within a couple weeks of reporting but it didn’t stop the issue), rooftop is nice but owners let tenants pay to have parties on it in the summer which means you will have to deal with feeling like you live in a club every night because management doesn’t care about the noise level of the parties they just use it to bring in even more $$$, have also had issues with brown water coming out of the taps, and washers and dryers are constantly out of service and ruining clothes. Advice to landlord: Actually care about noise levels and partying that goes on in the building, get the pest problems under control, actually do maintenance on the laundry room!!!”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Really nice staff, clean, responsive to work orders, nice building Cons: The residents are loud and annoying Advice to landlord: Don’t make it a college dorm”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building is clean and well maintained and the staff is super kind and responsive. All repairs are submitted through an online portal. I very much enjoyed living here. Cons: The property management company can be slow to respond, especially in regards to lease renewal, etc. Advice to landlord: Keep it up :)”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 615 Pros: Doormen, location, updated apartment, quick to resolve issues Cons: Loud parties most weekends, laundry room a plus but get crowded and there were times half of the machines were broken Advice to landlord: Keep up with laundry room but other than that great staff and great building.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The staff does a great job of running the building. Doormen are awesome. Cons: Management doesn’t respond to emails and hard to speak to anyone on the phone. Advice to landlord: Give heat more dynamically. When it’s cold out there’s too much heat. And when it’s really cold out there’s not enough heat.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: We got lucky with Covid driving the prices way down and therefor our rent is very affordable. Usually this building would be hideously overpriced. Gym and laundry both in basement, doorman, courtyard, communal roof deck. As good of a location as it gets. Small patio in our apartment. Nice kitchen with large counter and good appliances. Cons: Normally very overpriced in non-Covid times, very nervous what’s gonna happen to our rent when we go to renew. Equipment in the gym and laundry room is frequently broken for long stretches of time.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rooftop, courtyard, location, super Cons: Balcony floors are made of grates.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location Nice doormen Fun rooftops Cons: - Back elevator broke down almost 3 times a month. I’ve also gotten stuck on it which is terrifying. - Management is completely disorganized, they don’t have a phone number and when you email, you speak to a different person almost every time. I have also been yelled at over the phone by them for requesting maintenance to our apt. - Half of the laundry machines are usually broken. - Every maintenance fix to the building and/or apts is just patch work. It’s done the cheapest quickest way, and usually the fix is broken again weeks later. - Management will try to take your security for the smallest things and has ignored my emails before when trying to retrieve my deposit back. Advice to landlord: Have a more organized management team/system. If you’re trying to sell this building as a “luxury” building, then treat it like one.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Gym and laundry, perfect location right on Tompkins Square Park Cons: Poorly maintained gym and laundry, some cockroaches”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rooftops, gym and laundry Cons: Younger lot, can get loud on weekends, 12-15 min walk to the subway Advice to landlord: Okay”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The apartment was pest-free and overall a good place to live Cons: The laundry room machines were always broken”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Best rooftop in the East Village, new appliances in the units, 24h friendly doormen, elevator never out of order. Right next to the park also Cons: Far from the subway Advice to landlord: None come to mind”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Love the views from our balcony and how big it is which is very rare and the big bathrooms. Cons: Henry tried to rip you off on your lease when you sign but you just have to push hard. Advice to landlord: Make the doormen wear masks.”
— 190 EAST 7 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Small gym, community laundry, private patio, 24/7 doorman, furnished rooftop, elevator!! Cons: Far from any trains :( Advice to landlord: Doorman and handyman were both really helpful, but management property could sometimes be hard to get in touch with for questions about rent changes or lease agreements. Also wasn’t super friendly.”
